Media City Community Credit Union

I am amazed at the negative comments about the MCCCU. They have always treated me nicely and promptly any time I have been there. Furthermore, when I needed a used car loan for a car that was 8 years old at the time, MCCCU was the ONLY place that would give me a car loan for a vehicle that old… and the rate they charged me was reasonable. Not even my regular bank (who has known me for 30 years) would give me a used car loan for an 8 year old car. MCCCU made the process EASY and they treated me like royalty… and I’m no one special. Also, I worked in customer service a lot of years to earn my way through paying for college; and one thing I noticed… that is, when some one is complaining about customer service not being «up to par» in their view… it is usually a cranky customer and not the customer service representative (aka: teller, etc). The people at MCCCU are friendly, helpful and efficient. what more could you want?

I very rarely make comments on this Unilocal thing but I am so upset with the drastic changes going on. First of all? Where is Annette? Where did Dawn come from? She’s an Ogre! I cant stand how sarcastic her manner is. Second, what happened with the pretty redhead? She was amazing and always smiling and so helpful! I wish you trained all your tellers to be like Carmen and that redhead. Carmen and Candy are the only reasons I still come here. I trust them and therefore, I trust your credit union. Know that if they were to also come up missing, that would be the day I close my accounts and place my money in a safe somewhere. I wish I would have gotten the redheads name. Anyhow, bring back your best people and get rid of these little kids you have been hiring.

I have been a member of MCCCU for 33 years. Most marriages don’t last this long. The whole staff is amazing, from the loan department to teller services. I would highly recommend this Credit Union to everyone.

I have been doing business with Jason, Dawn, Candy, Carmen and others for years. They are friendly, professional, and great people. I have always been treated like like family, and given stellar service. MCCU Rocks!

I have been a proud member of MCCCU since 2008 when I moved to Burbank. I have never experienced customer service and banking like I have here. The moment I walk in, I am greeted by Candy, whose smile will make your day, or Carmen who will treat you not only as a valued customer, but also like a good long time friend. Whether you need a favor, have questions, have something specific you need, or you just want to pop in and chat, their professional, loving and good neighbor attitude/​approach makes me want to keep coming back. I have never experienced customer service like what they provide. Unlike the big corporate banks that base your «trust» factor on history they read in a computer, these guys trust you based on who you actually are. Ever get in a financial bind they will be the first to come up with solutions and try to help you out. More and more local places with that old classic feel and touch are going away. These guys are the real deal.

WORST credit union ever!!! I’ve been waiting for months for them to give me copies of my bank statements. They LOST them. How does a credit union lose statements? No one there will return my emails or phone calls. I plan to report them to the state for losing my statements. ABSOLUTE WORST CREDIT UNION EVER.

I have been with Media City Credit union for years and really like the service. So much better than the BofA’s and Chase bank options. Small size and friendly staff which is the best if you want personal service where they actually recognize your face and try to help you.

Customer Service is more than quickly glancing at your screen or peeking at the name on my card and then butchering the pronunciation of my last name… That is an epic fail. Well I can say that I have been a member of MCCCU even before it was Media City. For over 20 years, everytime I come in and it is not often I am cheerfully greeted by Candy who with a warm smile reminds me why I keep coming back. While Media City doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the Chases and BofAs of the world they still provide me with the best customer service. Be it car loan rates or extensions on payments in lean times they have always been there to help. So if you are looking for a solid bank with great people then look no farther

I had the worst experience with this Credit Union. I would say the WORST customer service that I have ever experienced. I went and waited there to meet my loan application person (after numerous unsuccessful phone calls and voice messages left with no response), who happened to be sitting next to me, a short wall apart, and talking on the phone (personal), yawning, stretching from doing nothing, talking again, yawning again, stretching again, and so on and so forth. When I called the last time before I decided to go there, I was told the person was very busy: when I went there, no one seemed to be busy at all. I knew it was not a busy credit union. I had to leave in disappointment after waiting for 30 minutes and being totally ignored when there were no customers in the credit union at all; not a single person, just me and my sister, and when I called and asked for his supervisor after we left, after putting me on hold for good 25 minutes, the same loan processing employee came on the phone and, since I refused to talk to him, after him ignoring me intentionally (for whatever unknown to me reasons he might have had) he transferred me to his supervisor’s voice mail (in fact, I saw the supervisor in the credit union, but he told me she was not available). Very unprofessional and not customer friendly credit union. They have a lot to learn from Logix credit union where they treat every customer individually and with professional and timely manner. Do not do business with this credit union. You are not welcome.

This Credit Union fulfills big time «bank» expectations with a small town, personal feel. I can always stop in or call and get all my questions answered and am always treated like a friend. I highly recommend this Credit Union who is such a supporter of the Burbank community. They offer a great scholarship too-it’s a great place to work with for your family finances and they will grow with you. Truly a wonderful place to handle all of my financial dealings.
