Tim’s Last Minute Moving

These guys were the only movers willing to move me during the NY marathon, and it ended up being a breeze. Tim & his team are quick, efficient, and managed to pack my whole studio into an xl van. I was amazed! From now on I’ll be calling Tim for any moving job I need. I wish I could give them six stars!

My son cleaned out his apt. in Washington Heights and gave me his practically new queen size bedding. It had to be moved to my place in Brooklyn. Two men with a large van, including travel time, did the job in 2.5 hours. They were courteous, followed directions perfectly and took my old bedding to the garage in my building where staff will put it out for collection. I had to cancel an earlier appointment and the rescheduled date was no problem. Suggestion: map out exact travel directions, try to have the move happen in non rush hours and be specific as possible as to your needs. You obviously want to minimize hours needed for the job. You pay a little more for this company but reliability, honesty and efficiency of service are worth a few extra bucks.

Moving is a stressful endeavor. So happy we chose Tim Paul for our move from a one bedroom in Brooklyn to a house in central NJ. They really know what they are doing. Had my doubts that all our stuff (boxes, queen size bed, tv, ping pong table — yes we have one) would fit into their extra large cargo van, but they made it work.
Also — some items needed to be moved out of our new house (old recliners, bed, tv) and they handled that with no problem.
Communication before the move was easy and efficient as well. Note that are some minor charges we weren’t expecting (i.e. mattress cover, payment for travel time back to NYC) but they were an overall drop in the bucket for how easy and less stressful Tim Paul made our moving experience. Really grateful to them.

I found Tim by luck and am so grateful. Tim made my first recent move in 10 years quick and easy, and cheap. He came w/​two guys the first time and moved me from the room I rented in two hours. Then I had him deliver a bed that was gifted to me. They picked up, moved and took it apart and put it together again. It was from ikea. Lots of pieces.
Then a year later he made the next move a relative breeze. I packed boxes and they packed the cargo van. Master consolidator and amazing worker. They took the entire inside frame of a sofa bed out in order to get it out the door. He is a moving machine and professional and efficient. I would’ve tipped twice as much if I could afford it. I’ll call him anytime I need to move a bed, a tv or an apartment full of furniture. Thank you Tim. God bless you.

Tim and his team were great. They showed up on time and moved everything quickly and professionally. I was able to ride in the van with my stuff. When we got to my new apt, they quickly unpacked and placed my big item furniture exactly where I asked. I will use this company again if I have to move.

Tim and his guys were amazing across the board! I’m the worst person to move because I changed my date about five times, but Tim was accommodating and polite. Day of, he showed up at 10am sharp with two guys. The whole thing took about an hour and a half, which is amazing for a move. His rate was very reasonable and I can’t recommend him enough.

Had to move out of a one-​studio apartment in Queens. Not only did Tim do me a favor by having a crew come over at 9am on a Saturday rather than the standard 10am start time, they pulled up just as my son and I had finished backing up the truck into the driveway. Perfect timing! And the two guys — chilling and Gregg — couldn’t have been more nicer, friendly, or efficient. No wasted time. Done in two hours flat despite a very long walk from the elevator to the truck. And chilling knows how to pack a truck. He was very deliberate about that. And nothing moved or broke during the 250 mile trip home to Northern Virginia. If I ever have to move back to NYC, Tim’s Last Minute Moving is who I will call. No need to shop around if you’re looking for a dependable service. Though the price — $ 40/​hour/​person — was very reasonable.

I hired Tim and his movers to help me move a small studio in Bed Stuy to an apartment in Greenpoint. Both apartments were walk-​ups, and Tim’s guys did a great job. While they ran a little late getting to me, they still finished in two hours and everything went really smoothly. All of the guys were very considerate not to break anything, and even helped me get my old box spring into a mattress bag and onto the sidewalk for trash pick up. The cost for the move was considerably lower than other companies I contacted. All in all this was a quick and low-​stress move.

I was a little nervous about hiring a mover from craigslist, but I thought I’ll give it a try. We only needed extra hands, we had rented a Uhaul truck. My first move-​in date was rescheduled and Tim quickly accommodated the new date. Two guys showed on a snowy morning ready to pack the truck. The guys were friendly and the muscle we needed. It took longer than the 2 hrs that I had reserved and the guys made a quick call to Tim and we got an extra hour of help. We couldn’t have done it without them. I would definitely recommend. We gave a deposit via PayPal and the balance in cash + tip on moving day.

Just did my SECOND move with Tim’s! Same great service. I couldn’t believe they were able to fit ALL of my stuff into the van. (2 couches, about 20 bags, 4 tubs of books, a TABLE and chairs, 2 bookcases, and a bunch of other stuff). They arrived ON time (actually a few minutes early), fast service… done in a breeze. Nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged. BEST moving service I’ve ever dealt with. And they’re fair and reasonable. And they’re always so flexible!

I was originally scheduled to move with a different company. However, when I tried to contact them the day before the move, they never answered the phone. i panicked because I live in a very strict co-​op building that requires permission to move in and everything was already set up for me to move my things in that next day. I found Tim’s Last Minute Moving on the internet and called them about 9:30PM. The owner, Tim, answered the phone and was professional and was able to confirm within 15 minutes about coming to do my move the next morning at 9AM. A gentleman named Joe arrived the following morning at 8:50AM and was ready to work. When I woke up and saw that it was raining, I got a bit anxious thinking they would cancel on me. However, I was impressed with the company’s punctuality and the speed of the move. The truck was clean inside and out, which is important. You don’t want your boxes and personal things in a dirty truck! He also had moving pads available to protect my TV, and brought moving tape to tape up loose ends. The mover stayed very professional and didn’t try to get too friendly, Tim even gave me the same rate the other company was going to charge me, and didn’t try to gauge me since I was obviously in a bind. I tipped the mover on top of the flat rate because he deserved it. About an hour after the move, I received a text from the owner asking me if everything was satisfactory. Great follow up and shows the company cares about the customer. Don’t hesitate to call them.
