Bitchin Burgers

I ran into this food truck at the Encinitas Fall Festival. (
) After spending some time walking around and checking things out, I started to get the hongries, so I ended up here: Bitchin Burgers!
Instead of a burger, I opt for the Bitchin Hot Dog for $ 5. It was an all natural uncured beef dog smothered with grilled onions, aged cheddar, uncured bacon, chopped tomatoes, and a spicy ketchup sauce. (
) The dog was very good and the ketchup had a nice kick to it. The all beef dog was juicy and full of flavor. The crispy flavorful bacon was what really took this dog over the top. (
) The only thing that I did not really like was the aged cheddar. I like cheddar, but on this dog, the cheddar left a dry after taste in the back of the mouth after each bite. Perhaps a moister or wetter cheese would help. Other than that, the bitchin dog was, well, bitchin!
Next time I run in to these guys, I need to try one of their burgers.
