Auto Star Auto Body

I did a little damage to the side of the family van and planned on fixing it out-​of-​pocket. We got 3 quotes, starting with Auto Star. The quote was reasonable and the work could be done in a couple days. The second place (recommended by a friend) was really nice with a great waiting room and a lot of people there just doing quotes. My jaw dropped when I read it– it was double Auto Star and she kept going on and on about the extensive damage (in fact, I even asked if they looked at the right vehicle) — and it would take at least 2 weeks to fix. For the 3^rd place, I made the mistake of telling them what what my other two quotes were– and he just *happened* to come in right below Auto Star but stressed the point that it most likely would go up due to the «hidden extensive damage», and it would take them 10 days. For goodness sakes people, I bumped a pole and they were acting like I had been T-​boned by a semi!
So, we went with Auto Star and it was done exactly as promised. There was some confusion as to when I was picking up the vehicle that was a little annoying– but when all was said and done, the quote was accurate, I didn’t feel like I was ever being cheated, and our van looks perfect. It was nice to pay for autobody work, not the expensive waiting room and overhead; if we ever need autobody work done again (I hope not), I will just go here instead of running all over getting quotes.

I had my car body repaired here after some did a hit & run swipe to my front bumper and side. I did a fair amount of research into various body shops and MIke, the manager, was especially responsive. When I got to the shop, the staff was also friendly. In general customer service was great, estimates were honest, and timeline met. They did a great job on my car, and I recommend this shop to anyone!

After a long search and contact on Unilocal,I came across Auto Star Auto Body with all of these great reviews! We had extensive damage done to our 2003 Nissan Murano made by scratching against a concrete garage. Upon contact via Unilocal,Mike responded promptly, professionally, and politely which led us to choose Auto Star Auto Body. Without any reservations we brought the car in on the next day for an estimate. The estimate was fair, the car would be finished punctually (in 2 – 3 days), and customer service was excellent! We felt like we were leaving our car in excellent hands. Auto Star Auto Body delivered the car looking brand new! Mike did a walk through to review all of the work done and made sure we were satisfied. The car was also sparkly clean on delivery. I highly recommend this body shop for great customer service, professional work, and reasonable pricing! Thank you for doing such an excellent job! Mission accomplished.

I wanted to share my experience with Auto Star and also Mike Balian, whom I believe is the shop manager. I hit a deer on my way home from BWI airport and took my car to Progressive to file the claim. The Progressive agent stated that the car would be repaired by a shop that they frequently work with and that it may be 5 – 7 business days before the car was returned to me. Additionally, the Progressive location was in Alexandria which is a bit of a distance from my home. I decided to check Unilocal for shops closer to me and came across Auto Star. After reading the three reviews (2 positive, 1 a bit suspect as «lier» and «hussler» were used in the review, whatever those mean. Haha) I asked the Progressive agent if he had ever heard of Auto Star. He stated that he’s been working in this territory for quite some time and that he’d worked with Auto Star a lot at the previous insurance company he worked for. He said he knew Mike and that the shop does good work. That was enough for me to further discredit the «review» posted by Assraf and pay them a visit. As soon as I began speaking with Mike, he noticed some damage from the deer that was not identified by Progressive and said he’d work with Progressive to get them to cover the damage that was directly attributable to the incident. I was grateful for that offer as I don’t have the time nor the knowhow to argue with the insurance company over damages. Mike described to me exactly what the repairs would entail, what the price would be, and what he’d further fight for Progressive to cover. He also stated, that they’d do their best to take care of any minor blemishes not associated with the incident as they’d already have the car in the paint booth. A few days elapsed and even though the Progressive agent was dragging his feet, Mike got the additional bumper damage and tire rub covered! I was extremely pleased with this. When I picked up the car, it looked wonderful. Auto Star and Mike B. exceeded my expectations by far in every aspect. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will be taking any future body work needs to them! Thanks!!!

Mike and his team did a great job on my 2004 Honda Pilot. My car looks like new! They even washed it. Even little extras mean a lot when it comes to customer service. Auto Star was first on the list my insurance company provided me and the ins. company guarantees their work for as long as I own my car. Nice. I called Mike and asked some questions; based on how nice, polite, and helpful he was, I chose them to do my repair with no reservations. They delivered — great service, excellent work, and I’m so happy to have my car back! I love that they work with you to pay your deductible — definitely ask about that feature. Saved me quite a few $$$. I will recommend Auto Star to everyone!
