Park Slope Tanning

I went in for a tan with one of my girlfriends and the girl at the desk told me AFTER I had paid 23 for a bed that there was someone in that specific bed, plus a person waiting to go in there for a fifteen minute session before me. I was like that’s a bummer I wish you had told be me that before, I’ll just switch mine to a different bed… seemed easy enough. She said I could either go into the 10 dollar bed with no refund for the bed I just paid for, or pay to upgrade to a new bed… So not only did the employee screw up but she’s acting as though I have to take responsibility for it and either pay extra or lose money? Bullshit. My past salons showed way more interest in their customers. This place only cares about profit. I will not be going back, and the several friends that I have referred there won’t be either. If you’re looking for a place that actually cares about their customers, this is not the place.

This was my first spray tan/​airbrush tan so I was very nervous! I wanted just a tiny bit of color before my wedding but didn’t want it to look fake. The girl was super nice and helpful and did an amazing job. My skin looked very natural and was exactly what I was hoping for!

I went in for an airbrush tanning spray and came out looking bronze! Staff was very professional and knowledgeable and made me feel really comfortable.
I will definitely be back for another airbrush spray especially during the winter season.
I also went to pay for my tanning and the worker reminded me that I had a UV spray session in the system that I bought from groupon months ago to use anytime.
Facility is very clean and appointments are always on time if not earlier. Thank you !!

I got a groupon and I’m glad I did. The dirk there was super sweet! I was scared of doing a lay down bed b/​c I always do stand up. But the high level ones here are lay down. And she was super understanding and accommodating. She promised if I felt uncomfortable I could at any point end it and go to the stand up! She didn’t pressure me into buying any products or memberships. I enjoyed my experience here and plan to come back again.

My cousin recommended this place after I complemented her on her tan which I thought was natural and then she told me it was a spray tan I was so impressed it looked like she spent a week in Hawaii or something!

I have been tanning for many years now and this place has been by the far my favorite tanning spot. Before I came to Park Slope tanning, I was regular customer at Beach Bum tanning and then Alaskan Sun. This place by far surpasses them because of the customer service that is provided by the employees. Victoria is very helpful and explained me there system very well. My tans always come out great and I always leave satisfied. Plus the place is extremely sanitary. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who tans or wants to start tanning.

Unless you like being ripped off, don’t go here. I bought a 5 tan package in May, used the beds twice, and came back in early July only to find out that my package had «expired.» I was never emailed about the expiration or even told when buying the package that it would expire in two months. The blonde women who was working there could care less about my astonishment or disappointment, and I asked for her managers number and she wouldn’t give it to me. She said «he would call me.» There is a extremely small sign that she pointed me to saying that it explains that a 5 package deal expires in two months, but if you have bad vision you can’t even read it. Terrible customer service, and a rip off if you ask me. Don’t bother going here.

I don’t tan very often but needed a base before I go on vacation. The girl in the front was very helpful and didn’t steer me wrong.
She gave me a bronzer lotion at a discount price to help me buy it since I was being hesitant and I don’t regret it! My tan looks good and natural and I didn’t burn.

Super great place. Good range of beds and they always have deals going on. Spray tan and airbrush tan options too. Great staff. Have been coming here for almost 4 years!

Just moved into the neighborhood and was worried I wouldn’t have a tanning salon near me. When I walked into this place felt very welcomed prices was good the staff was good overall place is thumbs up !!

I highly recommend this place!!! I was referred by a friend and decided to get the airbrush tan. It came out PERFECT.
The employee who sprayed me explained everything clearly and I was in and out in no time. Best tanning salon in BK!!!

Love this place. Good prices, friendly staff, and well maintained equipment. They also offer great package deals. Best overall tanning salon experience I’ve had in Brooklyn or Manhattan.

As an African American woman living in New York City, I never understood the need to tan. It wasn’t until I realized that by merely living here I was suffering from a vitamin D deficiency. A friend recommended that I start tanning to balance it out and recommended me to Park Slope Tanning. I went skeptical that I was going to retain a summer bronze glow and actually look more like a member of the jersey shore. I was instantly relieved when the courteous staff welcomed me and put all of my fears aside by explaining how the process will work for me and the best treatment for my complexion. I took noticed immediately of how clean the location is and was excited about actually starting the process. The gracious staff member escorted me to my room, which was also clean and spacious, and explained to me in thorough detail how to work the tanning bed. please keep in mind that this is my first time tanning so I was stumped and her patience was key as I had her explain it twice. once the procedure was complete, I instantly realized how revitalized, smooth and even my skin was. it had a glow that reminded me of sitting in the sun at the beach for just the right amount of time, that look that all girls love in the summer. the best part about it was that it lasted for 2 weeks. and with the promotion that they are running where you can tan for free on Sundays with the purchase of a very reasonable priced lotion set, tanning at twice a month here was something that was easy to fit into my New York Minute budget. Whether you are tanning for a summer glow in the winter or looking to balance your Vitamin D intake, Park Slope Tanning is definitely the way to do. I strongly recommend them to everyone the same way they were strongly recommended to me.

I just came back from the shop and must say the tan is great. I usually break out and get spots on my face but the lotion I used today was wonderful! Deff stop by and get a package it’s worth it especially with the cold weather.. And get a lotion you will love this place!!!

I give them 4 stars just because I think they are a little too expensive for how the place is… Tiny and not super renovated. But everything else it’s amazing… Nice, clean, people there are friendly and my skin looked perfectly and uniformly tanned after the sun bed.

I hate when everybody writes reviews only to complain about something. I liked this place. I think they have the best tanning bed, I’m talking about the matrix, and I was actually really satisfied with their services. I mean, I get it. It’s a little bit expensive, but kinda worth it. Really nice tanning salon and I will definitely go back. :)

I went with my friend and she got a tan. She her tan was very even and nicely done. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as i waited for my friends tan to be done. This location is clean and spacious.

As a follow-​up, I had bought a pack of sessions but was then told my few remaining visits had expired.
Like yogurt.
I didn’t know tanning beds were so quick to expire. Or that electricity was vanishing.
But yes, i seems a number of the sessions offered here will vanish pretty quickly.
I can appreciate not wanting to carry dept/​obligations into the next fiscal year, but there’s no reason to penalize people for not getting some rays when it’s snowing out.
