Prohealth Urgent Care – Brooklyn Heights

Facility was very clean, I was seen quickly, and the doctor patched me up in about ten minutes. She called and left a voicemail to follow up the next day to see how I was doing. No nonsense, effective care. Definitely come by if you live in the neighborhood.
The address is confusing as it has the same street number as the large office building next door. Walk one door north on Court Street from the office building to find the entrance.

I was seen quickly and treated compassionately by Dr Klein, but the nurse (RN or MA, I’m not sure) was texting on her phone and very apathetic towards my care. She went through the motions of very briefly and coldly asking about my medical history and allergies while taking my vitals with a dead look in her eyes indicating she’d rather be doing absolutely anything else.
Dr. Weiss opted for dermabond in treating my lacerated thumb which at the time I thought would be okay, but I made it clear I thought I needed sutures. After 5 minutes of cleaning and gluing, I went home and started noticing blood collecting under the adhesive and coming out of a side that was not adequately glued. I bled throughout the night all over my sheets and the next morning, while removing a pair of gloves (I also work in healthcare) the dermabond ripped off, further damaging the laceration. I was bleeding like crazy so opted for the ER at NYU and they promptly gave me a digital block and four sutures. They said dermabond should NEVER be used on a laceration actively bleeding. I was also put on antibiotics dice there was a delay in proper treatment.
If you have trauma, do NOT go to this urgent care center!

After a slower intake process than I expected due to the absence of other patients, I got taken care of very quickly, efficiently and well. The technician/​nurse was very pleasant and professional. The doctor was smart and quick but I never felt rushed. I would absolutely recommend this over any hospital emergency room for non-​life threatening issues. My prescriptions were waiting for me at my pharmacy when I got there. Very well handled.

I am highly impressed. The moment I walked through the door nothing but pure care and concern. They treated me as if I was a mother caring for a child… POLITE, COURTEOUS and CARING. The place was clean and even the aroma pleasant. The Dr was so Professional and Warm hearted… As an employee of a Hospital… This is the kind of treatment that keeps you coming back. Not to mention the follow up call… WOW…I RECOMMEND coming to this urgent care facility… I’m never going to an ER Again unless I’m in traumatic state and they Can’t treat it. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.

Been here twice since it opened. Staff is courteous. Doctors are attentive and they followed up with a phone call to see how I was feeling.
