Excellent gym. Clean and friendly. Always in working condition. Lots of machines, weights, bikes. Etc. Great atmosphere. I go mid afternoon, not crowded. Love it here.

The rating is this low because the way management forces the Personal Trainers to bully and manipulate the gym’s patrons to train with them. It’s not the trainers fault as much as it is management above them. The trainers don’t make half of what they charge. It’s the lazy management staff who has little regard for the patrons of the gym and openly hold ‘seminars’ in the lobby area by the front entrance where they tell newly hired trainers how to attach themselves to gym members, find out something about your personal life so they fake friend you into a free training session — even though you don’t want or need to be trained in the first place.
It is the SOCIOPATH school of business… coerce and pound.
For those of us who are great shape, know our way around the gym, this slimy behavior is non-​stop and that’s because management at the gym does not care about the gym patrons. They care about finding ways to lie their way into your wallet. It is your job to pay for their job.
A word to management — less narcissism about yourself. You do a lot less than you’re asking the trainers to do. (If nothing, really.)
If you want to up your revenue, rather than fake-​friending patrons — how about assembling groups of two or three overweight patrons where you socialize and support them into one training session? Getting three people to split the charge would allow you to gently gain one or more of their interest. Or is starting small and building a solid reputation based on performance an alien concept? Must be.
Outside of the lame way management so-​called manages the gym, the facility itself is clean, overstaffed by any gym I’ve ever attended and the patrons are civil… which is more than I can say for the way the trainers are forced by management to shake down and harass the gym’s members.

I signed up for personal training at Crunch with Briana. She is amazing. She has gotten my body to look the best it ever has, even better than when I was in high school and college. Besides just how I look I have gotten stronger and faster. I also feel confident going into the weights section of the gym, which intimidated me before. She also helped me learn the work output I’m capable of. She has gotten me to places I couldn’t have reached on my own.
I would highly recommend her. She puts a lot of work into her clients. And she is always available to help you out or talk you out of the in n out line

Best gym in Burbank. Hands-​down– classes are varied and effective. The equipment is clean and well-​maintained. Friendly staff is great and there’s a minimum number of Bruhs working out which makes Crunch the go-​to place for fitness.

Ive been going to crunch for the past 5 months, and I couldnt have been happier. It is the cleanest gym ever and if you go during the day then it’s like a private gym. They have amazing classes and it’s worth every penny… What I LOVE most about the gym is my trainer Jackie Ryback, she is truly the best trainer I’ve ever worked with. Knowledgable, helpful and she actually gets to know her clients and their bodies… She takes her time explaining everything and she answers all your questions. I seriously wouldnt change her for the world. Love her… she’ll help you reach your goal and you definitely get your moneys worth with her… She makes me love crunch even more than I already do… Thank you Jackie

Every time I think of this gym, I rejoice. They say when you know you know. And it’s true. I knew. All the flabby floppy parts of my physical form sing– they’ve found a spot that will harden them into FORMATION (who else is obsessed with Bey’s new song «don’t hurt…»?? I’ve gotten nothing done today, listened it to it too many times). I’m sorry I digress, back to the gym.
The classes are so unique and stimulating and really target dat ass, dem arms, dem abs, and others. Be prepared to work and you WILL feel it. I love that it’s all streamlined-​sign up for classes from your phone, no sweat. I can’t speak for the cycling classes and the quality of their equipment, but the rest of the classes are great. Elle is a ROCK STAR, her leadership alone is worth the membership, which by the way the money you pay is worth it. It just is. Bite the bullet, pay them dollars, change your body.
Mary Ann was sooooo lovely, as were the membership guys.
I’m glad I switched. Oh yah they have an actors discount. That’s it.

I HATE the fact that the gym closes so early on weekends. 7 p. m??? Really?

Tell your pole dancing instructor to wrap up her poles on time. I get no place to stretch!

I’ve only been there a month so I do not know if it’s just me being picky or if this is the state of things. I mostly take the Spin classes as spin is my favorite exercise. I’ve worked out at Soul Cycle and Flywheel before so maybe I am spoiled, but the bikes at Crunch as old. Very old. I’ve gone to every spin class offered, tried various bikes and the handles on most of them shake which can be very uncomfortable when you are spinning. Also, most of the bikes do not have feet saddles, meaning they are meant for spinning shoes which is fine… if they offered spinning shoes. Spinning shoes lock you in and give you more balance. AT SC and FW they offer the shoes and you return them after class. Here, you have to have your own shoes or apply the foot straps before class which isnt horrible except there is a bucket for foot straps (left and right) that are always mixed up. It’s either two left straps or two right ones. Takes forever to find left/​right straps to fit the bikes. Also, the instructors here, while very nice, I would say only two of them are actually spin instructors. The last class I took the instructor spent most of the time adjusting her playlist (please have the organized before class) and walking around. If you are instructing a class, I expect you to be on that bike 90 percent of the time. You’re suppose to sit the tone, show us the proper form. Also there is a bin full of weights that after a month of classes not one instructor has used during a session. Not one. Lastly, the music is high which I love, but the mic is VERY low and half the time I cannot understand what the instructors are saying. Would also be nice if there were more weekend classes in general.
One last thing, took a Yoga class where the entire time the instructor talked about her upcoming date… in her street clothes. She didn’t even bother to do the poses with us. I think I’ve just convinced myself to quit.

CLEAN and MODERN. I immediately liked this gym for the reasons I just named. The front desk is always friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming and nice.
I usually come during the day so it’s never crowded, I walk into a nice air conditioned place where I can do my workout in peace without people being around me. I have yet to try the classes offered, but they all sound much better than the classes I ever took at 24, definitely looking to try them out soon.
Another bonus, parking is easy and convenient. It is attached to a huge parking structure so you park and walk right over.

This is the best gym I’ve signed up to thus far.
Very clean, and most important it’s never packed and overcrowded.
There’s always great parking, and their machines are in great condition.
However, I specifically came here to leave a review for my trainer Tommy.
In my opinion the best trainer there. If you’re signing up to Crunch and can afford the training sessions then I’d def suggest going with Tommy.
I came to the gym as a New Years resolution so to say, and almost 4 months in I’m still here. That’s thanks to my trainer, and his overall care for getting my butt back into gear.
Again, great gym, great people, and a great trainer to complete the package.

My boyfriend and I had planned for a gym day and because he can’t use the one at my school, we decided on Crunch since he had a membership.
Upon driving to the Burbank location we were told by one of the counter guys that we didn’t have access because the gym that my boyfriend goes to (Crunch in Northridge) is a franchise, and the pass doesn’t work for corporate locations like Burbank and WeHo. We were just about to walk out when the counter guy stopped us, put two guest forms for us to fill out on the counter and told us he’d let us work out for the night. Very much appreciated!!! He went above and beyond for us.
Facilities are clean, machines are awesome and plentiful, lighting is bright, and the place is DAMN spacious. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would come here again.

I have gone to the crunch in North Ridge a few times with my friends but found out the Burbank location was closer to me. I decided to check it out and possibly become a member!
First off, there is free and ample parking which is awesome. When I went in asking about memberships the front desk girl was very friendly and handed me a paper to fill out. I was immediately greeted by maybe the owner? Or manager? Regardless she was very nice and friendly. She assigned Adam to take me on a tour and give me more information.
This location is by far the best I have gone to. I knew right away the packages were probably more expensive, however, when I talked to the North Ridge store about joining Burbank he didn’t mention anything about it being the cooperate store and different than that location. That’s kinda a bummer. But anyways …
All the equipment is really nice and really clean. It’s set up in an organized way and easy to maneuver. The locker room is huge and even has a sauna! The coolest thing though is the fact they have freakin massage therapists to massage your muscles after a work out with a personal trainer. They also have a ton of classes every day that you can take and it’s all included in your membership fee!
Adam was very helpful and spoke to me like a human and not like someone trying to sell me something. At the end of our appointment my heart dropped when I saw the prices were so much more than the other location. I at least thought they may have different options but it is a flat 59.99. I felt so bad like I wasted his time but even after I told him my situation he offered to lower the monthly fee which was so nice! Still, since I just moved to LA and am basically starting over, I decided I couldn’t afford it right now. It’s for sure worth the money though considering all of the perks! I am going to join it once I work my way to that point but for now I’ll have to drive the extra distance to the North Ridge location.
Adam was so sweet he even let me stay to work out that night!

This is an amazing gym. Super clean, tons of equipment and a great atmosphere. If you’re thinking of finally making a change in not just how you look, but in how you feel, I can’t recommend this gym and its training staff enough.
Once I began training with Courtney at Burbank, something clicked and I realized how invaluable an amazing and attentive trainer can be. I’d always been far, far from being even somewhat athletic, and had joined the gym after undergoing a few surgeries just in the hopes of finding something to help lift me out of my slump. Now a year later, I’m capable of doing things I never even thought to aim for. She’s had more faith in my capabilities than I had. Her patience, amazing attitude and know-​how have helped push me to push myself and I can’t sing her praises enough! She truly cares about her clients and always takes time to really check in with us.
A mental switch has definitely gone off in how I treat myself now. I’ve even begun rock-​climbing with my new strength and confidence. I owe my pull-​ups to her! Sign up, I’m telling you!

I gotta look fly… Today, tomorrow, foralways. Not just in the summer & 2 wks later blow up like the world trade.
I’ve been at this gym for a little under a month & I look forward to every single workout. It’s spacious, organized, equipment all in working condition, clean lockers, all sorts of classes, trainers, the list goes on.
I try to come during off-​peak hours so I can concentrate on my workouts with out some broad trying to record herself doing some squats video for her Instagram in shiny ass gold yoga pants.
It’s a bit more than what I’m used to paying but sometimes you gotta come correct… For your own self! I only wish they had longer hours on the weekends.

Wow! This place rocks! HARD! Part of me questioned leaving a 5 STAR review and advising all Burbank residents to flock here and fast, but lets face it — it’s almost January and that’s going to happen to everyplace you can get a good workout in.
My brother and I decided to make the most of our holiday days off, vacation should never, ever, EVER mean missing a workout — I think that’s the best thing about being out of the office is having even more time to workout. We decided to visit this club on a guest pass.
We came in unannounced, on a rainy day around noon to such a warm welcome. I can’t speak highly enough about the staff here. They are SO nice, and not that nice, fake bullshit nice, they seem genuinely happy to be here and very friendly. Kind smiles and an all together welcome that doesn’t seem purely fueled on making a sale or bringing on a new member but surely willing to show you all the reasons why you need to be here.
The part of me that loves this spot would want to keep it a secret the other part of me wants to shake whomever doesn’t have a membership here and ask them why the hell don’t they. I can’t think of any reason for local residents to not join. This place is at your fingertips and although I am not a Burbank resident my parents have been for nearly 20 years I can say this is probably the best you’re going to get around there.
Parking is super easy and plenty of it. The gym has not seemed crowded at all, the times we’ve been. It really feels like a private club. The equipment is awesome! and tons of it!
You do need a lock for their lockers, they aren’t coded (my one tiny complaint). Bliss products for use. Showers, gender specific saunas, huge locker rooms.
Really, this place is just awesome! Mary Ann the General Manager is not only crazy adorable but such a sweetheart, like all staff we’ve encountered here. Jeff, the Personal Training Manager who I had a session with is very through and a pleasure to work with. We took a spin class referred to as RIDE here and had a solid workout. Their class schedule is jam packed with so many fun classes that elsewhere you’d pay roughly $ 15-​$ 30 a class for so definitely keep that in mind when weighing membership costs.
They have towel service, a touch screen menu for group fitness classes, designated stretching tables, filtered water for your hydration and so much more.
If you’re looking for a great place to sweat you’ll REALLY want to check Crunch out. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
I also look forward to working with Crunch for my Corporate Wellness needs.

I’ve been a member here for over 2 years, purchased 2 personal training packages over the course of my membership, and was given permission by these trainers to use the BMI calculator in the trainer drawer. I asked them «are you sure? I can just go through the drawer?» They both said «anytime.»
Today, I went into the drawer as usual to get the BMI calculator. The manager/​trainer sarcastically said I can’t go in the drawer because I’m not a trainer. I guess I’m no longer allowed to use it because I’m not a paying client for personal training?
I’ve also been approached by several trainers for more training sessions after I casually said that I gained 5 lbs. One of them said «maybe you should lay off the carbs and start training again.» Ummmm do you know my diet? Thanks for body shaming me at size 4/​S 130 lbs (I carry a lot of muscle in my legs, muscle takes up less space than fat, so I look thinner than I weigh). I also recovered from 2 eating disorders that took me 10 years to get over, and had to rebuild my body back up from a size 00 104 lbs and 4 years of being sick with digestive disease. I’m fully healed thanks to nutrition, whole food supplements, hormone therapy, fitness, and stretching away stress and back pain from scoliosis — which a trainer also had to make a smart comment about («Esther stretches more than she works out.»)
Another trainer approached me last year, and I said I’m not interested because I have no extra funds. He promised he would give me one free session with no strings attached. I skeptically agreed. After we completed our first session, he (as suspected) tried to sell me a full training package. I told him I can’t. He said why. I said «because I already told you before I agreed to training with you. I can’t afford it.» The topper of all this is that, during our session, he said «it’s refreshing not to train a fat person. There’s some fat people at this gym who don’t even try. But you take your fitness seriously.» Ummm thanks for the backhanded compliment? Why do you have to put someone down to lift another up. I still see him around and ignore him.
It may be time to cancel my membership and look into the YMCA across my work.

I go to this gym often. I really love how it’s not crowded and very clean.
I’m giving this 2 stars because of their classes. I attend the variety of classes here about 2 times a week or so. I usually reserve a spot the day before via the app, which I think is awesome because then I’m more motivated to go to the gym since I reserved my spot, lol. Sometimes I show up to the class and see that I didn’t even need to make a reservation, which is fine with me. Other times, the class is over-​crowded and there’s no physical room to do the exercises efficiently, but the list says there’s plenty of room. They’re not very strict about the capacity of the room, which I think could be a safety hazard.
There has been 2 times where I reserved a bike for spin, signed my name in the appropriate box, and someone is in my bike! I even saw this happening with other people before and sometimes the person who took their bike stays there because class is about to start and there are plenty of other bikes. The instructor would just re-​direct the person who reserved THAT bike to a different bike. Yeah I guess it doesn’t matter which bike you take because the workout will be the same, but then what’s the purpose of reserving a bike? It’s obvious here that some guests don’t sign up and just show up to the class.
For group classes, there have been times where it’s so crowded that there are not enough supplies. Again, when I reserve a spot the day before or sign my name that day — the list is not filled at all, but when I go to the class there’s not enough room or weights are all gone! I would then have to always worry if I’m going to bump into the person next to me.
I do recommend this gym if you don’t need a pool or basketball court — it’s less crowded than other gyms I’ve been to.

Yes. I am a fan! And this gym is as good as it gets. I have been coming to this gym for five months now, and I still love it.
I was hesitant to write a great review and then change my mind, but they proved to be great.
The gym is always clean– always!
Classes are awesome! Zumba is fun and Raul kicks it — every single time. He is AWESOME! All the instructors are great.
The personal trainers are really good too– some better than others. I just feel they push and push– to try to sell you the protein shakes and products, even when you decline and explain that you’re not interested. Honestly that is the only reason I am not giving this gym a five star. I am not sure why they are that persistent.
I appreciate that the bathrooms are super clean — and they provide you with clean towels all the time. The whole place is well-​maintained and well-​managed. Kudos to the team!
