Purchased a Mac pro from ipower a couple of years ago. Great computer (still, no issues), great price, great customer service. They contacted me to determine my configuration requirements so they could make certain they were setting it up as i needed prior to shipping. All good.

This past week I bought the 2^nd Macbook Pro from iPowerResale. The laptops that are Grade A, are immaculate. I first bought a laptop for a friend back in April 2015. I felt like I bought a brand new computer.
Fast forward to today, my 2010 Macbook Pro GPU just stopped working, I decided to buy a second Macbook pro 2012 for myself. Another Mid-​2012 Macbook Pro, I like them because they are last upgradeable macbook pros. I could not be happier. Anyway, if you are looking for a good deal, you will want to check these guys out.
The first time I purchased from this company I had a great customer service experience. The guy was very attentive, and it just felt like he cared. There was a special back in April for my first purchase and received a free Apple TV. Which was pretty cool. The 2^nd time around there was no such special, and the sales rep was a little less attentive. Nevertheless, I was happy with my purchase.

Unfortunately to say the least I am not happy at all with this company. I bought a computer for my daughter to go to college and within the first month she tried to download a video for anatomy. It would start to download it, run about five minutes and then cut off. She would reboot it, get it going and try to do it again and it did the same thing. We took it back to iPower and the gentleman said that it was probably a setting in something to do with movies. We took it home and with in a couple of weeks she tried it again and it did the same thing. Shortly after that it completely died and would not charge. She took it back to Ipower and they gave her a new charger cord. She brought it home got it to charge and just started doing homework. After a few months she told me about it and that it was still doing the same things and so I’ve contacted ipower and they tell me it is out of their warranty and will cost me $ 350 to repair…
To add insult to injury I even purchased one from them a couple of months ago for my son not knowing that my daughter was still having this problem. That’s when my daughter told me hers was still not fixed and so I contacted them.
This is something that was wrong with the computer when we bought it. They buy computers from who knows where and say they refurbish them but I have my doubts about the efficiency and adequacy in which they do some diligence on used equipment
Do not purchase used equipment from this company … You will regret it.

I purchased a used Mac on eBay from iPower and unfortunately it arrived with a few issues. I contacted them through eBay and they responded very promptly. They were more than happy to take care of the issues and ended up swapping the machine out with no questions asked. I felt obligated to leave a review on Unilocal as good customer service like this is (unfortunately) so rare these days. I’d definitely recommend them.

Always had great service and good prices. Great resource for Mac owners in town. Nice shop with lots of products in store.

Love them, love them, love them! And great to have apple products, great prices & great support right in our little hometown! But reading some of the other reviews now makes me nervous. My sister bought laptop, my dad bought desktop from them & both have been very satisfied. There was a problem with the data transfer from my dads old pc, but they fixed it easily and without any problems right away

Purchased a iMac from them on ebay. Had several issues from get-go:delayed shipping, shipped without power cord. Had to open ebay dispute to get computer. Then we had issues with graphics card, shipped back to them for repar and now we cannot get our computer back from them. They have had it for 6 months! Many phone and email discussions and always given the run-​around. Would not recommend doing business with this company!

Very Happy w/​my Refurbished 2010 Mac Pro!
I bought a late-​2010 refurbished Mac Pro tower from iPower Resale in January 2014 and I am very happy with the buying experience. I dealt exclusively with Christina, mostly via e-​mail but on the telephone too. Their selection at the time was impressive (remember, their kind of business has a high inventory turnover rate) and their knowledge of Apple products was as deep as one should expect.
I was particularly impressed with their willingness to continually provide information while I did my own research… it turned out to be a few weeks between my initial inquiry and final purchase decision yet they remained pleasant, helpful and patient. I racked up a few good years of retail experience in my 20’s and I’m not so sure I would have been as patient as they were while I continually bombarded them with seemingly left-​field questions (I wasn’t testing them, I was doing everything possible to ensure my homework was done so to speak).
***One final point… I purchased iPower Resale’s proprietary 1-​year service contract but I have not needed to avail myself of it. That’s a good thing. However, I believe their reaction & subsequent behavior following a support request will be the ultimate test of their value. If I should need service, rest assured I will follow up this review with my experience.

Bought a macbook pro from them. Looks great, works great. Screen look a little dimmer, but hey it’s used. 3 months goes by. Fine. Literally 3 days after my warranty goes, the graphics card begins to act up and soon the computer is inoperable. I call them the night it happens leaving my number. No one calls me back and I had to call back mid day.
I’m told by a nice woman that since it’s a couple days out of warranty that their manager wouldn’t mind swapping out the logic board but she’d need to check. I say I’m going to the apple store to verify the problem. She’ll call in an hour. No call. I call again a couple hours later and another woman answers. She has no idea what I was talking about and rudely told me her manager wasn’t in.
I’m at an apple store and yep, logic board replacement. So I call ipower and tell them what’s up. Got the original nice girl, still no manager and apparently the technician wasn’t in either. But because I’m 3 days out, I’d have to pay 490. Okay I get it, warranty was over. But she’d definitely get back to me tomorrow with a definitive answer. No call. No email. Nothing. Here I am a week later having just paid Apple to do this. And guess what, the memory in my computer was defective according to the apple tech report. Also turns out they put Dell RAM into this. Which the techs almost rejected my laptop based on that. Fun.
So all in all, sure they had a laptop I wanted for a cheap price. But apparently management is either not around or tells their reps to say they aren’t in. Sucks because I want to recommend them to my friends… I’m the guy who people turn to for apple advice, where to get a good used one, how to fix these suckers. Guess I’m referring my business elsewhere. At least their customer service girl… one of them anyway… was a sweetheart.

A big CHEERS to iPower Resale who saved my a*s big time. I figured it was time for a new one so off to the Mac store I went. I’m an advocate of the Mac store, but they don’t do hard drives. At least not mine since I basically ruined my macbook by spilling a martini (straight up vodka) on my keyboard. As a natural blonde I had this brilliant idea to clean the keyboard with baby wipes. Bad idea, as I corroded to logic board among other things. But, hey, it looked good, it just wouldn’t boot up… U Break We Fix on Telegraph Road in Ventura (they are awesome as well) suggested I call iPower. They had some funky hours that coincided with me never getting there in time from work, but if you call them, they will set up an appointment at any convenient time (for me it was the eve of Thanksgiving). When I got there, Christine greeted me and assured me that my files would be saved. She educated me on the mac air and was never in any way pushy or «salesy». She was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and explained things in layman’s terms. She answered every question I had and never came close to rolling her eyes when I asked questions that would make the average mac user fall over laughing. Their prices were very reasonable and the service is off the charts. A copy of every file and application was made and transferred to my new laptop. All I had to do was turn it on and everything was exactly as it was before. The mac store said I had to go to use an outside service to do this, and it would run anywhere between $ 750 — $ 2500. iPower Resale did it for free. Bottom line is I saved over $ 1000. Thank you iPower!

Great place to buy products for any of your Mac needs :)
The deals are better than most refurbished shops and provide personal support such as transferring data or even making special weekend appointments for those who are too busy during normal business hours!

Just got a trackpad for $ 17 cheaper than apple’s website!

I purchased a refurbished Mac Pro Computer from iPowerResale Group in Carpinteria on February 25, 2013.
I did my research and found that their prices were comparable to other re-​sellers and they also provided a 90 day warranty on the unit. That was all great to me cause Im trying to keep my purchases local and with «Mom & Pop» shops here within Santa Barbara, rather than buying online or traveling to Los Angeles.
THE GOOD…
Good to fair prices on Macintosh Computers.

THE BAD…
The computer tower was all beat up, looked as if it was sand blasted and then tried to be buffed out.
Did not come with Blue-​tooth, Wi-​Fi, or even extra Hard Drives trays.
The power cord was not even the correct one for this MacPro Model, it is ill-​fitting and I have to really shove it in the port to stay, and it still dosent stay snugly in the AC port.
The MacTower was all dusty inside, and dirty with what feels like tape residue on the outside. I would have assumed the tower would have been cleaned up and presented to new buyer looking A LOT BETTER.
Why did I buy it? Cause I was in desperate need of a new MacPro tower for a work related time frame, needed a tower badly and quickly.
I even tried to get this computer up-​graded with a more suitable model for my needs and even offered extra cash to do it. Sort of a trade in the old one for a new one… But I was told that we «don’t do that», but will gladly sell you what you do need, «AS IN’ a new tower system…
Will I buy from iPowerResale Group again? … Most likely NOT…
