Oh my goodness, I’ve done it again! I pounded down an entire pizza, fries, a couple of churros, and a huge cotton candy, all followed by a frosty-cold Icee. Do I want to go on a fast roller coaster like the Silver Bullet… no! Would I like to go flying and spinning in circles on the Surfside Gliders… not a chance! Would it be smart to make a fast drop on the Supreme Scream… that would be foolish! This is where the Sky Cabin comes in. The Sky Cabin is a nice slow ride up to a 180 foot height with a panoramic view of the entire park. One can see for miles and miles in every direction! Being a slower ride, it’s pleasant since it decreases the inertia felt by your poor stomach after that huge meal. I ride the Sky Cabin every time I visit the park with my family. It’s a great ride for young and old alike. Young children don’t get scared because it’s nice and slow, and adults get a chance to rest those tired feet that have been walking for miles all day, all while enjoying a nice view in an air condition controlled cabin. I enjoy riding the Sky Cabin, sometimes for the scenery in the daytime, and sometimes to see the beautiful lights in the park at night. The attendants that have helped us while on this ride are always friendly, courteous, and informative. I also appreciate that, like all other employees at the park, they are focused on the safety of their guests. Overall, this ride is a very safe ride, just like all other rides at the park. Everything about this ride deserves 5 stars, from the overall infrastructure of the ride to the minimal wait time, and the employees are awesome. The only reason, in my opinion, that this ride deserves a full 1-star deduction is due to the windows. I believe the primary reason to go on this ride is for the beautiful view, and unfortunately the quality of this view is degraded due to the blurry and scratched windows. It’s kind of like paying to see a high quality /high definition movie at the theater only to realize that you’ve forgotten your glasses at home. If the management at Knott’s were interested in making a relatively small investment to make a relatively large improvement in the quality of this ride, then replacing all of the windows on this ride would be a wise investment. Visibility through the windows on this ride, replaced or not, could also be improved by an increased frequency of having them thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Overall, the Sky Cabin is an awesome ride. 4 solid stars for me.

Ah, the Sky Cabin to the rescue! After riding a parade of thrilling rides, the Sky Cabin came in the nick of time. It’s a slow ride up, but it’s relaxing, and you do not have to worry about possibly loosing your meal. Anyways, the ride slowly climbs up to 180 feet and turns as it goes up. The vistas are great on a clear day, where you can see the entire park, most of orange county, and all the way to the Catalina Islands off the Pacific Coast if weather permits. The ride is for everyone and provides seating to relax, or you can get up walk around. The employees courteous through out the ride and for once, we did not have to wait very long to get on. The ride was definitely a way to break up the fast pace onslaught of thrill rides.

Skip it! Slow, boring panoramic view of Buena Park. This is just not my thing. The plus is that everyone can go on it.

What can you say about this ride? It is one of the most nostalgic rides in the park. It used to have what was the parachute ride surrounding it. It is an awesome ride it goes up 180 feet which is hi enough on a clear day to see downtown LA and all of Palos Verdes and all of Santa Catalina Island and all of the surrounding mountain ranges.

This is a nice smooth ride that goes up 180 ft and then rotates 360 degrees when it gets to the top, for a complete view of Buena Park and beyond. You can stand up, once the ride begins for a better view Downside is there is poor ventilation and the ride smells. Yucky! But tolerable. Fun for all ages.
