P&P Towing

Dishonest business.
I called for a tow quote. The agent refused and insisted I tell her how much I’m willing to pay. I got the distinct impression that she was trying to take advantage of me.

I got stuck in Oakland the driver got here very fast was friendly and professional great job quick highly recommended we use them again even give me a ride back home right job two thumbs up

I called because my car broke down and I didn’t know what was going on with it. The dispatcher worked it out with me and sent me a fully loaded truck and the guy took care of me and got me home safe and fast good job guys

This business is not honest and not what it appears to be. Do NOT use it, be warned. I had a dead battery and called them. They showed up an hour late and then overcharged m3 $ 200 over their quote. Later, I called 3 Toyota dealers and they all charged $ 2 – 300 less for battery and installation. So I was upset, to say the least. Since I live near their address, I went to the business to discuss the situation. I went to Potrero Performance Auto at 579 Portrero Ave, just as pictured in their listing. The owner there, Sam Luong, told me they do not have a towing service there and he does not know why they are using his company’s name, address and picture. I called «PPA» back and they said they do not have an address, just a call center. So there is something very unsavory going on here. Needless to say, all they would tell me is they are an «emergency service» and so it is going to cost more and that it was «just an esitmate» on the phone. They refused to reduce the charges at all. I’m embarrassed to say how much I paid for a battery — just don’t make the same mistake!

Whenever tow services are needed– it’s never a good day. But when they overcharge you for services– it adds insult to injury. Such was the case with me.
I foolishly left the small interior light on in my car and when I next went to use it, the battery was dead.
I called this company and was quoted a price of $ 84-​$ 134 ($ 49 for the jump and $ 35-​$ 85 for service fees.)
When I inquired about what would require $ 35 vs. $ 85 I was told that some batteries are old and require more time to get jumped.
Knowing my car is only two years old, I didn’t think much of it. I needed a jump!
I was told someone would be to me in 15 minutes… that ended up being 45 minutes.
When he arrived he opened the hood, put some cables on the battery and I started my car. That’s it… he was in and out in under 15 minutes. When he gave me the bill, I was surprised to see that he charged me OVER the maximum quoted!
When I asked him why he replied that it was because he needed to bring the charger into my garage. This charger is a small portable device and he needed to walk about 20 feet with it.
Completely bogus.

AAA dropped the ball and had me waiting for 5 hours. These guys came to the rescue and saved my day. Great service really friendly guy was my driver.

Do not call these people. They misrepresent their charges. They quoted me $ 49 plus a «mileage charge». They charged me $ 138 for towing it less than 1 mile. When I objected, they had already towed it and just said tot bad. I was stuck then.

I can only speak for the towing services. DO NOT USE this service! I was ripped off and charged for services without being told what the price would be prior to the work being done.
I needed to get my car from San Francisco to the dealer in Colma.
I was quoted one price on the phone and I agreed to use their services. Right before the tow guy came, the tow guy called me back to confirm a different quote. I told him that I was quoted something different earlier, he stated that there was no way that I had been given that quote and that I was mistaken. It was a $ 70 difference.
I was trying to get to the dealer before the service and parts department closed and felt that I really had no choice but to use them. Once there, after buying the necessary parts that I needed. He agreed to change my spare tire but didn’t tell me that he would charge me or how much it would cost. He later charged me $ 45.00 to change the spare. (I would have asked the service department to change it for me, had I known the price beforehand).
I also felt that I was taken advantage of because I am a woman and in a bind. I would never do business with them again.

Do NOT under ANY circumstances use this company. I was quoted $ 100 for battery replacement of my Honda Civic (Batteries retail for less than $ 80, I thought they would get a warehouse deal). Triple A in the past was $ 120 for the service. Two hours later, I have a new battery and a bill for $ 285!!! When I balked at paying the driver tried to get the dispatch to send the quote call (clearly an issue in the past, as that was his quick instinct). The driver then got extremely aggressive, to the point where I felt threatened as a single woman alone in underground car parking. I paid him so he would leave, and called dispatch terrified and in tears. They told me no manager was available, and that they couldn’t help me, and hung up on me.
