What a rip off. They towed my husband. Once they had the vehicle on the truck, they told him it was going to be $ 170 in cash to tow it four miles or they would impound it and then there would be impound fees on top of that. They took advantage of him because he was stranded on the side of the road. They are dishonest and unethical.

If you are looking for an honest, competent, and fair automobile shop this is it. It does not have a big fancy waiting room with automatic coffee machines — but you can count on them for just about anything to do with car or truck service.
I started doing business with Ned, Hugh, Dave, and more recently Matt more than 30 years ago. They have serviced all my cars, old and new, including early 70s model Ford Galaxy 500, Toyota Celica and Supra, Volkswagen Golf, Turbo SAAB, Toyota Siena, Honda Fit, not to mention my antique 1967 Lotus Élan. Without fail they manage to resolve the problem for a fair price. When a repair is likely to cost more than the car is worth they are direct with their advice — something I find refreshing.
If you want someone wearing a tie and showing false deference go somewhere else. If you are looking for skilled, trustworthy mechanics this is the place for you.

I am truly puzzled by the bad reviews and personal attacks.
Owner Hugh and technician Matt have been taking care of our cars for years. They have been doing a great job: from replacing a catalytic converter to burning off some ultra-​sticky bumper stickers.
Our cars run better than ever. I also find that Both Matt and Hugh are invariably polite, thoughtful, extraordinarily open about costs and options.
Both the Acura and the Honda have seen well over 100,000 miles. I feel Hugh and Matt take a lot of pride in the the safety and performance of these vehicles. I trust them and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Update. took my car to Mercedes today and they took the receipt from the «work» they did. I now have pictures to support the work he DID NOT DO and things he said he replaced that are still original parts. See you in court Hugh. you slimy liar.
