I’ve been having a love affair with Mom’s(formerly called Q) since I moved to Park Slope 2 years ago. This place is no frills, but it’s clean, friendly and very reasonably priced — $ 22 for a mani/pedi and $ 25 for a gel mani. The ladies are sweet, accommodating, and do a really thorough job. I always take any female visitors with me when they’re in town, and they’re always begging to go back. I’m already looking forward to my shellac mani tomorrow!

This place closed down and opened a few blocks away. It’s a little pricier but still great for a friendly wax or mani-pedi

I was drawn to Mom’s Beauty Nails for its reasonable prices. The woman giving me a pedicure was talking to her friend and not looking at me while she loofah-ed my feet and SKINNED my ankle. I was bleeding(not a good thing to be in a nail parlor where hygiene is a concern to begin with) and now I have a SCAR that will never go away. I Unilocaled(;)) and asked her to be careful because I was with a girlfriend and didn’t want to throw a fit. The woman who had painfully scraped my ankle went right on talking to her friend and seemed to think my wound was funny. Stay away from this place, for your own good.

I love this place! It’s not particularly upscale, or, necessarily pretty to look at, but the women who work here are so accommodating, friendly and happy. Diane is a sweetheart, and I try to get her whenever I go. They only take cash, but the prices are great. I’m also confident about it being clean and safe.
