Hello everyone! my name is Vlad Kagan and i am a proud owner and a licensed Optician of Milan Optique since December of 2011. We at Milan Optique strive everyday to provide the utmost Customer Service and quality eye-​wear to all patients. i have over 13 year of hands on experience working and learning everyday, listening to patients to provide better service and better vision. We provide high quality eye-​wear and guarantee on ALL work! we offer all service, including repair, optometry, sunglasses, luxury eye-​wear, contact lenses, and a friendly environment. every patient will receive individual attention and recommendation. my goal is to have each patient walk out the door with 20⁄20 vision while looking their best !! I believe that in business if you make one patient happy, i will get 10 patients, if i make one patient unhappy i will loose 10 patients, so in this case i will make sure everything in my power, that all patients will leave satisfied and that is my PROMISE to you !.

My mother was visiting out of state and unfortunately her reading glasses broke but we are highly glad we found this place. Great prices, wide selection of eyewear and they were able to squeeze her in for the Ophthalmologist to examine her eyes (Free of charge). Vlad is amazing as is the rest of the staff. Mom is back home strutting her new shades!

I’m actually a returning customer who previously left to try a different place that didn’t work out for me. Came right back the year after.
This place is authentic, great customer services and accommodating to each of their customers needs. They really go above and beyond to make sure you have the correct frames. I wear my glasses everyday and I really need them all the time.
Bonus part is the one year warranty. I broke mine and was able to get brand new ones same day. No hassle. Really great deal!

I went in to get my sunglasses fixed and they were so helpful! My husband and I buy ray bans here all the time and enjoy the service. I am thinking about going there for my eye exams since they take my vision coverage.

I went in for an eye exam and had a very pleasant experience. I got there early and they accommodated me by seeing my earlier than my appointment. The optometrist, a woman, and the guy in the front — unfortunately I don’t know their names — were both super friendly and patient. They also offered me a bottle of wine as a gift! Definitely recommend this place.

The staff and selection are great and friendly. This negative review is based on the optometrist I saw.
I’ve noticed seeing some flashes on my left eye and mentioned to the optometrist who saw me. He seemed disinterested and didnt make any comment on it until I asked him again if he knew what could have caused this toward end of the exam. He asked if what have changed lately and I said I use my phone before I go to bed at nighttime. He then told me then I should stop doing that and just brushed me off. I later saw an ophthalmologist because the symptom persisted. The ophthalmologist did a full eye exam including dilating my pupils and looking into my retina. She said I should’ve come to see a doctor sooner because it could be something serious and time sensitive. I am not here to expect a full eye exam like I got with an ophthalmologist, but I would expect the optometrist to tell me to see an opthalmologist if he didn’t know what to do with my symptom and not brush me off. That optometrist does not deserve to call himself a doctor. I would not come back again.

Excellent service, assortment and prices. They adjusted the nose pads on my old frames (not bought here) for free. So I bought my next pair of frames here and was very happy with the time they took (even going outside with a mirror to see the color in true sunlight instead of fluorescent light.) I can not say enough of how good this place is, especially compare to other poor choices and bad experiences in NW Brooklyn.

I usually wear contacts but then I realized I need a pair of glasses to wear for couple of hours on weekends.
After some research I found this optique and decided to try it out.
Came all the way from Bushwick to Park slope and found a very nice store with 2 great gentlemen (who I suppose are Russian guys) and ordered a decent pair of glasses covered by my health insurance.

Quick and easy.
The guy even gave me a pair of some superb contacts to try on.
So far my experience is very good, let’s wait until I’ll get my glasses done.

I just had the most amazing experience at Milan Optique that I couldn’t wait to write this review. As soon as I entered I was met with a warm, genuine welcome from Eileen. You can tell she has a passion for her job and it shows right away. The entire staff was so inviting. I arrived early to allow time for me to file any new patient paperwork, it was so fast and painless and they were able to see me before my scheduled appointment. I am so pleased with with them that I HIGHLY recommend them. If you stop by, please say «Hello» to Eileen for me. :)

One of the BEST places you can go for all your eye care needs!!! Lets start with the check up, I took my 6 year old to get her eyes tested and I myself went for an annual check up. The Optometrists was very friendly and funny, we literally laughed thru the entire process, she was very knowledgeable and a pleasure, she explained the process and made sure we understood what she was doing. My 6 year old (who’s normally scared of doctors) was so happy and boast about how much fun the experience was, the office was very kid friendly and catered to all ages, my daughter was very comfortable and enjoy the atmosphere. After our exams and check ups, we were escorted back to the counter and explained the billing process and had all our questions answered. Vlad was amazing, he really knows his stuff, very friendly and helpful, he probably went thru his entire store trying to help me pick the perfect frame for myself and my daughter, he made sure we were happy and gave his honest opinion and i didn’t feel like i was just being feed bait, like other places where they only show you the expensive frames. Vlad just wanted to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our frames and how it look on us. After we both decided on our frames and the sale was complete it was already late on a Friday night, Vlad went in the back and came back out with 2 bottles of wine… Woohoo!!! The best customer service and most friendly environment, would definitely recommend and will be back for all my eye care needs…

Exactly what I hoped my neighborhood opticians and eyeglass store would be. Eileen and Vlad were positive, no-​pressure, and went out of their way for me. I’ve spent time digging through racks of marked-​down sunglasses at discount stores, trying to find a pair that I could live with. It’s much nicer having knowledgeable people and a good selection on hand. Plus, I got to see probably the friendliest guinea pig I’ll ever meet.

It had been at least a year since my last check-​up and needed to find an optometrist in my part of Brooklyn, and I couldn’t have found a better place. I actually didn’t mind the wait, as it was clear that Vlad and the other employees were plenty busy engaging with the customers inside the shop. Plus, I was able to book a 6:30 appointment — quite a rarity! My optometrist was very nice, attentive, and made the check-​up hassle-​free.
Since I already own a few pairs of frames, I was just looking to get my lenses updated. Vlad heard my request and suggested I check out the Crizal lenses. While I wasn’t looking to put too much money into my lenses, when Vlad showed me the benefits of his own Crizal lenses, I was totally sold. What a salesman! He even offered to change both my lenses into Crizals for a great discount, but I just went with 1 paid. To sweeten the deal, he threw in a bottle of wine! Now THAT’s customer service. The lenses were ready in a couple of days, and I’ve never been able to see so clearly through my lenses. Definitely going back to Milan for my next checkup!

The owner of the store name is Vlad, he is a pleasant and funny guy who really knows his stuff! He works quickly and efficiently to find the perfect frames that flatter your features. There is a vast selection of eye wear in the store, tons of mirrors to see yourself from every angle. He has quality glasses and does right by his customers in terms of price. Ask for a discount and you will probably get one! The doctor is professional, she takes her time when performing the eye exam and is very thorough, which is important because I use my eyeballs daily. My friends and family get their prescription lenses and sunglasses from him and always thank me for sending them there. I am very satisfied with this establishments cleanliness and customer service. I highly recommend this Optical.

I am by far SO GLAD I asked a friend where does she go for her glasses! Working and going to school in the city I was limiting myself to the closest eyeglass place around my job and school. I was NOT too happy with the customer service with any of the places I went to in the city. Certain areas in Brooklyn as well, the customer service and just the way they did services wasn’t too pleasant.
I was hoping Milan Optique would turn my bad experiences to finally a good one and I have to admit 100% they did. The customer service in this place is amazing and deserves well over 5 stars! The owner knows exactly what works with different individuals, he gives you options and explains everything thoroughly. He doesn’t pressure you AT ALL. Both him and the receptionist (forgive me, I didn’t get her name) but both walked around the store with me picking out all types of frames and helping me find just the right ones for me and I must say BOTH had a really great eye on what would work for me. They were extremely patient, and even when it got busy they made sure to let me know they would be right with me that they didn’t forget about me. I mean c’mon, where else would you find that!!! NO WHERE!
I am HIGHLY recommending this place! You want great quality for decent prices and long lasting eyewear, where you’re comfortable with your purchase and you feel comfortable with the staff and service then you need to come and give this place a shot because believe me, where ever you were going beforehand, you won’t be returning because just like me you will fall in love!
I am spreading the word to friends and I am going to be returning with family as well! You also get a perfect gift before leaving, I mean its just an awesome place overall. 5+ stars!

I was just walking pass, trying to get familiar with this area, being that I just moved over here. Walked in the store shopping for glasses for my kids and myself. The customer service here DESERVE more the 5 STARS. They were very helpful, also very patient. I asked a lot of questions and every question were answered fully and explained to me very well.
I’ve had my fair share of BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUT, here they went above and beyond.
I was able to find some very nice glasses for myself and my children.
I felt so comfortable here that I will definitely be back here shopping and will also refer them.

Was told my glass frames were fake, and that the lenses I needed were out of stock. Very little customer service. Went somewhere else on 5th and had new lenses in three days time.

Believe the Unilocal hype! Don’t be afraid of prices in boutique places like we were. You can get designer frames, top quality lenses, and good service, all at a fair price you can live with. Probably much lower than you think!
My wife and were shopping for glasses and doing a lot of research. My last few pairs of glasses have been from lenscrafters and I refused to overpay for stylish frames with mediocre lenses. We looked at the usual online shops like Warby Parker and Zenni Optical. We looked around for reviews at local shops, including even Costco. To be honest we thought we didn’t have the budget for the glasses/​sunglasses we wanted. But we still wanted to look great!
We ended up going in to Milan and came out with 4 pairs of glasses including 2 pairs of sunglasses! Vlad and his staff went out of their way to help us try on frames after frames after frames until we found the perfect 10 look on each of us for all 4 pairs. He was very knowledgeable on styles and trends and even took the time to get to know our personalities when choosing the right frames. He then worked with us to put together a great deal and even helped us research our options including our insurance, groupon deals, rebates, etc. True, it was a more expensive than if we went to Warby Parker or the others. But the selection, the service, and the quality, is far, far superior. Now have looks that we never would found anywhere else. The lenses are a higher quality. And the fit is far better too!

Found out about this place thanks to an Amazon deal. My prescription expired and I decided to hunt for a deal. The current special is $ 50 for contact and eye exam plus $ 35 toward contacts and $ 200 toward lenses and frames. The exam and contact deal part of the deal was great. Glasses are soooooooooooo expensive and due to my interest in being frugal I decided to go elsewhere for glasses.
However, service here was stellar. All of the team seemed very positive and upbeat and was very helpful. I would definitely consider them next year when it’s time for a new exam.

One of the best customer service experiences I have had at any establishment. Vlad knows what it means to retain customers for the business and he does just that by being honest and straightforward while getting you the best deal possible on exactly what you want.
