George Izay Park

I love the area, it’s in a great neighborhood; I felt safe up until the last 2 years. As of late, there has been a lot of alcohol, drug activity and gangs that all pose a threat to public safety. Police do their best to patrol but there really needs to be a full time security on site to help track & detour illegal activities. Most of the illegal activity takes place in a secluded area next to the tennis courts just around the corner, from the child’s playground. I don’t want drunk transients, gangs & drugs in this park; if you see something, say something, be sure to call police and report it immediately. It would be nice to be safe in the park and be able to enjoy it again.

Love how well maintained these fields are. Playground is covered and the beautiful tropical parrots are nice

On your mark, get set, Burbank! This park has got it all, including a real F104 Starfighter Jet mounted at the park’s entrance. Inside, you’ll find four softball fields, tennis courts, basketball gym, tournament-​quality horseshoe court, a tiny and secret theatre, and a very cool kids’ playground with that spongy rubber surface all the hip playgrounds have nowadays. Tons of easy and free parking.

Great place to picnic, play tennis or baseball, or simply to relax with a book. The new playground equipment has been a welcome improvement. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because of the restrooms. They could be much cleaner.

I live in Reseda, so you have to trek pretty far to find a park not packed and well run. George Izay is what i remember parks being when i was a kid. Its clean, well attended to and the community uses it.
