Come here if you want affordable drinks outside on a patio. I used to avoid this place a bit solely because of the service, but it seems that they’ve gotten some new bartenders who have all been lovely, especially the ladies behind the bar on the weekends.

This is a solid neighborhood bar with only the modicum of pretense that they have to put on to be competitive in the area. Translation: This is not a Williamsburg bar try-too-hard, be-too-cool bar. Cocktails are good and reasonably priced. You can bring food in from area bars. The service might be a little slow, but that’s what I’ve generally experienced at relatively crowded bars, wherever they are.

I’ve been twice. First time the service was terribly slow and unattentive, so it’s been almost a year since then that I went back. This time, the apparent owner of the bar was very rude to a man who had stopped to talk with me and my girlfriends. He lost a sale because he got really uppity about his attempting to order a drink from him outside. The place wasn’t busy, and the owner or manager or whatever wasn’t really doing anything. Our new friend didn’t realize he couldn’t order outside, and this guy jumped down his throat for doing it. Then later, when we got cold and all went inside, the four women all got drinks right away, and this guy wasn’t served for at least 20 minutes. Again, it still wasn’t busy, and there were two or three bartenders as well as the owner/manager guy(who was just standing around chatting up clientele). The four of us women looked like white yuppies; our friend was a black man in camo pants with a pair of beats by dre and a hat on his head. So unless these two people had some kind of former history together of which I am unaware, it felt pretty blatantly prejudiced to me. Pretty much killed the atmosphere… what little there was. And the cocktails at Alice’s Arbor were 100x better. I won’t be going back to The Fulton Grand.

Best bar in clinton hill. Garret is one of my all-time favorite bartenders. Cool people, cool vibe… great all-around.

This bar is the greatest, been coming here for years. Great people and awesome drinks. I can’t imagine having any other place to get a drink and hang out. Come on down folks.

I want to like this bar. Close to my home, ample indoor seating, excellent outdoor seating that lets you observe the activity on the Fulton triangle. All the ingredients for perfection. But, every time I go there, I remember why I prefer the good vibes of Glorietta Baldy, Dynaco, Parlor, Black Swan, The Hill. 1. Service: Bartending is hard work, and my expectations are minimal. But even on a slow weekday night, with an excess of staff, ordering a beer seems to take forever. The bartender seems to stare at you with an unfocused glance, avoiding the idea of pouring you a pint. I don’t expect«Cheers” — but why do I always feel unwelcome ordering a drink? C’mon dude 2. Beer: Selection is nice, prices are a little high, but I imagine so is the rent, so I can’t complain. However– I cannot stand that sales tax is NOT included on listed prices. 3 pints at $ 7.00 should be $ 21, $ 4 tip and I’m $ 25 out the door? Nope, you get stuck paying a couple of extra bucks. 3.Crowd: Thankfully it varies. You get chill folks, casual date nights, and the occasional«nouveau riche» d-bags who fled Murray Hill My biggest fear about opening a bar is that it would be Fulton Grand. Everything is set to create a neighborhood destination, a landmark for the casual ClintonHill-BedStuy beer drinker, but instead you get an impersonal place, lacking identity with«meh» service. Every few months I check back in, hoping to see this place hit its stride, but still not there,

I used to love coming to this place, but after the bartender with the tiny man pony and glasses and heart tattoo on the chest started working here, I will never come back here again. The utter lack of respect and general rudeness to all patrons of the bar left everyone with a bad taste in their mouth. Sorry Fulton Grand, you need to choose your bartenders with more care.

I went once and I can’t go back again. A bar like this belongs up on Bedford and N 5th, not in Clinton Hill. Got a table with some friends, and literally were in hysterics/nausea by the B.O. coming off the hip folks next to us. Seriously — it was so bad we almost left completely! Super slow service, obnoxious vibe… it was then that I realized I am old and not cool(plus I enjoy a daily shower. Seriously.) If you want the watering hole for Brooklyn Gentrifiers Inc, or the over-cool, come on down! I admit as a white man I have to confront my own role in the changes in our neighborhood, but this place doesn’t help.

Overall a cool place. The beer selection is good, the ambiance is chill. The only drawback is the location(for me anyway). And the table I sat at was really, disgustingly sticky.

Used to have better bartenders and better prices but the beers are still good and Niko is the best and still there! :) Intimate setting, great way to meet your neighbors! No tvs. No food. Stale pretzels yum! Great for after work, to blow off some steam, meet a date! Patio is amazing in the spring and summer — you can watch the sun set down fulton:)

I have made the voyage here twice and have been more than impressed both times. It contains all the settings of a trendy hipster bar– great beer selection, brooding hipsters, mood lighting, friendly bartenders, some wood, and a congregation of people smoking cigs in the front area. One of the cool features of this bar is that they have a handy flip menu, and on this handy flip menu there is a dedicated page for beer specials! Hazah! So in case you are like me and are always That Guy asking if there are any specials. Never fear guy, now you don’t have to ask. Last time I was here, I was sucking back Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout bottles for 5 bucks, great for nursing mothers and cheapskates like me. The bar looks really cozzy, but there is a larger back room with plenty of space. A friend of a friend of a friend had a bday there and a great time was had by all. I mean this space would be great for a whole bunch of gatherings, dare I say, a grand time will be had by all? Yes.

A great place to spend a Saturday night. Fulton & Grand has the local bar vibe but with some tasty cocktails at decent prices. I wish it was a tiny bit closer to Fort Greene but it’s worth the 20 minute walk. I see that it’s a great place for day-drinking and obviously that is going to the top of my to-do list.

Fulton Grand is the perfect perch for contemplating the meaning of life or exchanging the silliest yo mama jokes. Honestly, life here is more about the latter. I save my heavy contemplation for a bar without: –Nico, the lovely lady pouring the stiffest drinks on Fulton street; –fun fellow patrons that want to know your name; –simple but clean décor; –interesting drink specials that actually taste good.

Maybe this crowd/area/bar isn’t for me. We walked in and the vibe was a bit cold in the sense that I’m used to some conversation, laughing, noise… something when I enter a bar. It was a bit quite and the bar was fairly full, with maybe 10 or so other people inside. It was chill so we got used to that, and the beer on tap was pretty great. We missed the happy hour but the two beers were still pretty affordable and the bartender was fantastic. It’s one of the few bars in this area that we could find, but we’ll keep looking.

Fulton Grand was on my list of bars to try out, now that I’m back in Bed-Stuy. I’ve come here on two different dates and had a nice time on both outings. The bartenders were friendly and the music was loud, but in a fun way. There is plenty of seating, and a secret back room that I didn’t get a chance to explore but saw people heading in and out of(marked by an awesome neon sign that said Candy Store). Crowd is nicely mixed and laid-back. Prices are in check for the area, and the beer selection is vast. There are even a few wines(I’ve been fond of the house red) and the mixed drinks are strong. Bonus-they have a hot toddy for these freezing winter times. A good place to start the night, or to gather a group of friends. Also good for relaxed first dates – plenty of flattering mood lighting and dark corners, if you know what I mean.

Nice chill vibe(on a Sunday afternoon). 2 – 4 solid craft beers on tap and lots of sunlight. Also a selection of board games and outdoor seating. Note: The visible and swift gentrification of this particular block is disconcerting. I hope to see more POC in the bar next trip.

Good neighborhood spot. Cheap drinks during happy hour, great for warm days because of the outdoor area. The bartenders are pretty unfriendly and will ignore customers if their friends are in there. Other than that, I like this place.

Great beer and whiskey selection. Service is always a disappointment though– every time I’ve been here, the bartender of the night is constantly just chatting with his friends instead of making drinks and acknowledging the line forming behind the person waiting to order. 1 star for the drinks menu, 1 star for location, and half a star for the prices(i’m being generous).
