History
Established in 1984.
Marcus Attorneys provides a wide range of services to commercial and institutional clients and to individuals and families. In a quarter century, the practice has broadened from an initial focus on real estate, commercial transactions and non-profit matters. Now the firm also represents clients in an extensive range of commercial and personal litigation, and trust and estate matters.

Jed M.
Business Owner
Jed S. Marcus is the principal attorney of Marcus Attorneys. Before forming Marcus Attorneys, in 1984, he served as an executive in New York City economic development agencies. As Executive Vice President of the New York City Public Development Corporation (later, the Economic Development Corporation) he directed planning, construction, industrial and neighborhood development.
In addition to his work at Marcus Attorneys, Mr. Marcus is the coordinator of Green Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, president of the board of directors of The Skyscraper Museum, a trustee of Horizons at Brooklyn Friends School, a director of the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District, a past director of the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York and past president of the board of Dance Theater Workshop.
Mr. Marcus is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Columbia University School of Law. He, his wife and their daughters are longtime residents of Fort Greene.
