We went this past Saturday evening and had the worst meal in our life. Our Prime Rib roast beef sandwich was cold, the Prime Rib beef was tasteless and the bread was stale. The Fry’s were overcooked and over salted. I would never go back again. If you are in the area and need a place to eat stay away from this Marmalade Café.

We went to have breakfast this morning. I try to come this restaurant into the front not look like go to restaurant like some of salon or aroma massage. So we sit and order the food the waitress so nice. But some slow I order French toast and my wife order chicken spinach and mushroom omelet. Wait for a while the food come look so yummy but the importance thing French toast abit hard have some fruit on top and I eat only 1 piece we try to put some syrup for improved taste But still can’t eat. And the omelet was hard too. Color brown chicken is hard can’t eat. Very disappointed for the breakfast food.

We’ve met our friends from the West Valley here several times, mostly at lunch time. On the weekends, we’re able to order from their breakfast /brunch menu. That’s hit the spot after being up early to attend our grandson’s soccer games. When possible, we prefer to sit outside with the streams and fountains opposite the entrance. It’s a beautiful setting with so much to see, including the turtles massing on the rocks. Portions are plentiful, and normally flavorful. Service can be a bit hit or miss, but overall, we’ve had mostly good experiences. Solid choice, which is popular with both Calabasas locals and those passing through like us. You might even spot a celebrity or two.

I have to say that After having really lousy service the last 6 or so times that I have been here, this was the last chance this restaurant had with me. Well, I am glad I gave it 1more try. The food is always consistently good so I have no complaints there. And, tonight the service was fantastic! Our server(the receipt says Jonathan but I am not sure) was great. Attentive, but not smothering. He was always right there when I needed a refill on iced tea. Very pleasant too. And there is a new general manager who stopped by several times to check if everything was fine. I think her name was Stacey. This put great service over the top. If this is an indication of the service now. I have no qualms about coming back again and again. Well done!

A girlfriend and I had dinner on a Wednesday night. A mid-week treat. The server greeted us with friendly warmth. My girlfriend and I ordered two different Chardonnays. The waitress informed us it was«Wine Down Wednesday» and we should agree on one brand because all bottles were HALFOFF! No brainer! We each started with a soup, only $ 4.99 when you add to your entrée. Delicious homemade, great flavor. We shared a Tuna TarTar appetizer, so fresh! And last I had the Turkey Meatloaf, probably the best I’ve had, and she had the Grilled Salmon.LOVED. We enjoyed our entire experience from great food, the hostesses, the polite food runners and busboys, the timing of our service, the managers who checked on us twice… seems like everyone here loves their jobs and that made us feel very comfortable. We might have to make Wine Down Wednesdays at Marmalade a ritual!

I’ve always liked Marmalade Café they have really fresh and healthy food… Met a friend here for brunch… I had the Italian scramble with egg whites, tortillas and homestyle potatoes with organic ketchup and it was very very good… Yummy and filling… My friend had an egg white frittata with veggies and that looked really good too! They also have awesome fish tacos as well for lunch.

Everyone was nice and the restaurant is very relaxing. We had great good and the spiced pear vodka mojito was amazing! They would have had 5 stars if the grilled cheese we order had come with the tomato and bacon. Otherwise a great experience.

Went to Marmalade for the first time on a date night with the wife. We were seated immediately and the service was top notch. We had Catherine as our waitress for the evening and Daniel, the manager stopped by a few times to assure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were fantastic– we ordered Titos Mules, soup, turkey burger, grilled chicken dish and apple cobbler for dessert. Everything was delicious and we look forward to returning. Not often do you find a restaurant with phenomenal service and great tasting food. We will definitely return.

Food is good, service is great outside is my favorite because kids can play in grass area and I can watch them. The waitress Sarah who’s pregnant was a big help in getting us stuff for kids to do also. Our family will be back! :j

If you’re looking for a breakfast place in a swanky area and hoping for a glimpse of a Kardashian, Marmalade is a safe bet. They do seem to be understaffed… there were plenty of empty tables on a weekend morning, but my small party and several others waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Food-wise, this is an expensive breakfast. I only ordered a coffee, toast, and potatoes, which came out to about $ 15. I would have tried some of the more unique breakfast items, but alas, I had a movie to catch next door. Service was very quick though; food came out in less than five minutes. It was a little difficult to flag down our server for refills and the check, but it seems like a hopping place for bigger parties. If you really want a cheap but filling breakfast, you could probably go elsewhere and pay half of what you pay at Marmalade.

Sunday brunch, café wasn’t too busy. The food was incredibly tasty,(I suggest the portobello Benedict and their house potatoes). Food was A-OK.(latte wasn’t too strong, a bit watery). As for service goes: our server, honestly don’t remember his name, didn’t have the best attitude. No smiles and very grumpy. We asked him for a bread basket because we were extremely hungry and needed something to munch on before our food arrived, and he really didn’t like that. We had to ask him quite a few times, until he brought us three rolls(we were three people). So then we decided to ask another server walking by, and he smiled and brought back a whole basket full, THANKYOU. I’ll give this place another shot because their food was good. Hopefully, the service will be better next time.

Beautiful décor & setting. Service was very nice, our server checked on us throughout the entire time. Food– it was just okay. Eggs Benedict wasn’t runny. It was like hard boiled egg on top. Not my taste but I’m sure others would’ve liked it. Tomato bisque soup was good, but my fave was their potatoes.

I believe it was my first time going here which is kind of a surprise. They have some great items on the menu with a little bit of everything. I had a passion fruit iced tea, I tried their Tuscan white bean and kale soup, and also ordered the Shelton Farms Turkey Meatloaf. The soup was really good, I liked the crunch of the pumpkin seeds in there. I devoured the meatloaf dish as well which was served with Yukon mashed potatoes and great beans with almonds. There was a sun-dried tomato gravy on the meatloaf which was unique in its own right. My friend ordered a half portion of the BBQ chicken salad but found the BBQ sauce too sweet for her taste(I thought it was fine). She thought there was little of the mixed lettuce as well but who knows. Service was good and friendly.

Located in the heart of Calabassas in the commons. If you are a person who enjoys great breakfast yo must give Marmalade a try. If you are a person who is a vegetarian I highly recommend the spinach egg Benedict that was so good. They have excellent pancakes and french toast. You will love the menu here/ They have excellent service here from the minute you walk to the mean you leave. I love the fact the managers walks around ans ask people if everything is okay. That shows me they want their customers to be happy. If you love cookies you are in for a real treat. You have plenty of private lot parking. If you love cookies you are in for a real treat. No questions this place gets busy. One of the nicest patios for any restaurant around.

This place is pretty expensive unless you split with someone, which I would recommend since the portions are pretty big. I do like the location, but maybe that’s what also raised the prices. I got the veggie burger with a side salad. It was no different than any other veggie burger I’ve had… just pricier. The food also came out pretty slow, so make sure you’re not on a time crunch if you eat here. The one simple thing I really liked was… the bread! So delicious :) Probably won’t be back for lunch or dinner, but maybe breakfast. Some items had me wondering!

Located in the Calabasas Commons with a great outdoor patio. We went for Breakfast on a busy Sunday morning, the hostess says 20 – 30 minutes. No problem, we wait and after some time we see people who have just arrived being seated before people waiting a while with us! I ask the hostess about this and see my name wiped off the list! What? She can’t explain and another upset waiting customer makes a complaint about the same problem. She quickly found us tables but never would have if I had not checked in with her! Management here really should have staff that know how to run a hostess desk! The breakfast was great or the stars would have fallen! Our server was attentive and friendly. Always love the Gilson’s scramble! Like the new dishes of jelly instead if packets. They have the best bacon here! Delicious Mimosa’s are always good! Always enjoy the mushroom soup here too! Hope they can train the staff better!

2 stars for location and well that’s about it. Sorry to say the food wasn’t great, the service was a bit slow, it’s pricey and it was packed as Friday night should be. I guess I was more in the mood for quiet and good food that night. I had the mushroom soup that was so sappy and tasteless. It was like the texture of a lentil soup. No amount of salt and pepper saved it. Next! I had the fish entrée I can’t even remember what it was as I was trying to forget it’s blandness from my taste bud memories. I mean is this place heart healthy that they add no flavor to any of their food??? Ugh I must say its location is superb! So keep walking and try the other restaurants in this area. You can thank me later for not coming here. You’re welcome!

OK, Marmalade Café redeemed themselves to me. On my previous review, their kids chicken tenders were getting smaller and smaller. It happened twice within a 2 month timeframe, so I told myself that I will come here one more time and if I get the extra-extra small chicken tenders again, then I’m done with Marmalade Café. We came here last weekend and we ordered the following: 3 chicken tenders plate with French fries($ 8) — The size of the chicken was decent this time on all three plates. Turkey Hash($ 13) — It was good, this is probably my husbands favorite dish. Marmalade Breakfast($ 12) — it had eggs, potatoes and a ham steak. Good portion. We’ll be going back to Marmalade very soon.

This place is hit or miss. I went here for lunch with a co-worker earlier in June when I was in town and ordered the«half» portion of the Garlic Shrimp Linguine. It was so delicious and the shrimp were huge! I came back to town this week and decided to order the«full» portion of this dish and got it «to-go». When I got back to my hotel room I was so disappointed to find three and a half tiny pieces of shrimp. What a bummer :(
