Arrived at 9:20 for a 9:30am appt to see Dr. Lee. The waiting room was chock full, 11 people. I watched as every one of them went in before me, and then the room filled up again and started to empty. At 10:10am, I asked the receptionist how much longer it was going to be, and she looked at me like I’d appeared in the office in a puff of smoke, despite the fact that I’d checked in with her when I arrived, so I’m guessing my chart never got put in the pile. She told me I would be the next person called. Within 10 minutes, two more patients, both of whom had arrived 40 minutes after I had, were called in and I stood up, now having been there an hour and told them I was leaving, and they couldn’t have cared less. Still in pain and now I have to find a new doctor. I understand that doctors overbook and when you have an appointment you rarely get called in at that precise time, but after nearly an hour of sitting in the outer waiting room, totally ignored, and then whenever they were going to deign to admit me entrance, probably sitting another half hour in an exam room waiting… who needs it? And this is right after they open. Can you imagine how bad it would be if you had an afternoon appointment?

Dr Stetson was very warm and caring. He took the time to review my record and ask me multiple questions. After explaining what I was experiencing he left me options to choose from besides surgery.
When a doctor tells you a surgery is simple and quick to recover from, but advises to try a less traumatic option, he’s really caring fully for his patients. And to top it off, the non surgery route helped me recover and become an active weekend warrior again. I’m so thankful with the whole staff.
The office is very modern but simple. Receptionist are willing to answer any questions or passing along info to the doctors. They promptly communicate to confirm appts and relay any information.
The medical assistance and fellows are also kind and take the time to look you in the eye to ask you how the patient is progressing. Hands down 5 star treatment.

Disappointed! If you can wait months for a simple surgery this is the Doctor for you. If you need to get something done in the next month, forget it. For the second time in 6 months I tried to schedule a torn meniscus surgery. I was told this morning they are scheduling surgeries for late February early March. They’re attitude is elitist, not let’s see how we can help you! VERY DISAPOINTED. BTW I really liked Scott Powell personally but he needs to come down to earth with us humans in need!

Dr. STETSON and his staff are wonderful! They repaired my shoulder. Such a good team they have there from the minute you walk in. All the interns are great and Dr Stetson is one sharp dressed, kind and caring doctor. I would recommend him to everyone!

It’s tough finding great doctors in Los Angeles, so I feel compelled to write a review if it will help others. None of my friends or colleagues had recommends for Orthopedic doctors in my area, so I did some research on my own. Stetson Powell had good reviews and I booked an appointment on instinct. I ended up seeing Dr. Christopher Lee and had my second visit today. From both appointments I have only positive feedback. Dr. Lee has never seemed rushed and has taken time to fully explain my injury, explain all the treatment options, and has answered all of my questions. He has also listened to me, the patient, and included my feedback into my treatment. In addition, the office is incredibly proficient, they have early morning appointments, and parking has been super easy to find.

GREAT OFFICE, Honest working doctors office staff that cares and very clean. Also fantastic MRI staff. I have had to have several very comfortable and not as noisy as many. Also Dr Stetson and Dr Lee are great. I will probably need surgery in 2016 and think they will do great job… I hope for my sake… LOL but seriously they know their stuff.

Recently had shoulder arthroscopy performed by Dr. Stetson. They did an excellent job walking me through the process and making sure that I was educated and prepared. I am very happy with the outcome. I’m glad to have had them on my side going through the ordeal the insurance company put me through.

I saw Dr. Lee because I’ve been dealing with knee pain for 7+ weeks now.
First let’s start by talking about the office. Starting from the clean and spacious office to the most friendly and welcoming staff. You walk in and you feel comfortable.
I loved Dr. Lee. He really sat down and took his time with me. I didn’t feel rushed or just another dollar sign. He went over my X-​rays with me, where it could have started, how to fix the problem and how to prevent it. He thoroughly explained everything to make sure I understood him and answered any questions I had.

Quite frankly THEE MOST thorough, friendly, timely experience I’ve ever had with any Dr and their staff!
Dr Stetson is extremely personable and genuinely connects with the patient!
The staff of front desk and interns are equally as kind and professional. The office is clean and inviting!
PLUS! They have an MRI machine in office! Woah!!!
If you’ve ever had an MRI before, you know that half of the pain of an MRI is the waiting game between waiting for the approval from insurance, then waiting for the appointment at the imaging location, then waiting for the results to get back to your doctor… it could take months!
Not here! It’s a one stop shop! I’m so excited! (Even with my shoulder problem!)

Excellent experience so far. I was able to get an emergency same-​day appointment with Dr. Stetson. Since I was being squeezed in, I expected a bit of a wait, but was seen very promptly. My second visit entailed minimal wait as well. Every person I’ve come in contact with has been friendly, caring and professional. I was in serious pain my first visit, and the x-​ray technician felt genuinely bad about putting my arm in a position that was really painful. Dr. Stetson doesn’t spend a ton of time with you, but that didn’t bother me as I thought he listened, was thorough and seems very competent.
Plus, there are lithographs of rock and roll icons on the waiting room wall, including my idol Bruce Springsteen, so I knew i’d come to the right place.

It’s been just over a year since I tore my ACL and almost a year since my surgery. Dr. Powell was up front about my options and always available to answer my questions. The staff were always caring and attentive to my needs (and at times, constant phone calls). Through the surgery and the follow-​up appointments (which ended today), I have felt fully supported and cared for by Dr. Powell and the entire office.
I cannot thank you enough. You and your team are incredible.

I have seen Dr. Stetson off and on since 2007 with approximately a 5 year gap in between my last and current treatment. The office staff is extremely polite and has always been professional. The office is run really well. After treatment, Dr. Stetson’s wonderful nurse, Susie, followed up with me to make sure everything was ok. I appreciate that I have always been able to get an appointment when I needed one and honestly have never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room. Dr. Stetson is on top of his game and I HIGHLY recommend Stetson Powell.

Heard such great things about this place. Came in to meet with Dr. Powell. First off, you kind of feel like a number here. Too many people going in and out. It’s nice they have all these interns to help, but I felt the minute I came in with all the people running around, that they like to get as many in and out as possible. So I was worried that the doctor wouldn’t spend much time with me. Well, I was right. He came in and introduced me to his intern. I told him my problem with my leg and he asked a few questions as the intern made notes. I thought he would have at least taken the time to bend my knee, have me move around to see what kind of motion I was capable of, but they just sent me down the hall for X-​rays. Once that was completed he came back and said I need an MRI. Did that the following week. Had to wait 45 minutes for the doctor to come in with the results. Meanwhile, I was put in the smallest room across from the bathroom and office desk. Stuffy and hot in there and the walls were so dirty and scuffed up. I thought for such a busy place that is obviously making money, they could at least freshen up the paint once in awhile. It’s such a turn off to see dirty walls in a doctors office. Finally the doc showed up and told me what my problem was. Didn’t say much else. I had to ask him what am I suppose to do. My leg was in pain. It was like pulling teeth to get him to explain what I should do and what my options were. He told me surgery. I needed to know how long it would take and the what the recovery process entails. Is it outpatient, etc. etc. Overall he spent about 5 minutes reviewing the MRI and telling me what I should do. I was really expecting Dr. Powell to be a little more through as to what caused my ailment, how it has affected my joints and tissue and the best approach to take or the options needed to help heal or manage the damage and pain. Very disappointed in the lack of this doctor not explaining the diagnosis better to a patient to help them decide whether to do surgery or not. Again, I felt like he was coming in to tell me just have surgery, so he could move on the next number in the waiting room. Cha-​Ching.
Will be finding someone else for a second opinion and hopefully a doctor who is a little more caring.

My wife recently had her ACL repaired. Great place to go for a top notch surgeon. Dr. Powell is a great surgeon and has a great personality about him. Office is really nice, and has lots of photos from many athletes who the doctors have treated over the years. Definitely the place to go for experienced and talented surgeons.
The only downside is the wait times… No matter when we have gone, early or late the wait time is usually an hour before you are seen by the doctor. Be sure to book your time off accordingly.

In addition to working with Dr. Powell, I’ve returned to this practice for a shoulder injury that is being treated by Dr. Lee.
I’ve continued to have stellar experiences at Stetson Powell. Dr. Lee has superior skill and knowledge with great patient communication.
I’ve appreciated his efforts to explain my injury and the possible treatment options. He didn’t suggest doing surgery until I ran the gamut of conservative approaches.
Another thing I appreciated is that Dr. Lee walked me through the surgery with photos and videos. I think seeing this stuff is fascinating, and having the procedure communicated to me so I understand it, gives me peace of mind.

I just «graduated» from my post-​op appointments after completely tearing my ACL in late September. Dr. Powell performed my surgery and, while surgery is not pleasant, Dr. Powell and his office worked with me and made the situation the best it could be. My recovery went really well, Dr. Powell and his staff were knowledgable, kind, had great bedside manners and were empathetic while I was going through this whole ordeal. He explained all of my options, never rushed me out of the room, and listened and seriously answered all of my questions. I have even called the office between appointments and to have questions answered. The front staff can check you in without you having to stand (which is important when your leg is broken) and I’ve had similarly great experiences at the physical therapy place that was recommended to me.
All-​in-​all, I’m glad that I came here to get my surgery done and I couldn’t recommend Dr. Powell enough.

This place is amazing! Everyone in my family has been here. I do want to say that I have seen both Powell and Lee. I did not have a good experience with Dr Powell. I found him uncaring and arrogant. This review is for Dr Lee and the office in general. I absolutely love Dr Lee. He is not only a genius but extremely compassionate. He really cares about helping you in the long term. He doesn’t just put a «band aid» on the problem and hope it goes away. He works really hard to make sure you get better in the long term. I could not be more pleased with Dr Lee. And the office staff has always been kind and I have not had to wait very long. Bonus — they have an X-​ray and MRI machine in the Burbank office!

Pretty knowledgable doctor (Stetson) and super nice staff who aren’t like the average cold mean nurses.
The place is always kinda busy but somehow they got me a next day appointment and have always given great care that I do trust. I’m not a huge fan of doctors and this place definitely doesn’t creep me out.

Front office service:
I called this office twice to confirm prices as I am a cash patient. My school insurance just expired. I was told MRI would be included in the 300 dollars (granted I have no clue how much an MRI costs-​first MRI in my life and this is what I was told). I waited for a week for my appointment only to be severely disappointed to find out it wasn’t but in fact X-​rays that were included int that package. I must have told the person (leaving out name) TWICE I already got an X-​ray and I was interested in an MRI which she then confirmed TWICE that the MRI was included. On a side note: I always get people’s names and confirm prices two to three times so this is not my misunderstanding by any means. They also like you to print out paperwork ahead of time and fill it out which I gladly did beforehand.
What an absolute waste of my time! I don’t like when my time is wasted… poor customer service I can deal with, but don’t waste my time. In any case, didn’t make a big deal, asked for my papers back and reviewing as we speak…
I don’t want to be rude but the girl picking up the phones doesn’t seem to be very competent. In fact, I had to correct her when she was confirming my appointment time. Also, when I tried to set up my appointment prior to my insurance expiring a few weeks back, she asked me to call my insurance to see if they were in my network. When I called the insurance, the person who assisted me commented on that and said isn’t that her job? (I was thinking the same thing!) In any case, I’m currently studying for boards and scheduled for my job in July in which I will have insurance, and as you can imagine this won’t be my first choice.
First impression:
I walked in at the same time as an older lady (older lady mentioned she was having a lot of hip pain and the girl in the front just handed her the paperwork without any acknowledgement to what she just said). Ok… try to ACT like you care… show some empathy???
In any case, I obviously can’t speak much of the doctors as I never saw one which is a shame and lastly, I just noticed every bad review on here is really geared towards their front office… that kind of says something, no?

My friend knows how much I love soccer. And he told me he knew the Dr. that works with the USWNT (insert girlish squeals here). That was the gist of that conversation.
Fast forward a few months and I actually needed a Dr.
I was training for my second 10k and I was having such horrible knee pain, I could not get past one mile, which was a mystery to me because I play soccer ever weekend no pain, and had been running fine the months before.
So I contacted my friend and this is the place he was talking about. I saw Dr. Lee. Originally I was apprehensive because I saw he was an orthopedic surgeon and surgeon’s are generally eager to get you under the knife. But he put me at ease and said surgery is a last resort and would not be considered in my case (phew!).
Dr. Lee is a young doctor who loves what he does. He related to me as a runner. He runs and he knew how frustrating it was to not be able to run, which I appreciated.
I had X-​rays taken and then was ordered to take an MRI. He sent me to get an MRI somewhere close to where I lived and same for my physical therapy, which again, I appreciated that he cared this process was convenient for me.
He takes time with you, does not rush you, listens to your questions and answers them patiently.
Overall I had a great experience here.
