Great services and friendly staffs. My coffee is so tasty, I am very pleased with it. The atmosphere is so good for relaxing. Highly recommended.

Today was my first time here. I came here in the afternoon, and the baristas were really nice and friendly. The coffee was good as well as my muffin. However, I am giving this place a 3 since the Barista who came in after them is clearly sick, wiping her nose, and coughing into her hands as she is handling the cups and counter items. This is beyond being unsanitary, and a definite health issue for customers.

Great atmosphere. Nice little place to study or have a low key gathering. Can get busy or fill up fast especially during exam times.

They have delicious coffee and a unique, rustic atmosphere. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is because I wish they had more size options available for the«to go» cups. My husband and I are heavy coffee drinkers, and when we ordered lattes to go, they gave us a 12oz cup. Let’s just say, we were disappointed once that nectar of the gods was all gone! Maybe you have to order a specific size if you want a larger cup, but all I saw were 12oz. and didn’t see size options on the menu. The pricing is good and the staff is very friendly. Did I mention the coffee is AMAZING?!

So, I came here again the other night and I’ve found that this place has gotten so much better than I remember it. I ended up ordering a cortado that was made absolutely perfectly. It had just the right amount of milk in it and was exceptional. I love how quickly and attentive they are to their customers. This is aboslutely a perfect spot to catch up with friends. There is plenty of parking out front and it’s such a cozy spot. I wouldn’t’ recommend studying here, if you’re using textbooks. The lighting isn’t bright enough to be able to read without straining. However, it is a great place to be able to type up documents on your computer. Highly recommend this spot. It is definitely one of the best coffee shops in BCS.

Great coffee. Chem X is superlative. Owner keeps it real and runs a tight ship. I leave awesome positive reviews because I hate over powered self absorbed Unilocalers

12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon has all the tables filled, but only has one person per table. Although the staff was friendly, it seems like everyone keeps to themselves while here.

It took us forever to get are drinks. The prices are about Starbucks but they charge you extra for cold drinks which is weird. We ordered 2 chia latte and a sweet tea. The chai tea was very good but it was unmixed so when you drinker it you sucked up a bunch of sugar. The tea had no sugar with little flavor. The employees were pretty friendly and nice. And there were flys everywhere

It’s a shame because the ambiance and work space here is nice. I really want to like this coffee shop, but our coffee took over 20 mins to make and was awful. I’m a big cold brew fan, so I tried their slo bru. The weakest and most watered down iced coffee I have ever had. My girlfriend tried the Chemex and it was also really weak. It wasn’t even the right color. It looked like tea. Just inexcusable. It wasn’t even that crowded.

Great place to study, super quiet and if you’re stressed out for your chemistry midterm the barista with the hat on backwards will cheer you up! Iced chai is the best thing on the menu

My only complaint is that the place was kinda dark. But I guess that’s the norm for coffee shops. It even looked closed from the outside. The Barista guy with the cap on backwards knows a lot and made great coffee. It’s rustic, warm, inviting and comfortable. They have all kinds of coffee and some light sandwiches like chicken salad and Mexican coke and other sodas. 1 coffee and 1 Americano for $ 5 1 outdoor table.

I’m going to settle on 3 stars for Harvest. Unfortunately the coffee quality has dropped to where it’s good but not great, and this is a heavy blow to my heart. No silken mouth-feel from microfoam, though it’s not as bad as a separate mass of large-bubble foam. So I would put it over Starbucks but under Lupa’s Coffee or 1541(both in CS). I did like the flavor of the Candlelight latte… they did a very good job of getting it to just barely taste of molasses, which takes a deft hand, and with the heavy dose of cinnamon it’s a pleasant autumn-y feeling. I’m also still happy they’ve got a slow brew and Chemex, though I’ve never tried either. But I was hoping Harvest would stay the area’s coffee mecca and that apparently wasn’t their focus. See my previous review regarding the food… the menu looks the same as it was a year ago, which isn’t really what I want to see… and the two muffins looked awfully lonely and boring. Thank goodness Patranella’s bakery is just a block or two away to satisfy my cookie/cake cravings. I just don’t see any reason to eat here when I could go to The Village or Fargos or several other fine eating establishments. They’ve improved the seating arrangement so the window bar has seats now, but it’s still not a place to go and relax. I like padded chairs, floor/wall/ceiling materials that dampen sounds, and maybe some line-of-sight barriers so it feels cozy. This environment is closer to run-down industrial or repurposed-diner vibe. The service was better today, but that may just be a function of the fact that there were only a couple of other customers and they were all studiously working on laptops, not ordering food/coffee.

Stopped in on my drive from Austin to Huntsville. AMAZINGCHAILATTE… And I have had a lot of chai in my day. This shop made me feel like I was back in Austin. Milk alternatives available. I will be back! Also the solo drip was calling my name for next time.

Stopped by here on Saturday to get a coffee. It’s a nice looking place, great ambiance and is probably a good study spot. I usually order my coffee or latte with heavy whipping cream, but the barista didn’t seem to understand what it was or whether he had any. It was weird, since I usually have no problem with this at other coffee shops(Starbucks, Sweet Eugenes, etc). I had it with almond milk instead, but it wasn’t really my favorite. Shame, because it looked like a nice spot that I could get my coffee from regularly if I was near downtown Bryan.

After seeing my Unilocal friends Stephanie, Minda and Alex all gave 5 stars(Nice FTR Stephanie) we popped in a few nights ago. Not really much more to say that they haven’t covered. This is to me what coffee shops are supposed to be like. The inside has not been overly remodeled(no one better EVER think of touching the ceiling), the music was nice and it was very relaxing. The staff was fantastic and made us feel welcome. After walking in wearing and Orange Crush T-Shirt I was immediately obligated to pick up a Mexican Orange Crush made with real sugar instead of the gross HFCS. In fact, I think we will go back. Like… Right now. Come by now and I’ll buy ya a cup.

The service is very, very friendly!!! There are, obviously, a limited amount of outlets. My friend and I asked the barista where they were located and she not only pointed them out for us, but also came to inform us when a table near an outlet opened up! When you order food(including drinks„ and drink refills) they bring everything to your table so there’s no real reason to ever get up. The lighting is a bit dim so it might be hard to really hunker down and study here — especially for something pretty grueling like a major test of sorts. But the music is very nice(classical, but not classical classical. I think I heard instrumentals from a few movies and violin versions of some popular pop songs). The décor has that ‘about to fall apart’ rustic sort of look to it — I think the place might actually be falling apart but it doesn’t look dangerous. The place doesn’t have an overwhelming coffee smell which makes my head hurt after prolonged exposure so that’s positive as well. I had the chicken salad sandwich(which comes with a side salad). The sandwich was absolutely perfect. Not too sweet or too salty with a little bit of crunch packed in. The side salad was a little too bitter/sour but better than most.

The staff is always friendly and unpretentious and helpful, and the coffee is the best in B/CS. The food is fresh and excellent quality for the price. Also it has a nice atmosphere — quiet adult music, conversation, and subdued lighting. If you are looking for a good place to chill and talk, this is it.

Harvest is a dream come true, and it’s still relatively a secret, so you can definitely grab a table anytime you come. This place is good for studying and for just hanging, but I definitely love studying here(friendly staff, lots of wall outlets, free reliable wifi). Their lattes here are really good! I’m a huge fan of the Harvest Latte, their take on a vanilla bean latte. It’s cane sugar + vanilla bean flecks, and it’s pretty wonderful. Their chai is really milky and not as spicy as I’d like, so I guess it’s more like sleepy-time, comfort chai, which I’ll take also. Their food is kind of hit or miss. Their chicken pesto is really good, their falafel and asian fusion sandwiches are /okay/(wish the asian fusion pork was marinated, but the flavors are good aside from that!). I’d avoid the chicken salad sandwich though, it’s pretty basic. As far as a comparison to The Village, I’d say that Harvest’s coffee is as good or better, but their food is still a few steps below. As far as a studying atmosphere though, this place is top-notch. Forward my mail here b/c I’m gonna be spending a lot of time here, ha.

I was excited to hear about Harvest! Another great coffee shop in the BCS area! It’s tricky to find since their storefront sign is basically a tiny«H» on their window, but it’s at the corner of N. Main &26th, right in the heart of downtown Bryan. They’ve only been open for a month, and they seem to be doing very well. It definitely rivals The Village(which is literally just a few steps away) in terms of its coffee, sandwiches, and hipstery-ness. Here’s my breakdown: Coffee: I tried the Harvest Latte, which is made with vanilla bean(!) and cane? sugar. It’s very smooth and moderately sweet. I haven’t personally tried coffee from The Village, but people say it is un-freaking-believable. Sandwiches: Harvest takes the cake on this one. The bread is way better(The Village does not heat up their bread) and the sandwiches themselves are more… innovative? Harvest definitely has a smaller selection, but I’m sure they will add more with time. I tried the chicken pesto and sweet potato leek sandwiches — both were of «I could probably make this at home for a third of the price» quality, but we still scarfed them down. Each sandwich comes with a small salad topped with a balsamic vinaigrette. Hipstery-ness: So, Harvest plays music on a RECORDPLAYER. As in vinyl records. You can also leave little notes in the cracks of the walls. I don’t think you can top that level of artsy/indie/hipster-ness. Harvest’s prices are comparable to those of The Village. The vanilla bean in the harvest latte did it for me, though. I could see the little black specks in my coffee!!! I love that shiz.
