Auto Analysts II

I have to add my praise to all the others about Auto Analysts II. Anil and his team are so easy to work with and so helpful. I recently took my 2007 335I to the dealer for inspection. Their analysis included suspension and oil system work totaling over $ 4800. After reading about AA II here I called and asked Anil to review the estimate. His initial assessment was $ 2300 for the same work! I had him do the suspension first, paying under $ 700 for work the dealer estimated at $ 2000. While completing that he also inspected the oil system. He didn’t believe it needed the extensive repair the dealer had recommended. Bottom line… my car is now completely repaired for under $ 1300. I can’t believe it took me so long to find this wonderful repair shop that is within walking distance of my home! I will continue to bring my car to Anil for as long as I have it; which now will be for many more years.

Brought my e39 in with a broken water pump and needing new belts. Anil took care of me, replacing my tensioner and a couple hoses he found broken at no additional cost. Very fast, friendly service.

Great repair shop! I’ve taken my car here several times and I’ve always had a great experience. The cost ends up being reasonable and the mechanics are very honest. There’s never a long wait to get your car in and the turnaround is very fast.

Wow can’t believe I didn’t leave a review sooner. This guy has been helping me out for years. The service is great, timely, and I don’t think you can find a more honest mechanic. I highly recommend this shop to everyone I know.

I just picked up my Bimmer. Anil saved me a ton of $. I was prepared to get raked over the coals and was I wrong. He even fixed an intermittent problem without charge. I’m definitely going back for my next service to Auto Analysts. I am more than impressed.

I called the day before to get an overdue oil change on my 328i and they were able to squeeze me in the next mornning. When i got there, Anil had helped me and let me know that the service was gonna take about 30 mins and that there was a good café up the street. By the time i got back, my car was ready to go. This place was awesome! its so hard to find a good mechanic that wont rip you off because you’re a girl and they just assume that you dont know anything. I think i’ve finally found someone i can trust and is super close to my house. I’m so glad to have found Auto Analysts! I’m finally not dreading the next time I need to get my car serviced.

I had checked out several shops in the area. There quotes we’re comparable, but having had several BMW’s in the past I could tell they were the most knowledgable. I was able to get my car in right away, they didn’t try to upsell me, they just fixed what was needed and told me what I could wait on. Very professional. I’ll definetly be back!

I recently acquired a 540i which had a bad coolant leak. I called Auto Analysts II because I thought the pricing would be much better than closer to my home. I had my Bimmer towed in. Auto Analysts did the coolant pressure test and found that the coolant expansion tank was cracked. Anil called me and gave me a quote by phone which I felt was on the high side. I called the local 5-​Star Unilocal shop in San Ramon and got a quote $ 80 less. In light of this new found information, I asked Anil if he could give me a break on the rate. «No, we charge book rate of 30 minutes for diagnosis and 1.4 hours to replace the tank plus part and coolant». I responded that I had the factory BMW coolant in the trunk and he stated that he could discount that portion. I show up to what is an old abandoned gas station turned into a BMW repair facility. I find that the quote was back to the original quote and that the tech had used the shop coolant. It must have been green because coolant left on my bumper was not wiped off when I arrived home.
Now, I am not complaining about the work itself but I feel as a first time customer, a little more attention to customer concerns should be considered to build loyalty. Details such as cleaning the coolant off of the bumper before returning the car to the customer should not have been missed. I have been to Edge in Dublin and Performance Technic in P-​Town and they have always gone above and beyond the customer’s expectations. Checking other things for free such as suspension and other wear items to let customer know what to expect down the road.
All in all three stars is fair.

Welcome to the next generation of mechanic. The transparency, the digital proficience, the young and passionate energy (these guys all race BMW’s)… AND it’s fast AND it costs less?! Simply put, these guys make everyone else look like a-​holes.
I drive a 1974 car (that has been modified), every day, because of these guys. First of all it’s a completely different man-​car relationship. Nowadays we are like «I’m the person, I dominate you, Car» but with vintage cars you give, and they kinda push back. It’s a real life dance of finely tuned athletic machinery, and Careen needs me as much as I need her.
This is where I take my car.
And unlike most people, I went to five other places places before finding them and writing this review.
I’ve seen them apply the same mastery (plus all the state-​of-​the-​art tech) to new BMW’s. The auto dealer/​old boy network is an insult. (Just look at what they are doing to Tesla.) Taking your BMW here will become one of the best parts of owning one.

Best BMW services any where!

This review is for Anil who handles all of my BMW needs. Anil is such a nice guy to work with and has great customer service. He always responds in a timely manner, and when something goes wrong after I’ve taken it to the shop, he always offers to fix it again for free. Or if a part is taking much longer than expected to come in and my car’s been sitting at the shop for a long time, he throws in perks or discounts because of the inconvenience. Great guy. Go to him for all your BMW repair needs.

Bought a used 6 series that started making quite a noise about a week after I got it. My husband shopped around to a few BMW repair places in CV and really hit it off with Anil. He diagnosed a vacuum leak and had it fixed within a day — only the part that he repaired wasn’t the problem. So we took the car back and Anil figured out the real culprit. He’s now refunding my original service fee to what it should have been — a $ 500 refund!
Finally, an honest auto mechanic! He’s won my business and my reference.

These guys really know (and love) bimmers. They are very knowledgeable and nice. They are easy to work with and will find used parts when possible.
Anil drives a BMW so that right there is a good sign. He always shows me what he takes out of the car, like the worn down brake disc or the nasty air filter, etc. He is candid about other things that he finds wrong but doesn’t try to force you into getting something you don’t need. I always feel like I am talking to a friend that genuinely cares.
Your BMW is begging you to take it here. Do it. You’ll have piece of mind and your wallet will thank you. My repair costs ended up being hundreds of dollars cheaper than the dealer every time I took my 2004 3-​series here.

Anil and Dom are great. They have taken nothing but great care of me since my mom gave me her ’90 750 il. I was really worried when I got the car because I know how expensive BMW’s can be to work on, let alone a V12 that is over 20 yrs old. I went through a few other shops before I found these guys and I am so glad I found them. They are extremely honest and very nice. They always get me the best price, no matter what work I am having done. Just yesterday, they did a job for me for free that the SMOG check place, 76 station on C.V. Blvd., was going to charge me 2 hrs for at $ 125/​hr! Anil’s response, «No charge, it was an easy job.» It’s this attitude that keeps me a very loyal customer.

So after my service warranty expired on my 2008 328i, I was in dire need of a REPUTABLE, BMW certified, auto repair specialist. After searching on Unilocal,I stumbled upon this 5-​star establishment.
I’ve been here on 3 separate occasions for BMW service (which is their absolute specialty) and left satisfied each time. They do excellent work. But beyond that, they are extremely honest. It’s for this reason that I consider myself a returning customer. Anil — the owner– is sooo chill and really goes the extra mile. And for the level of service and the prices of the parts (there’s no getting around the cost of BMW parts), the prices are very fair… and a helluva lot cheaper than BMW! Bottom line, I’ll be returning for all my auto care needs… BMW or no BMW. Yeah, they’re that good!

Called the shop for a few maintenance items on my ’99 328i. During the call, was pleased to hear all the work would be done in one day (oil change, rotate & balance tires, flush steering fluid, replace both drive belts, replace spark plugs). Anil (owner) was very nice, very kind and pleasant, and made the experience as painless as possible (I loathe auto maintenance). Two days later, the car wouldn’t start, and had the symptoms of a dead battery. I called Anil, and he said whenever I could get it in would be fine. Fortunately I was able to jump it with our other car, and Anil had me in and out with a new battery (and no appointment) in 25 minutes. And, their prices are very reasonable. I’ve found a new home to have our BMW serviced.

Had a check engine soon light come on my BMW X3 came here and rIght away greeted by staff and car put on diagnostic computer. Found the issue right away no hassle no guessing. Will definite get more servicing done here.

Super good techs. I am very picky about who i bring my 5 series to and these guys are the best i know of in the Bay. Small family business that is honest and respected.
Super friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonable.
They have racecars all over their lot, and you can tell they love what they do.
Ive had a clutch done there, a full new suspension, full brake job, and a bunch of other little stuff, and it has always been awesome and fair priced.

Auto Analysts is a family-​run place that you have probably driven by 100 times if you live or work in CV. After my BMW’s transmission was choking on me, I drove the extra 4 blocks and had it looked at by these guys.
They certainly know what they’re doing. They were able to diagnose the problem and offered what seemed to be a solution.
I have since brought the car to them one or two other times. Most recently, it was to install rear brake pads and rotors I had ordered online. They got the work done in half a day and were super nice about everything. If you need a ride, they can drop you off or pick you up!
They’re fair, honest, and reasonably priced. They do a very good job, and they have certainly become my go-​to place in the East Bay for my BMW issues.
My A/​C needs to be recharged sometime in the next few months. Guess who I’m going to? That’s right…
