After a traumatic eyebrow threading I was hesitant to get my eyebrows threaded again until I discovered sika. The ladies here are both sweet and talented.
My eyebrows have the best shape they have had in years and the process is virtually painless.
As an added bonus: They have a punch card where you get the eighth threading free!

I decided to try Sika Threading Salon after looking through a couple of options. Everyone seemed quite satisfied with their results and the pictures also looked nice. I was excited to go and was greatly kindly by Kaya, who threaded my eyebrows for me. Unfortunately the experience was less than satisfying. I have gotten my eyebrows done once before and the result was a thin eyebrow that left me quite unhappy. I was afraid of this happening again, which is why I did an extensive amount of research to find a good spot. When she started, no questions were asked at all beyond what can I help you with today. I feel like for something like eyebrows, she should’ve done more in asking what I would like my brows to look like or what shape I was going for or anything of the sort. Instead, she immediately began threading without asking any questions. I thought okay fine maybe this is how it’s supposed to be since I had no experience at these places. At the end of it, I was shown a mirror and honestly surprised at the results, but in a bad way. They turned out almost exactly like the first time I had them done, but maybe a bit better. The main issue is that I didn’t go in looking for a brand new shape yet much of the bottom portion of my eyebrow was threaded off. I explained that they seemed a bit thin and her response was that she had to do them that way in order to get the shape. My biggest issue is the fact that I didn’t really talk about any shape I wanted, or anything at all. For something like eyebrow shaping or haircuts or anything of that sort, I would expect a number of questions to make sure everything will turn out in the way I prefer. Instead, with no questions asked and straight to threading. I’m not satisfied with the results at all and now will be growing them back and avoiding these experiences. The most unfortunate part is that I should’ve realized sooner that questions needed to be asked, but I would also assume that that’s a part of the job. I’m definitely not saying oh my god I hate the way they turned out, but I’m not really happy with the overall experience and wish it could’ve gone better since many people seem very happy with the outcome. However, I definitely prefer my eyebrows pre threading and most likely will not be returning.

Kaya was friendly and this was my second time for her to do my Brazilian wax. Just like the first time, it felt very rushed — no one wants a Brazilian to take a long time but I am also paying for a thorough service. Both times there were small patches of hair that were missed around the bikini line. I went back a second time because I was nearby and I didn’t have any ingrown hairs the first time — and that’s a big deal for me — so thumbs up for that! However, ingrown hairs can usually be self-​maintained so not all the credit goes here. I’m taking off stars because of the service itself. First, it was the most painful waxing I’ve ever had, and I’ve been getting them for almost 10 years. Sure, it had been about three months since my last wax but this amount of pain was new to me. She did ask if I was ok and I preferred to just power through it. Most concerning is this part: she broke the sticks in half that she’d be dipping in the wax, I suppose so as not to waste. Fine, however, as I was walking to the train I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my ass and it was a SPLINTER! Yup, I was that girl in the dark corner of the train station trying to figure out what the heck was in her ass. :/​Additionally, when I turned over for her to wax my cheeks she had me lay in a pile of used sticks that she had covered with the table lining paper — didn’t realize they were under the paper until I got up to get dressed. Not comfortable.
And, for those of you who care, there’s no music or background noise to keep other patrons from hearing everything that’s going on.

They’re quite busy, but for good reason. Excellent threading and wax services. I NEVER break out, and I have very sensitive skin.

I used to trek into midtown for high quality threading services so when this place opened up, I decided to give it a try. I’ve been going here since they set up shop and not a single time have I been disappointed. Simi & Kaya both do flawless work.

Sika Threading is amazing. I’m very particular about my eyebrows, I know exactly what I want and how they should look. Here at Sika, my expectations were exceeded. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting with Kaya yet, I’m sure she is just as awesome as Simi.
Simi listened to my exact instructions and executed flawlessly. The service here is perfection. Simi listened to my request, took her time and gave me the best eyebrow shape ever. I really like that Simi takes her time and pays attention to your face and the shape that you want.
In addition to the flawless service, the prices are great too. I highly recommend this salon even if you have to trek out there, it is completely worth it. They know exactly what they’re doing and appreciate the fact that threading is an art form.

Simi is awesome! She is gentle and my eyebrows come out perfect. The space is clean and cozy.

First time I went the women over threaded my right eyebrow but my left brow looked amazing. I was a bit scared to give it another try so I waited a year and when I finally returned last week I told her exactly what I wanted and my brows look great. Definitely worth it, super affordable and super close to the train.

Simi is the best for brows! Works so quickly, painlessly, and my eyebrows look amazing. I don’t know how she does it.

This is my go to place for all my personal care need. Great place with wonderful and efficient service. Both ladies seem very sweet. I have only had services with Simi (will try Kaya next time). Since the two ladies own the place together I don’t feel the need to tip. Their prices are great as well.

This review is long over due. The shop is definitely a hidden gem on a quiet side street in Greenpoint. It is out of my way but being that it is hard to find a consistent threader, the commute is worth it. Kaya is absolutely amazing! I’ve been her client for over a year and she flawlessly perfects my brows every time. Her Brazilian waxes are the least painful that I’ve experienced by far. She takes her time and does a wonderful job in making the process as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend Sika Threading!

Had a few visits here so far. 1^st– Waxing hurts like heck and i don’t think that will ever change for me.
This place is out of the way for me but based on Unilocal reviews I decided to give a go (and returned again there).
Place is small and clean. You can usually book a same day appointment. I am not sure when busy season exactly is.
MY first appt here was for armpit waxing. Then I had it done for Bikini.
The women are professional, I love that I can get in and out without my time being hijacked and the prices are fabulous.

Simi is the sweetest lady and has a magic touch. She a better threader than my Iranian aunts (and that’s saying ALOT) she has a super light touch and is relatively pain free.
I went to her for a Bikini wax yday, by far my best waxing experience — ever. I would happily pay double for her services.
Go see Simi, she’s a fallen hair removal angel.

Great spot for a quick $ 35 lash job! They last two weeks, or longer if you care for them properly (no water near them or hot showers the first 48 hours, no rubbing them ever, remove eye make up with q tips).
Kaya did my lashes and at first they were way too short, so I asked her to use the LONG lashes, she did and they turned out awesome! Fairly dramatic but I can always trim them afterward if need be. Great spot and good pricing.

I’ve gone three times to this salon, I usually make my appointments ahead of time with Simi but every appointment I go she claims that she had other client and says we’re are late therefore we wait 20 minutes or more, overbooking her appointments. When she began to thread my eyebrows I noticed she was rushing to finish and created a larger arch than usual. I then asked her if she can fix them but she seemed bothered about this request and sighed. I had high hopes for this threading salon but unfortunately because of this experience I won’t be returning as I do have a tight schedule.

Love love love this place! Simmy is always to nice and welcoming, everytime I come, she’s there… She’s done everything from my eyebrow threading and tinting to my Brazilian wax! I’ve never had a Brazilian before here and she made the experience as quick and painless as possible.
On my last trip here today, Kaya was the only one there but with my Nikkah days away and no other options, I decided to give her a try and let me tell you… BEST DECISION EVER! I thought Simmy was great but Kaya went above and beyond! Again, very quick, as pain free as possible.
The key difference is the care Kaya gave me afterwards and the amount of area she took care of… She poured oil on me, wiped me down and even did my entire backside area and parts of my stomach and thighs which she didn’t have to do.
I loved her even more! Sadly, I’m moving to CA but when I come back, she’s my top choice!

I had been trying to grow my eyebrows out for a few weeks after I went to a lady who completely butchered them. I would have kept trying to grow them but i had a wedding to go to and needed them cleaned up. I was visiting my sister in law who lives near the salon and saw the reviews and figured i would give them a try. I am so glad i did. However she threaded them made them look thicker than i could have imagined them being. Whenever I am back in brooklyn, im coming back here to get my eyebrows done.

Based on the reviews of this place I went in today and had my eyebrows threaded and tinted. Kaya was so sweet and did an amazing job, she exceeded my expectations. I recommend everyone check this place out, it is officially my new go to eyebrow place.

I got my eyebrows threaded once before coming to this Salon and it was terribly painful. I decided to give it a try one more time and I’m so glad I did. Here, I barely felt a thing! Much less painful than even the most painless waxing I’ve had.
My eyebrows came out beautiful, not too thin, which I’m always worried about when trying a new place. Plus the owner is so sweet and it only took about five minutes.
Also, it is run by her and her friend and I alway think it is great to support small businesses with friendly, hard working owners.
SIKA IS THE PLACE TO GO!
