I tried so hard to make this place work as it is a convenient location, unfortunately it just doesn’t cut it. We have been there more that 5 times now and I hope to never return.
I am not sure which broke the camel’s back, whether when the doctor told my son to stop being a cry baby or whether that they made my 4 yo son fast for 5 hours because they planned to give him laughing gas and didn’t. So basically he fasted for no reason. Not to mention we waited for over an hour to be seen. What is the point of appointments?
The front desk receptionists are a far cry from professional. I must admit the dental assistants/​hygienists are sweet and most helpful.
I absolutely despise Dr. Slepak’s know it all obnoxious attitude. They did not allow me to stay in the same room as my son while they performed the procedure. My son was screaming through the entire process. When they were done, I asked why they did not give him laughing gas after telling me three time prior to the appointment that he would be administered laughing gas and was told you didn’t tell us he needed laughing gas. ABSURD!!! This is absolute BS. The right hand isn’t talking to the left.
Stay clear of this joint.

Very poor customer service! rude and unpleasant. Doctor is probably a great specialist. Heard a lot of good things about him. But Front Desk ladies need to learn some manners and be more knowledgeable.

What a useless place. Receptionist is a snotty Russian that thinks I have all the time in the world to waste. We made an appointment for my kids almost two weeks ago. You’d think that with the insurance on file they’d check to see if our primary dentist was them. We used them last year so I’m not sure why they wouldn’t be. Anyway we stated we would call immediately to have them changed to this dentist to avoid any issues. She said If we wanted to be seen today we’d have to pay out of pocket first. What a joke of a dentist. Over crowded. Not enoug seats for patients and they have zero compassion or care for their customers. Well we walked out and we will NEVER come back here.

Just left the place, waited for 1,5 hours, with nothing done to my child, very rude russian lady told me that the doctor will not see my son, because we came for a 6 month check up, I was trying to explain to her that my son actually is having a toothache and I never told anyone that I came for a check up, instead again she repeated that we will not be seen by a doctor, and said that I have to wait again if I want to see a doctor, leaving me no choice but leave, I took my son and on the way to ER, people working at this place don’t understand what it means for a little child to have a toothache? Will never come back to this office again. Very unprofessional.

Awesome dentist. Went to him all my childhood and still go to him as an adult (I have been going for almost ten years!) His staff contacted my insurance so that I could continue going to him, even though I am not a pediatric patient anymore. He is the only dentist I would go to, and the only dentist who ever understood that I am absolutely terrified of dentists, so he always takes extra care to explain what is happing and why.

Dr Slepak has been treating my 3 boys for a very long time. Always friendly and made them feel comfortable every time. Thanks to him and his staff, they are not afraid to go to a dentist. Every visit has been a pleasure. Thank you Dr. Slepak and staff.

This office is Racist I called to make an appointment the rude Russian lady gave me an appointment a month away, my coworker who is Russian called five minutes later spoke to the rude lady in Russian and got an appointment for her child for the following day!!! RACIST!!!

Dr. Slepak is a wonderful children’s dentist – warm, experienced, and works very fast. My 6-​year-​old son needed a lot of work and I had a lot of trouble trying to find a dentist in Brooklyn who was willing to treat him and would also take insurance. Dr. Slepak made my traumatized kid feel comfortable and finished everything in one visit – though it would have taken three visits anywhere else. He’s very good with kids. I highly recommend.

I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Slepak. He helped to save my daughter’s broken tooth when two other dentists said to just extract it. In a pre-​schooler, losing a back tooth is a big deal, as those adult teeth only come in at around age 12. My daughter is super happy with her new ‘silver’ cap, and despite her fear and distress about the whole situation, she was able to relax and chat with Dr. Slepak throughout the procedure. Several members of his staff took care of us during our visit, and all of them showed kindness and care, to which my daughter responded by being relaxed and curious, rather than scared and unhappy. As a worried mom, I was also taken care of– both Dr. Slepak and his staff spoke to me with patience and made sure I understood what the options were for treatment; in addition to seeing us — new patient!- the very same day, as an emergency.
As we live in a different borough, we have not known Dr. Slepak, but he was highly recommended by both doctors and dentists that we have asked, and we are very happy we found him! He is an excellent dentist and a wonderful person, and we will be sure to make a long trip to his office if we ever have tooth problems again!

If you’re not Russian or Ukrainian or anything close to that they’ll be rude. The nurses speak Russian amongst themselves and make you feel uncomfortable if you don’t speak the language. I’ve been here a couple of times because the work they do is good, just bad customer service. The one nurse that took care of my 5 year old was very nice though, so I went back but each time I come back the attitude and care from the nurses is worse.

Dr. Slepak came highly recommended as an excellent pediatric dentist from a friend who is a general dentist. Now, I can say from personal experience that Dr. Slepak is knowledgeable, honest, attentive, and wouldn’t suggest unnecessary procedures. He’s understanding with respect to the cost and just a very easy person to work with.

Great dentist for me and my children! We’ve been coming to Dr. Slepak for very long time. He is very good with kids and very knowledgeable. I trust Dr. Slepak on my kids without even worrying. He is our family doctor and we are very thankful for that opportunity.
