I am a long time BMW owner and have had my share of repair horror stories,
so finding High-​Tech Auto is a Godsend, George is very transparent, prices are very reasonable and above all he is honest! — traits that are not found in many auto repair shops on the Peninsula. Many BMW repair shops claim to be able to read and reset the cars computer, the truth is they cannot — this can lead to a bigger issue than the original problem but George has the proper tools and software… that is a huge advantage. I would encourage anyone who needs auto repair to go to High-​Tech Auto Service.

Excellent mechanic! I took my BMW to George to check out an issue and he was able to pinpoint exactly what was going on after test driving. I cannot stress enough on how happy I am with his services. George at high tech is honestly the ONE AND ONLY Mechanic I trust working on any of my cars. He knows exactly what he’s doing and how he’s doing it. He doesn’t go back and forth and bs you on you do and don’t need. He’s straight to the point and he fixes the problem right the 1^st time. I’ve been going to him for over 10 years and never had 1 issue. Also his prices are MORE THAN REASONABLE. don’t waste your time going to another mechanic that’s going to make your life miserable and mess up your car.

George really does stand behind his work! I had George replace a failed power steering pump on my Porsche 996 late last summer and he had taken on a challenging task. Not only had the pump failed, but the lower p. s. fluid reservoir had melted and debris was in the lines. It took a bit to fully diagnose the issue and deal with it. The car has performed flawlessly since the repair, but a slow drip of p. s. fluid began after a while. I recently brought this to George’s attention and we scheduled a day to look at the new leak. I arrived at High-​Tech Auto and worked, mostly observed, with George as we dug down to the source of the leak and replaced the lower power steering reservoir unit and put the car back together. I learned quite a bit more about my car in the process. There was no charge for the part or work and I am happy to report that my car is now drip-​free! Thank you George K.

George is trust worthy and transparent about the work that needs to be done. He walked me through the diagnostics and showed me the error codes, and even suggested an alternative fix for an expensive part. He was also responsive over text and even over the holiday weekend when I had an urgent question/​request. Highly recommend.

After my extended warranty expired on my BMW a couple of years ago, I was on the hunt for a great independent mechanic who specialized in servicing BMWs. I have been to a couple of independent mechanics during the past couple of years, but I finally found my «go-​to» guy! This week was my 2^nd visit to George (I had my rear brake pads and sensors replaced), and I will definitely be going back to him from here forward. George is an expert in his profession, and in his knowledge and servicing of BMWs. He is passionate about his work, open, honest, accommodating, and reasonable in his pricing. He also takes the time to explain the details of his servicing if you’re interested in grasping an understanding of the scope of work performed. And the icing on the cake, is that George is a genuinely nice guy! Thank you, George, for your amazing customer service… see you at my next service maintenance interval!

He seemed like a nice guy, but I don’t think he knows what he’s doing. He charges quite a bit, $ 100 per hour. The problem is that he is constantly being distracted or interrupted by people coming in asking for his service. So what should be a one hour job turns out to be a 5 hour job and you pay $ 400 more.
I brought my car in have my fuel pump fixed. I paid $ 1000 to have it fixed. It broke again just a few months later.
I brought it back, and he seemed really annoyed that I came back. He told me that it wasn’t covered by warranty because I must have driven over something to break it. I ended up forking more money to get it fixed. And guess what? It’s broken again.
Not going back to get gouged again.

This guy is the definition of bait and switch. I came to him because of the great reviews on Unilocal.
The first time I came in, he quoted me for work to be done (in this case it was replacing the rear brakes). When I came back, he told me he spent an extra hour on them because they were hard to get off. I ended up paying an extra $ 150 for the service. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of the great reviews here.
I came back to him because he was a nice guy, this time to get my axel replaced (car was vibrating at certain speeds). He gave me the option of going with an off market brand, which I asked him — «will it make a difference?» — he said no. I went with the off market — the car ended up having other vibration problems, which he claimed was unrelated to the job done. I took my car to get aligned, and the guy there said that it was because of the off market axel. Took it back to George and he said he would replace with factory items instead and wouldn’t charge me the difference. Then when I came to pick up the car, he said he was charging me because he gave me the option of going w/​the manufacturer up front. Rather than fighting him, I just paid it and vowed to never return to him.
There are 2 direct examples of him saying one thing on the phone and then sneaking things into the bill. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY DESPITE WHAT THE Unilocal REVIEWS SAY.

Genuinely great person with great knowledge and attention to detail. I will be coming back for future repairs and maintenance.

Awesome to work with George. He is superman in the european auto service area. I brought in my porsche with an unusual case and he made sure my car was perfect when he was done with it. Very attentive to details. I would recommend him to all my friends.

I saw the reviews so I called for an appointment and George was able to get me in that day for an oil change and service. Reasonable price for all the work he performed, unlike the dealership. No high pressure to change the air filter or any add ons. I’ll be bringing all my vehicles here for service.

George was very fast and very fair when I needed my wheel replaced on my BMW. I will go to him again for sure!

Trustworthy. Knowledgeable. Customer service. George is the man. He is meticulous with his work, extremely experienced and he will make sure you leave completely satisfied. The list of cars that I have seen in his shop include frequent Ferraris, Maseratis and a long list of German and European cars. He knows what he’s doing and you will be taken care of.

Ladies, George is your mechanic. He’s honest, does thorough work, and is reasonably priced. I didn’t know he mostly worked on German cars but he was completely willing to special order parts for my Japanese car. I left the car with him for about an hour while I shopped in all the great stores on Burlingame Ave. And when I came back he took the car around the block to make sure everything was in order. He had quoted me a certain price over the phone and stuck to the quoted price. A thousand times better than those chain repair shops.
The garage can be a little hard to find, as it’s in an alley right before the train station. You can turn right at the end of Burlingame Ave, into a public parking lot then turn left into the alley.

George is professional and honest. One of the best car mechanics that I have met in years with significant experience in German and European cars. I highly recommend him him for complicated and difficult jobs.

What a fantastic experience. I just dropped by High-​Tech Automotive Service and worked with George for the first time. Not only is he incredibly friendly and honest, but he is an expert and craftsman who knows how to take care of your car.
WIthin 20 minutes of me pulling up into his garage, he was able to quickly diagnose the issue with my car and was able to fix it within 10 minutes.

I came to George with a squeaking issue for my 335i. I was about to purchase a full set of brakes. Within 10 minutes he put it up on the lift, showed me the brake pad had some debris. So he cleaned that and the rotor. Put the wheel back on and the noise was gone!
He told me it still had 8k miles left.
Additionally, there was a notification error. He replaced the light bulb and found a vacuum leak. Fixed all this within an hour.
He is definitely knowledgeable with the cars. Very friendly and goes above and beyond to make the customer happy. I will definitely come back to George for more work.
