Miracle Method Surface Restoration specializes in restoration of old, out-​dated, or hard-​to-​clean fixtures in the bathroom and kitchen. This includes tubs, sinks, showers, and counter tops that are either the wrong color, are damaged due to wear, or are difficult to clean because of lost luster. Miracle Method can also repair chips and cracks and specializes in restoring antique fixtures.

Miracle Method’s process is unique in that its proprietary bonding agent, called MM4, fuses the new finish to the existing surface, which will last for many years, even decades, to come.

History

Established in 1979.

Miracle Method has been refinishing now for over 30 years and has used the same process since then. That is why we know that the new finish we spray on will last for so many years to come, since our process hasbeen tested over time.

Miracle Method of Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties is owned by Dale and Janie Burch. They bought the francise in 1991 and have been in the same location in Downtown Campbell ever since. Their 3 daughters have been helping with the business ever since they were very little and still work in the office managing the business.

The 3 technicians who perform the refinishing have all been working for Miracle Method for many years as well. They take great pride in their work, which is clearly shown in the results.

I bought this franchise with my wife and daughters in 1991. Prior to buying the franchise, I was inspired by the idea of refinishing when I would see workmen restore old, damaged tubs to like-​new condition in a very short amount of time.

After over 21 years of refinishing experience, my wife, daughters, and I have become highly skilled in the refinishing industry. We all work in the office and are happy to give free estimates over the phone as well as answer any questions you may have.

We had our tub refinished 6 months ago and it looks fantastic! There was a concern recently that the cast iron might be showing through so we called the office to express our concerns. Janie made a trip out the next day with some products to remove build up and it seems to have been the problem. She also gave us some tips to keep the tub looking new. We will keep our fingers crossed that the tub continues to look great for many years!

Showed up on time. Did a very good job that was completed on time and to my satisfaction. Clean up was thorough. The tub looks like it is brand new now. My, what a difference it’s made to the appearance of the bathroom. And I get to keep my old fashioned cast iron tub for less than $ 700 instead of getting a new one for $ 3000. I should have done the restoration sooner.

DO NOT GET YOUR KITCHEN SINK DONE!
It will totally peel, even if you have one of those plastic grates «to protect» it.
Lasts less than 6 months and they will not guarantee it or have more than a 1 yr warrantee. They know it won’t last on a kitchen sink — it is terrible.
I have had it now for over 2 yrs and the bathtub is now peeling too.
I have never used bleach or anything abrasive or those daily cleaning sprays, but it doesn’t matter, it’s still peeling.

I recently had my bathtub refinished and had to write a review on the service. I believe it was Matt that did my tub and from beginning to end he was very professional. He seemed knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. The bathroom was masked and taped to protect the other areas from the restoration process. The next day he told me it would take about 3 hours to finish up. Working the night shift I stayed up as long as i could and told him i would sleep for an hour or so. I was so tired i forgot to set an alarm and woke up about 230 even though he said he should be done by 1. I got up and checked to see if he was still here. To my surprise everything was done. The bathroom was super clean with not a trace that he was there and he even locked the door when he left. Highly recommended.

Just had our bathtub redone by Miracle Method for the 3rd time in 40 years. Each time it was done it looked great, but this time it looks like it is brand new. Matt did the work and he was outstanding in all ways. He was friendly, professional, cleaned up the mess that comes with the process and the tub looks amazing. He made sure to point out the care instructions which I never knew about before so t, his finish should even longer. Thank you Matt!

We have used Miracle Method many times for tub, shower, and sink refinishing projects. Each time, our experience both in dealing with the office staff and the service technicians, has been professional, and the jobs have turned out nicely.
Miracle method goes the extra mile to ensure the color match is spot-​on, and that the projects stay on schedule. They are a reliable company with excellent customer service and many proficient technicians on staff. They also provide a warranty with instructions for the care and maintenance of treated areas that will extend the life of the surface.

I would highly recommend this company. I have a porcelain over cast iron kitchen sink that must have been hit with an iron skillet causing a one inch wide by six inch long section of porcelain to break off. My plumber mentioned Miracle Method as the only other alternative was to replace my sink which would require tearing out my granite counter tops. I called Miracle Method the next day which was Tuesday and they came out Wednesday and repaired my sink. Jorge did an excellent job. It took a little over an hour and then I needed to wait 24 hours before I could use my sink again. You can’t tell there was a repair at all. I sent my friends before and after photos and they couldn’t believe how well it turned out. Thank you for doing such a great job.

Very good customer service, prompt scheduling of the job and the job turned out really nice. I can not comment on the warranty as I just had the tub refinished a few months ago. You need to be aware that if you do this, you can not put any type of mat or non-​slip material inside the tub as it can damage the finish. I rent the unit to a mom and small child so I had the «gritty» texture put in. This can darken with time but Miracle Method says they have a special cleanser you can use to minimize this.

Finally getting around to writing a review on this company.
Back in June 2010, we had our entire tub/​shower done when we first moved into our house because I did not have the time to re-​tile everything. When the job was done, it looked great (except for the all the white powder that got blown all over our bathroom window screen). However, within less than a week we had a portion of the MM resurfacing crack and peel where the shower curtain rod attached. It is one of those rods with the rubber ends that you twist and it wedges against the shower walls. I asked the tech when I could install the shower curtain rod and he said to wait 3 days. Anyway, the miracle method totally crumbled under the rubber tips even though we waited the 3 days as recommended by the tech before installing the rod.
We called Miracle Method and explained the problem. Since we live in Gilroy they said they would send someone down when they had another job in the area. Well, that did not happen any time soon. My wife called multiple times and they scheduled appointments with us only to cancel again and again. This went on for over a year.
My wife had to practically threaten them before they finally sent someone out to fix the peeling section of the shower wall. By that time the soap dish also started peeling. To their credit, they did fix the soap dish for free, but the lady on the phone said this was our one freebie. Almost like they were doing us a huge favor and «stop bugging us».
So, buyer beware. The resurfacing looks great when they first do it, but if you have any kind of a problem then good luck getting them out to correct the problem in a timely fashion.

Great job. We had both bath tubs and the tile surround finished. He re-​grouted all the tile and it looks like new. I would recommend this method before I did a large remodel. Ashley in the office answered all my questions and what she could not answer the owner did.

Don’t expect miracles, it’s just paint. Yes there are bubbles, especially when they only work on spots but it’s an acceptable job. The best is to do the whole thing, but check your options and budget because is not cheap. When you order the service, they give you clues by telling how limited the warranty is for bath tubs, and none for kitchen sinks. it’s just paint, so you need to re do it every 5 years or so
The reason i’m giving them 3 stars is because of the end product and the honesty from guy who came to do the job. Their phone customer services deserves –1 star. Both ladies on the phone are rude, the old guy tells you that he’s gonna tell somebody to call you back, and never does. The worst part was that after my appointment was made, they called me to try to reschedule because they had expo show. That basically tells you, mr customer, we don’t care about you or the service we are giving you, just pay for the service. The guy who did the complete job was great, and the 2nd guy who came for the spot job, and the warranty (which they try to make it sound like a courtesy) was brutally honest (it’s just paint he told me). He definitely wasn’t trying to be nice, and even when i speak spanish, he just told me to take it or leave it. He did what he could though.
So again, it’s more convenient than replacing the whole tub but check other options and vendors, and ladies, if you are reading this, go to a subway and see what nice customer service is about.

We had Miracle Method refinish the tile walls for three tubs and one shower nearly 2 years ago. Two of the finishes are in a rental unit and the others are in what was a rental and is now our unit. I decided to wait to review until I had the opportunity to see how the finnish held up and I’m very pleased that all four of the finishes held up very well.
Janie and others in the office patiently walked us through the process multiple times and answered all our questions. They also were very helpful in working with the contractor on the timing as we needed to finish one unit, move tenants over and then finish the other unit in short order. The technician was very friendly, on time, and did an excellent job ensuring there was no overspray.
I would certainly recommend them. They enabled us to modernize the look from mid 70’s without having to trash otherwise perfectly good tile at a price that is a true value.

I was able to leave my key out for the team and when I returned from my vacation my VERY vintage, 75+ year tub was sparkling white. It was the only way to upgrade our old-​Hollywood bathroom. So happy the grubby, scratched tub is gone. Thanks so much!

These guys are awesome, helped me in less than a week to do a very quick and professional bathroom/​kitchen upgrade so I could get my place listed and sold. Ashley was super helpful, courteous and walked me through their process which I was surprised only lasted 4 days total. At first I was apprehensive of even doing a remodel of my place due to all the hassles of dealing with my HOA and with all the accumulated trash I would have to arrange pickup for. With Miracle Method, there was very little waste as they reuse the existing tub, counters and just coat the surfaces so nothing to discard or recycle. The bathrooms are now a shiny white that is 10 times easier to clean than my previous tile surfaces and the kitchen has a natural stone finish that looks much better than cutout counters I have seen. I would have loved to do granite but the cost and time were just prohibitive for my small condo, totally not worth the cost.
The technician (Jorge) was excellent, he put in the extra hours to get my showers operational in 2 days so I only had to do gym showers twice.
The overall experience was excellent but most importantly was the cost. For less than 4K I was able to get both bathrooms and my kitchen showroom ready. Estimates with traditional remodeling contractors were 2 to 3 times higher which was a deal breaker for me as I committed to a very tight budget.
At the end of the process they even helped me with post remodel nicks and scratches, gave me a free touch up kit which is really simple to use. I only wish I did this earlier so I could have enjoyed the new bathroom/​kitchen for a few years before selling the place.
I am giving 4 stars as it remains to be seen how durable this process is. Guess the new home owners will have to test this out to see if it really lasts, but my initial impressions is this is an excellent alternative to a traditional remodel.

I have nothing, but praise for the Miracle Method! The entire crew was excellent and very responsive. I had called to set the appointement to refinish our 1915 pedestal bathtub and they gave me a cancellation spot for a few days later. Jorge came out on time, stripped the old coating and put on the new coating quickly and professionally. He came back this morning (again on time) and finished the job.
The bathtub looks like brand new! It is perfectly smooth and it looks absolutely flawless. Jorge was a perfectionist and all the hardware was taped off … even the metal around the drain … that looked new too!
The folks in the office were also professional and friendly and very helpful with questions. They even emailed me the quote so I could have it in writing for my files.
As far as I am concerned it is a miracle that the old gross bathtub could look brand new again! Without reservation, I would highly reccomend Miracle Method.

The power of a pissed off consumer is enormous — especially today thanks to the Internet.
Over the years, I’ve hired many contractors to do a lot of work in my home. Miracle Method ranks right down there with the lowest. Here’s why:
1) The technician that came out to my home was intimidating. He had the personality of a common street thug and I didn’t feel comfortable being alone in my own home while he was there.
2) They blew their exhaust out my bathroom window leaving a white powdery mess all over the window screen and my landscaping below the window.
3) There were small bubbles in the surface that eventually popped leaving what are now chips in the surface.
4) We were instructed to remove the hardware from our tub so we hired a licensed plumber to do it for us. To our surprise, and without asking permission first, the MM technician removed the spigot that was not in the tub but a few inches up the wall on the tile. He was careless when he removed it and he scratched our original 1955 tile that was in perfect condition before.
5) When he was done and put the spigot back on, he cross-​threaded it and it was crooked! It looked like crap and was impossible for us to remove so we had to hire a plumber to replace the ruined spigot. Argh!
Let me net it out for the folks at MM — you’ve lost business because of one very unhappy (and very talkative) customer.

Initially we were going to go with Bath Fitters and do a complete overhaul of the bath tub, but once we discovered this place, we were sold! For less than half of the price the remodel would’ve cost us, Miracle Method completely cleanned, cocked and resurfaced our fiberglass bathtub.
Javier came on time and was very meticulous, making sure that his work space was clean and no debris was left anywhere. He was very professional and came back from his lunch and breaks on time.
The end result was a beautifully restored bath tub, minus the ugly shower doors we once had. I would definitely recommend this family owned business again because Javier did great.
I had to knock off a star because it wasn’t made clear to us that we needed to completely take our old fixtures, which kinda sucks because we have this beautiful new tub with calcium deposited fixtures — it’s okay though — nothing a little elbow grease won’t fix.
