History

Established in 2006.

Handy1 started in 2006.

In 2007 Handy1 was organized as a LLC and it’s certificate of organization was issued by the State Corporation Commission.

In April of 2008 Handy1 LLC was issued a Class A Building (BLD) Contractor License by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In 2013 Handy1 LLC added Electrical (ELE) and Plumbing (PLB) to it’s Contractor License in addition to BLD.

Meet the Manager

Mel H.

Manager

Mel H is a construction professional with more than 25 years of construction experience in multiple trades, working on various projects in the Washington DC metropolitan area. His knowledge, expertise and experience makes Handy1 LLC a better place.

Mel began; in the construction business, at an early age, working in his uncle’s flooring business and later in his father’s construction company, building and remodeling single family residential homes.

In addition to being a builder, Mel is also a licensed master electrician and a licensed master plumber. He holds a universal CFC certificate as well as a lead renovation certificate. He also has earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry.
