Okay so the first review was very true. I had used a groupon though… umm ya the prices seem a little high for me. 150.00 for 3, one hour long classes. (It’s true, there aren’t any other classes like this in the bay area, which is probably how they get away with charging so much money). I am a dancer, I’ve been dancing since I was little, obviously not this kind, but jazz tap etc. So the routine that they spent 3 weeks teaching us in a lap dance class, 3 hours, basically… I could have learned it in 1 hour. I feel a little taken advantage of in that sense. I think it would be cool to have a 1.5 hour class for 60 or so dollars 1 night and that’s it. Teach us the whole dance (for advanced dancers or something). We would learn 1 – 2 8 counts per class. and after 3 weeks we’d have a whole routine… we’d spend a lot of the time doing the dance over and over again. I took the lap dance class last year. One thing that was frustrating was when the class before us ran late, the teacher said oh I’ll stay late because we couldn’t start our class because the class was going on… she stayed 2 min late even though we didn’t start class until 8:10. The prices are so expensive, and for what we get, it’s just not really worth it in my eyes. Charge less for 1 – 1.5 hours and teach the entire routine. Even a non experienced dancer could learn what they teach you in that amount of time. 3 hours to learn as little as we do isn’t worth it.

Did my first pole dancing class here last Saturday afternoon. The place was clean and the instructor was great! The moves was awesome. This was a beginners/​introduction class but it really changed my view on pole dancing as a whole.
It’s a great work out and you definitely have to have upper body strength to swing around these things! Very sexy and sensual.
I’d come back here to take classes again.

I still haven’t made it in for a class but was able to check out their annual Santa Baby Holiday Boutique last weekend. Not only was there burlesque entertainment but some vendors you would actually want to buy from. I went home with Ancient Stones mineral makeup, made right here in San Jose, and some gloss from the Avon lady. Bliss Connections was there too but I had just gone to a party two days prior. Silk scarfs, Miche bags, jewelry and an array of Christmas gift possibilities, you’d be hard pressed to leave without something.

I have been going to sedusa for various dance classes since last febuary. i started with a friend because we loved felix cane and heard it was a good workout. it is so easy to make friends there and if you love shoes as much as me not just the classes but the outfits are to die for.
carol the owner of the entire thing is amazing she is super friendly and smart business woman. i took four classes from her 2 pole and 2 sensual. and jasmine is amazing too she is more into tricks and upbeat music so i took burlesque with her. i plan on going back once i get money saved up (poor student) but no matter your age or size or whatever your insecurities may be carol and her staff will turn you into a pro seductress in no time=)

To begin, Carol who is in charge of all the scheduling and everything is not the nicest. I was trying to schedule something for a group of 6 girls. We all bought the Groupon together back in January or February and now that the Groupon was expiring I was trying to book a class and there really weren’t that many options (the Groupon is only valid for certain classes). I felt that she could have been a bit more helpful and not cut me off by saying «All this information you’re asking for is on my site» :/​It’s difficult enough trying to find a date and time that works for so many of us. I didn’t need the attitude. I ended up having to split the group in two and I did two different classes.
The first time I went there, my car got scraped because of crazy cement crater-​like holes in the driveway to get parking. So. park on the street next to the sidewalk. And the place looks shady because it’s surrounded by dead wharehouse-​looking buildings. When you walk in, it’s still pretty shady because they keep it super dark. The first class was the Burlesque class. I kept looking at the time because it was such a slow-​paced class. The class is an hour long and the first 30 minutes was spent with stretching, posing, etc. However, when we started learning and doing a routine it was a lot of fun.
The second time (I successfully remembered to park on the street and not pull into the drive way) I took the Sensual Pole Dance class. And if I thought the Burlesque one was slow-​paced this one was worse! Again the first 30 minutes or so was spent talking, stretching, posing, putting on shoes (just like bowling alleys. you borrow stripper shoes there), etc. We only learned how to twirl on the pole. And then when I thought we are gonna learn a routine it was just: walk to pole. bend down. go up. walk around pole. twirl. get up. DONE.
I’ve taken a Stripper Class in Las Vegas which was also a beginner’s class and had a super fun time there. I guess I can’t really compare anything to Las Vegas though.
I know because I am a dancer, stretching is really important but I would think if we are going to stretch that much, we would be doing some more intense moves… Because it was such a slow class, I felt that all that stretching was unnecessary.

Professional ladies teach you the art of shaking that monkey. I love it! I’m really shy, but these ladies are really talented and do a great job at keeping you comfortable. I had lots of fun! A real workout too!
I’ve taken the intro pole dancing (for my bestfriend’s bach party) and the video vixen class. Loved both experiences! I plan to go back again.

I actually found out about Sedusa on Unilocal.I got interested in pole dancing after watching Felix Cane on youtube. If you dont know who she is google her. I bought myself an Xpole as a late Christmas present and after receiving it, putting it together, and realizing pole dancing is not at all as easy as it looks, i decided to take classes.
I started out with Sexy Pole Class with Carol (the owner). Her body is A-​Mazing and shes a beautiful dancer! We learned a dance routine as well as some spins and even how to go upside down on the pole! I noticed myself feeling much more confident and sexier after taking this class and wanted more!
Im addicted to the pole and love doing tricks. Im now taking my second Pole Junkie class with Jasmin, who also has an A-​mazing body and makes the moves we learn look so easy! After only 3 months of classes I can already do so many moves on the pole and dance for my fiancé a whole lot sexier and with more confidence!
I love Sedusa and I look forward to my classes there every week!, Pole dancing is the most fun way to work out, instead of «is my hour of exercise done yet?» its «my hour is up already!?!» If you come to Sedusa you’ll prob see me cause im not going anywhere ;)

Another disappointed customer from Groupon. I haven’t been to a class but finding a class in Campbell that fit our schedule was such a pain that all of my friends and I ended up getting our money back from Groupon.
Carol doesn’t have that many options and I am a bit surprised that she is still advertising on Groupon again (Feb 1^st) after selling so many last time and having a similar deal on Townhog.
Her email communication was short and unwelcoming. I rather take my business to the bazillion other pole dancing studios in the area.

I love this place. Carol and all the teachers are super accommodating and great. Do not be intimated! Wear cute/​sexy work out clothes to make you feel extra cute during your work out.
I recommend Pole Fitness if you are on a budget (it’s a 4 week series instead of 5, and the rate per class is 5 bucks cheaper I believe so you save 20 bucks). Pole Fitness is a great work out, you bust a sweat every time and you get to twirl!
I have only taken one Pole Dance 5 week series. Carol taught the series and it really gives you a more chill work out but makes you feel like a sex pot. After taking some pole classes in NYC, I really enjoy the bigger focus on the sensuality of pole dance and the slower pace at which the girls dance at this studio. Sedusa is where I go to clear my mind and feel great about myself! i recommend sedusa to ALL my girlfriends.

I had fun taking an intro pole dancing class here. Our instructor was freaking HOT. Wish I had a body like her… and her self confidence!
We went through a series of basic warmups and pole moves, and were taught one pole trick (spinning around). My entire right shin was covered in bruises (guess I attacked the pole a little too aggressively). Taking the class made me want to take more classes.
Everyone should give pole dancing a try!

Introductory Pole /​Sensual Dancing Class: You’ll spend 15 minutes on a cushioned mat warming up, learning how to arch your body, getting comfortable with your curves and feeling stretched and like a sexy free spirit. Then you’ll get your 5″ stilettos, which are surprisingly comfortable because of the cushioned sole, and you’ll learn how to circle your pole, do a simple twirl around the pole (a throwback to «twirling» down a pole on a playground), how to smoothly move your body so you fully extend your lines and look more sensual and like a dancer, and a wall dance where you learn how to accentuate your body and slide your back down the wall. We basically learned a pole twirl, «crawling» on the floor like a cat, doing a 360 stationary turn around the pole and how to sensually use your body.
Instructor: Carol is really encouraging, sweet, patient and humorous. She’s aware of her body, makes joking references to playing to the audience and getting your sig other’s attention, and explains the art of sensual dancing. She takes the class seriously so you don’t feel it’s just a joke class. She also has one of the most calming voices ever– kind of like a yoga instructor.
Venue: The studio is a little space tucked away in a winding business park area that reminds me a lot of the business centers in Cerritos or Irvine (CA). There’s about 10 – 12 poles and a cage with a pole. The red lighting is complemented by little twinkling lights, black light (our teeth looked blue, right Alvie?), roses, two couches, and strobe lights in the room.
Comments: It was a good class, and Carol tried to really sell us on taking a series of classes.
I wish she demonstrated what we could learn through more advanced classes, but she just ticked off the different classes. It would have been nice if she threw in an «advanced» move to give us a taste of what we could be doing in the next classes. For example, in addition to doing a twirl, maybe she could have said, «For one step further, you could do x or y with your legs/​hands.» Like a leg extension or different variations of the basic move. Or she could have said, «When you’re comfortable with this move, try adding on this» or maybe an agility move– how cool would that be? I had thought we’d learn more in the «basics» class, but this was also a nice, slow-​paced class where you could really enjoy the moment.
I thought the class could have been longer. The 15-​min warm up and then 5 – 10 minutes to get us shoes and check in the ladies who came later made the class feel a lot shorter. I don’t think any of us broke a sweat at all.
The music is good melody music, but I thought she’d use more sensual hip hop music. (Maybe I really was expecting more of a workout than a slow, seducing pole dance.)
I like we learned little moves that we could take home– things like how to sit more pretty with your toes pointed. Though, if you’ve had dance experience, you’d probably want to try a more advanced class or a dance class to get your energy out.
This totally looks like a fun thing to do for a ladies’ party or bachelorette party. I saw a group of girls go in with customs/​outfits for a private party/​class. I would love to do that.

I just came back from the Pussycat Doll Dance class, I give the class a solid 3 stars.
First off, the studio looks REALLY fun, with dim lighting, poles all around the studio, and a pole cage in the corner of the room.
It really is a welcoming class with no one judging your level of coordination. It is overall really fun.
The reason why I am raving about this class yet I give it only a 3 star rating is because it was a «workout» class yet I barely broke a sweat. Very rarely did I feel my heart rate speed. But it was a good time, an hour of dancing. I do want to try their other classes but I would probably not do this one again.

I went here to celebrate one of my girl friend’s 25^th birthday. It was really fun watching my friends dance sultry and do sexy stretch routines to the songs of our choice! Hilarious, actually. I’ve gone pole dancng before at iPole in Vacaville, so I already had a taste of what was to come before our session began.
With that being said, here are a list of pros an cons:
Pros:
–Huge dance floor/​studio. I believe they had 10 poles and even a corner cage!
–Super nice instructor. I can’t remember her name, but she was the cute blonde :).
Cons:
–Expensive! It was 39 each girl for 9 girls this weekend. If I remember correctly, it only cost me about $ 25 or so for an hour session at iPole with a 5 girl group. AND we got to learn a sexy wall dance for free!
–Everything is very basic. Nothing special/​crazy about the session. I hate to keep compaing this studio to iPole in Vacaville, but I can’t help but notice the major difference in dance routine/​pole tricks. I learned how to slide down the pole UPSIDE down at iPole for crying outloud! Unfortunately, the hardest part of this weekend’s dance routine for me was the knee bends against the pole (ouch!).
All in all, it was still a very fun experience with my lovelies. We had enough space to run around and take silly pictures, and watch each other’s dance routines. Next time I pole dance, I am totally recommending iPole in vacaville though (that is, unless, Sedusa changes up their routine a bit and lower their prices).

I just took my first sensual/​pole dancing class, and I absolutely LOVED it.
We got to wear crazy super high clear stripper shoes and learned how to twirl around on the pole. The shoes were surprisingly comfortable. I kinda want a pair now.
I went with my sister, and we both had so much fun.
I really liked Carol (instructor and owner, I believe) and her sexy and funny personality. Oh yeah, her music choices were pretty awesome as well.
I want more! I want to continue the sensual dance and pole dance as well as try go-​go dancing, lap dancing, and video vixen (lol).

Never in my life would I have thought that I would take a pole dancing class. If my mother ever knew I took a pole dancing class, she would dis-​own me, take my last name away, and say she never gave birth to me!
Our girlfriend is getting married and in an effort to make sure her wedding night is successful, what better then a pole dance class! And we, the wedding party can use some classes too!
There were about 12 or 13 women that attended a Beginning Pole Dancing Class at Seduca.
The place is tucked away in Campbell. The reception area is very small, but very welcoming. The actual studio is pretty big and has 12 poles.
I have to say our instructor Heather, was very professional, she made us feel very comfortable. Like Carnita M. said, the instructors do a great job of showing you the right moves and you don’t feel uncomfortable, they make you feel VERY sexy and confident!
Heather explained the importance of posture and position. The other aspect I liked was the fact that you don’t have to be super buff so do some moves. They taught us basic pole dancing moves and the twirl on the pole (which I do have a bruise from). Once we learned everything we put a little show together and pole danced.
This was such a fun class, well worth the money! And the best part, you walk out of that studio feeling the sexiest, classy, and confident women!
They have a variety of classes. The individual classes do seem a bit pricey but I can already tell they are worth it!

I took the intro to sensual/​pole dance class for 25 bucks. I learned how to twirl on a pole without dying: D It was nice that there were other people in the class to interact with.
Everything was super fun and exciting ^_​_​_​^

Sexy pole moves! I was invited via Eve for a fun girl birthday party here. Thank you Eve! At first, everyone was a little timid and shy, but the instructor did a great job to get us into the mood. First you arrive and they give you these huge 5 inch stiletto shoes. We carefully made ourselves into the Pole room and luckily I did not fall at all! Inside Eve had drinks waiting since she had everyone bring some drinks so if needed you could booze up a bit to relax and get yourself in the mood. Great idea! So a little booze and there was out instructor who has us do some pre moves on a mat which was ok but I think was a bit longer than needed on the floor.
Once we got into it and learned how to twirl, move our hips, sexy walk, and crawling on the floor looking hot of course. It was fun but would have been nice to do more moves on the actual pole. But it was a large class so I understand had to do less so everyone can stay on same level. By the end of the hour and half, we were able to do a little routine. It was soooo much fun! Price was $ 35.00 per person so not cheap but it was nice to have a private class and instructor. I recommend wearing comfy yoga clothes since you are rubbing against the pole, twirling on the pole and crawling on the floor. I also loved how the instructor said to keep it to yourself in our back pocket until that one deserving man comes along. Perfect!

Dress up sassy, dance in dim lighting, down some liquid courage, learn how to work a poll, get in touch with your sexy self, have some laughs, and enjoy some girly time. That’s what we did for my birthday this year in a private poll dancing class for about 20 of us. It was definitely something different and everyone seemed to have a great time.
Cost to worth it ratio: 2.8 ($ 35/​person is a bit spendy and would be nice to get a bit of a break when you go over a certain number, but it is a private class for 1.5 hours)
Highlights:
— Private class: so nice to be able to do this in the comfort of the company of my friends. With a group of strangers I’d feel more nervous and awkward than I did already!
— Something new: only a few in our group had ever done something like this before – it’s always fun venturing into undiscovered territory.
— Playing dress up: the 5 inch stiletos they gave us to wear were a trip! I felt like I was a little girl trying on my moms shoes. These were black and had clear heels – pretty hot. They are a bit hard to walk in, but added to the novelty of the class. You can wear cute outfits (short skirts, sexy tops, sparkly items) if you’d like to get into character a bit more.
— Room: a good amount of polls, a cage area, and dim lighting – really set the mood.
— Drinks: you’re allowed to bring in your own alcoholic beverages which were so needed in this environment to feel a bit more at ease. Towards the end of the class Hint: bring jello shots, as they are easy to have on the go since you can only imbibe towards the beginning and when you’re on the sidelines watching your friends take a turn.
Midlights:
— Tricks: you only learn one trick and the rest is a routine that includes mostly walking and dancing around the poll. I had to practice a bit and wasn’t very good at the trick so I understand why they don’t want to tackle too many, but some girls wanted to learn more poll work.
Lowlights:
— Apparently if you have more than 16 people, you’re supposed to notify the studio and they provide 2 instructors. I wasn’t informed of this process and was told upon booking we could have up to 24 girls. They seemed a bit upset at me the day of which bummed me out prior to my party.
— I’d prefer less of the non-​poll warm up time – I understand the need to stretch a bit, but we’re all so excited and there to get to the poll part.
I had a good time and I’m sure I’ll be back, as several of our friends were interested in doing it again.

CAVEAT: So, apparently you can’t take a more advanced class without taking a beginning class at first… AT THEIR STUDIO.
My story:
I walked in with high hopes to the Level 1 Pussycat Dance class and ended coming out with just a burning hole in my wallet.
The PCD class on Fridays is good for people who have never taken a dance class in their life. I found myself pretty bored when actually learning the routine, but the warmup in the beginning was pretty nice. I *do* wish the instructor spent more time stretching (but not sure if she did or not, since I arrived 5 min late). In any case, I didn’t sweat a single drop in the entire class.
So, after class, I decided to talk to the instructor, who in turn, told me to talk to the owner, Carol, about my gripes with the class not being challenging enough for me. Because I know that there are no refunds for the classes (you pay for one month in one lump sum), I didn’t ask for a refund. However, I did ask to transfer to a different class (if they had space), but Carol wouldn’t let me do that. She said that the classes were full and that I had to wait until next month. I asked again if there was a way to transfer the leftover 3 classes I wasn’t going to this month to the next month. She was pretty firm about not letting me do that either, and that I *had* to take the level 1 to get to the higher levels. (What bull. In any case in real life, there are exceptions to the rule. If you can speak and write French, you don’t have to take an elementary course in French.)
I had pegged this place for a pretty relaxed place, since it wasn’t a big chain dance studio, and was pretty small, but I was TOTALLY WRONG. (Almost any other small business I’ve frequented, there have been rule-​bendings, and trying to appeal to the customer, especially with the state of the economy right now.)
Carol was pretty firm, but I was pretty adamant as well. I am usually an easy going person, but money is tight these days, unemployment is rampant, the economy’s in the shithole and I just want to get my money’s worth. After 30 minutes of trying to devise new ways for them to keep my $ 80 (and I was willing to add more money into a new class as well), Carol finally let in and let me pay for my one class at the introductory rate of $ 25.
SUMMARY (TL;DR):
So, it’s not too bad. I’m down $ 25, but I doubt I’d want to go back anytime soon. They probably think I’m a troublemaker (which is totally not true! I’m pretty complacent!). If I have money to burn in the future, I’ll try out their pole dancing classes instead.
I think the instructors are great, especially for women who are in dire need of some self-​confidence when they walk into the room.
However, the classes need to be a little more flexible in where if an advanced dancer wanted to learn some moves, they can let her in a higher level class.
My $ 0.02, anyway. Take it or leave it
