I was so fortunate to have the best DJ-​Joey Hartfield, DJ for me at my wedding. He did an amazing job, and I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Joey. Before I booked Complete Wedding & Events, I did a thorough research on the best DJ I could find, and Joey’s name kept popping up on the reviews. I made a special request to have him DJ my event. He did a wonderful job, and he got the crowd dancing all night until the very end. He was courteous, professional, and polite. He contacted me before the event, and he introduced himself to me. He answered any questions I had, and he spoke to me to me in regards to what kind of music I would like to have played at the event. Complete Weddings & Events lets you manage a playlist, and provide details on what kind of music/​genre you like. Joey exceeded my expectations, and I’m so grateful to have him & Complete Wedding & Events DJing my event. My wedding was perfect, and they were a big part of how great my event turned out to be. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

Tent, tables, chair rentals, and photo booth were amazing. However, the DJ situation was terrible. Went through 3 different DJs before one actually contacted me for my wedding… and it was less than a week before the wedding. I was sent a huge form to fill out the day before the wedding and he didn’t even follow the song choices. He even called out the wrong parents for the dances and didn’t pay attention to when certain songs should be played… ie, leaving the ceremony and starting the reception. And it’s not necessarily the DJ’s fault but the company who didn’t give him enough time to prepare to begin with. It was pretty disappointing.

My sister-​in-​law used Complete Weddings + Events as the DJ for her wedding reception, and they were amazing! Everyone was dancing all night long! DJ Nick knew just which songs to play and was great at entertaining the crowd. We will be sure to recommend Complete to other family and friends and will definitely use them ourselves in the future!

While Complete Weddings + Events offers a ton of services, we chose to only use them for music and announcements at our service. We were assigned Earnest, who was flawless in his delivery. He did everything we asked of him, perfectly. He seemed to really understand our musical tastes. We were a bit picky about songs we didn’t want to hear, and he respected that perfectly. He was also a perfect gentleman for the entire process, and overall just fun to be around. If possible, I would definitely suggest requesting Earnest for your next event. He was great!

To be clear: I have not used any of the services of Complete. However, I felt compelled to leave a review after my communications with Kevin. I contacted the company because I was looking for a videographer for my upcoming wedding. From the first phone call to all the emails following, they were extremely friendly and just very nice to talk to. Responded to my emails fast, which is a big plus in my book. They really tried to make it work with my budget which is not something I encountered a lot in the wedding industry. Even when I, eventually, was not able to get enough room for it in my budget, and had to tell them no, Kevin was super nice. Again, I can’t speak about the actual wedding services, but I do want to say that their customer service is worth 5 stars for me!

Our Complete DJ– Joey –was AWESOME! He was everything we could have hoped for. He was professional and fun and made sure our wedding day ran smoothly. People were dancing the ENTIRE time which is exactly what I wanted! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him for your special occasions! I don’t have a single complaint about Joey. Thank you for making our wedding day so memorable!
The photo booth we got from Complete, however, wasn’t everything they promised. I am more than happy with the photos from the photo booth, but the operator was really young and seemed inexperienced. When I asked him if he was saving the second photo strip for me and my husband, he told me he would «get to that soon». I didn’t need for him to place them in the scrap book provided himself, but I wanted (and was told) that we could get one photo strip print of every photo strip taken. We maybe got a tenth of the photo strips. We were given the digital copies, but I am unable to print the photo strips to look like the strips for my scrap book. If you get a photo booth from Complete, you may want to ask a friend to man the station to make sure you get everything you were promised.

Complete Music was good, not great. We hired them for our wedding in September 2013 and were happy with the results, but not wowed by any means. It’s a huge company, offering competitive prices and many services. Being able to use the same company for your DJ, photographer, videographer, photo booth, etc, is definitely a plus, however we chose just to use them for their DJ services.
Responsiveness was a bit of a problem, and I sometimes had to write several emails until a heard back from them. Actually, let me clarify. I received numerous emails back from them while waiting for a response. Most of these, however, were marketing emails letting my know of the various deals and packages they were offering.
They told us we would be allowed to pick a DJ based on their DJ profile page. When we tried to do so (6 months in advance), they said that because their DJ’s change regularly it was too soon and we’d have to wait until about 6 weeks prior to our wedding. That was understandable, but when the 6-​week marker came and I tried to choose a DJ, they said he had already been booked. We were subsequently assigned one that wasn’t even on their list. Then it took another three weeks for them to provide me with the contact info for our DJ.
The Dj we were assigned, Tim, was more responsive than the company as whole. There were many songs I wanted played that were not on their list, and when I asked him what format he would like me to bring them in, he told me that he had a personal song list that was much more extensive than the companies, and the songs that he didn’t have he could download, which was great.
On the day of the wedding, the processional music, my walking down the aisle song, as well as both the first dance and father daughter dance songs, were all on point. The music during reception was good and kept our guests dancing (which is what I wanted), but many of the songs I had on my list were missed. Admittedly, I had told him that I didn’t need every single song played, but it seemed as though there were only a select few that were actually played. Also, I was given the option to have my DJ take requests from our guests. Many of these request were never granted. And worse than that, at one point I went up to the DJ booth to make a request and had to wait 5 – 6 songs to hear it. Now, I don’t mean to sound like a bridezilla, but if the bride requests a song you should play that song next!
Overall, we were satisfied. Neither my husband nor I are «music people», so spending extra $$ on the best of the best wasn’t in our best interest or in our budget. The most important songs were played, and that’s what mattered the most to us.

Let’s face it, a DJ is probably the most important wedding reception vendor you will pick. A great DJ has the ability (and skill) to set the desired tone for the entire reception. We were extremely lucky to find Johnny Murphy of Complete Music to be our DJ, and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. We only had a few specific requirements for the wedding ceremony music, and Johnny nailed each one with absolute precision. We left the music choices for the reception pretty wide open, only giving general parameters for the overall genres and style. Johnny took that and ran with it, keeping the dance floor occupied all night. He has a great demeanor, and was able to work well with our wedding coordinator to maintain the timeline. In short, he did a fantastic job in all respects and we would whole heartedly recommend him for your special occasion!

Complete Music provided a great platform for creating a playlist. The DJ understood what our event guests wanted and the night of the party he was right on target. He truly made my party a hit! He covered everything everyone wanted to hear! They also were very professional and offered great service deals. Kudos to DJ Andrew and thanks a bunch!

During our wedding planning my now husband and I did some research before choosing Complete Music for our big day (Oct. 27^th, 2012). They were on a preferred vendors list that was provided by our venue, Kindred Oaks. I called and talked to Jordann. She was very helpful getting us started and explained to us how everything worked. The website is easy to use. You get to choose music from there list or you can provide a CD or MP3 with music of your choice. We had a New Orleans/​Puertorrican themed wedding. Our music list was all over the place. Once we got closer to our wedding, Matthew the DJ who handled our ceremony and reception called us and went through our web page from there website. Knowing that he was on the same page as we were made us feel more at ease. On top of having a great DJ we also added for a small price a photo booth. All our guests loved it and so did we. Such a great idea. Our wedding went amazing and smooth. Our DJ worked really well with the venue and our time-​line. I would highly recommend Complete Music for any event. Complete Music was great to work with! My venue, Vista West Ranch, assigned them to me a couple of months before our wedding. I was immediately contacted and asked to fill out a form that had me to list all of the important songs that I wanted them to play– from the processional, to the first dance to the cake cutting, etc. It really helped me figure out exactly what we wanted them to play during those important moments. As it got closer to our wedding we were contacted by our actual DJ Joey. He followed up on the form that I had previously filled out and asked me to go over the other type of music that I wanted him to play. Since I couldn’t decide exactly which songs I wanted him to play he asked me to send him a list of songs/​artists that we loved and had me break it down into songs to play before the ceremony, during the cocktail hour, during dinner and then for dancing. We were very happy with the way our music turned out. Joey did a great job of reading the crowd!!! The only thing that went wrong was our officiant’s microphone was a little scratchy during the ceremony. I would suggest if that happens in the future to just turn the microphone off versus keeping it on and having the scratchy noise continue. Joey and Complete Music would wonderful for us to work with! I would highly recommend working with them if you are looking for a DJ who is flexible and willing to tailor your music to exactly what you want! I have worked with Complete Music several times for events and fundraisers even my Son’s end of school year party. I have always been impressed with them. Last night I hired them for my son’s school fundraiser, Jordon in the office is always amazing to work with and was very accommodating. Jonathan the DJ was timely, went above and beyond and his music kept the party going. I know they have so much more to offer than DJ’s, and plan on using them when I can. I really appreciate your willingness to always make it happen. Thanks again.

Complete Music RUINED MY WEDDING!!! This was the WORST DJ service EVER. My wedding was held at the Vintage Villas last week and I had no choice to go with their preferred DJ service which is Complete Music otherwise they’d charge me $ 500 to go with someone else. That’s NOT much of a choice is it. Anyway, I logged in and spent about 2 hours on the event planner page. Then one month before the wedding I could not logged on to update it anymore. I called Scott the manager and he said he fixed it but when I tried to get back on it still wouldn’t let me. I then met with the DJ, Dustin, to go over the details. I told him about the site and he said he’s tell Scott to fix it and the he’ll get the event plan from him as well. At this point I was pretty busy with other wedding details so I didn’t follow up thinking that they’d just do their job correctly since they are supposedly the #1 DJ service. Dustin literally RUINED my wedding. I paid complete music $ 900 to come and ruin my wedding. Dustin’s ONLY job is to play the correct song at the correct time but he didn’t do any of it. We had a special exit song that we wanted played but he played the wrong song at first and made me and my guest wait an extra 15 minutes in the scorching heat (110 degrees that day). Then he yelled across the ceremony asking what song I wanted to be played. I responded with the song title and artist and he continued to play the wrong song. Then I was fed up of waiting and I felt bad for my guests and told him to just play any song. Afterwards he said that he had the song but it wouldn’t play. If this was truly the case then he wouldn’t have yelled across asking us what song we wanted played. Side note, I called him that morning to ask him if he knew the song and that I wanted the first 40 seconds looped and he said he got it. He was suppose to be there 2 hours before the ceremony to set up and if he tried it and it didn’t work he should have contacted me or someone from the wedding and then we could have helped him correct it but he did not do that. To make things worst he messed up everything else through out the night. It was clear that he did not read the event planner that took me two hours to fill out. He didn’t get any of the titles for my wedding party announcement correct. He didn’t control the crowd properly and he didn’t even mix the songs through out the night. He was missing from his booth the majority of the time and my husband caught him crying outside for a part of the night. He got the order of the dances wrong, and played our first dance song without notice and so we started late. He didn’t play any music during the garter toss and my husband had to stand there like an idiot without any music. EVERYONE at my wedding complained to me about this guy and said that it was the WORST part of my wedding. I am really angry and I can never get my day back. Overall, they were the WORST DJ service I have ever experienced. If I wanted some one to ruin my wedding I had plenty of people that would come and do it for free. In the end my relentless complaining got me $ 450 back but know that I paid $ 450 to these people pains me. If I had to do it all over again I’d pay the extra $ 500 to hire my own people that I KNOW would do a great job. I am still ANGRY and BITTER because they didn’t give me a full refund which I believe was totally warranted.

I’m not even the bride or the groom, just one of the bridesmaids, but I had to write a review so that others would know this business is completely unprofessional and incompetent. It seems that if your sole service is to provide music for an event, then a business could at least follow through on playing the correct music on queue.
Imagine the surprise the bridal party experienced during the ceremony recessional when the DJ did not play the correct song. It was so awkward standing there looking at the DJ as he continued to fumble around with finding the correct song (played the wrong song 3Xs) and then him screaming across asking «what song was it again?». We were standing there for quite a while (my guess was that he was trying to download it from iTunes) before the bride finally had to scream across her guests during the wedding ceremony «just play a song!». Seriously? How many events have they DJed?
Also this guy was standing around the dance floor and didn’t even play a song during the garter toss. When my friend finally asked him to play something, or at least sing something he replied with, «sorry I don’t do that». Apparently he doesn’t play music either.
This business evidently does not know what they are doing. Others should steer clear and be warned.

The event center that hosted my wedding recommended Complete Music & Video, and I chose to go with them. Overall, I was pleased with the company itself. Tara was very friend and responsive to my inquiries. My only complaint with the company would be that we weren’t allowed to use the «Standard DJ Package» at our particular location, which is kind of lame because the package the we were forced to go with was $ 300 more for almost the same thing.
We were very dissatisfied with the DJ himself unfortunately, which is the primary reason for the two star review. He was very difficult to meet up with in person. He cancelled the first meeting we scheduled last minute, and recommended that we just meet over Skype instead. He was then unresponsive to our emails. When we finally got him to meet up with us in person, we gave him a list of songs we wanted played at specific times and a CD with all the songs on it. On the day of the wedding, he played all the correct songs during the ceremony and during dinner — that part was great. During the rest of the reception though, he failed to play a single song correctly. When we talked to him, we found out that he didn’t bring a vast majority of the songs on the list that we’d given him. He didn’t play the right song during our entrance, the bouquet toss, the garter toss, the cake cutting, or for our last song. He played all the typical cheesy songs for these instead. This was a huge disappointment to us. I will say that our guests all liked the music. He kept with the flow of the event going well, and we did get some compliments on that.
I wouldn’t recommend Complete Music & Video, unless you’re very careful about which DJ you select. If you don’t get a good vibe from him early on, tell CM&V you’d like to go with someone else.

I received this company’s name from my wedding coordinator @ Barton Creek Resort. I saw great reviews online and testimonials on their website, so I was sold. I wanted someone who had a great reputation and had no delivery problems. I got exactly what I wanted. They have this great online planning website where you can slowly put in your event schedule, likes, dislikes, etc. They also ask you to provide information about your DJ — what you would like him/​her to wear, their style, how interactive they are… our DJ was amazing and we had so much fun at our wedding reception. Definitely would recommend them for your event!
