Great group of barber’s here. Straight up fades any way you like for ten bucks including a razor clean up. Been going to see Nino for 5 years. Always takes his time never rushes. Highly recommend. Peak times busy. Off hours you sit right down.

Ive been coming to this location since they opened, and to their other shop when they worked there. I regularly see Mike and my friends see Ben. They do great work and its the only place I go to get a hair cut.

Awesome place to get a fad hair cut. I am a walk in most of the time and I get almost immediate service. Definitely a five star place. Sped Man

Only place I go to. I drive all the way from the suburbs to get my haircut here. Always a clean cut.

My boyfriend got a $ 10 cut and man it shows. This place delivered the shortest and ugliest bowl cut. Had I been there I would have refused to pay altogether. I’m shocked he let anyone butcher his beautiful hair so badly and that anyone would have cut it so poorly. If the owner’s Magic Jack phone number worked I’d have given them a piece of my mind. I’m so angry!

I’m very glad I stumbled upon this place, I was apprehensive at first but then it subsided. I was a bit disappointed to find out they don’t take credit cards and I had to go to the local ATM but once I got back the service was prompt and courteous. Mike was very professional and more importantly listened to how I wanted my hair cut. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve requested my hair to be cut a certain way and not gotten the results I expected. I feel that I couldn’t have gotten a better hair cut and what’s more important I didn’t have to pay 20 $ for it. What I did do though was pay the 10.00 and tipped mike the extra 5 for a job well done. I will be definitely keep coming back and I highly recommend it.

Came in for a fade and they did a nice job. There was about 3 people inside when I got there, but the wait was minimal. Was in and out in about 20 minutes. The haircut itself took about 10 minutes. One of my new favorite place to get faded. I just wish it was a bit closer to where I live. The staff is very nice and friendly. There are ton of free parking spots outside, which makes it even that much better. Haircut at a reasonable price as well! Can’t ask for more… Will definitely come back here in the future.

Good place to get a fade, the barbers are real nice and it’s a fair deal.

I’ve been getting my haircuts here for a while. I’m not the usual person who get’s haircuts, but this place makes me feel comfortable and welcome. The stylists here(my favorite being Michael) take their time to provide customer satisfaction. A+++++++ service

I can honestly tell you as a father and neighbor that your perfectly safe here to get a haircut with your family. These folks are very real and sweet as you can get with your guest. I’ve traveled as a Marine and I could tell you that if your looking for a fade that’s correctly lined and cleaned then waste no more time looking… Do yourself a bigger favor? Ask for Danny?! =)

I’m dropping a star off my original review. I’m still a regular here, but I have to say — I’m really not a fan of the other customers, who tend to(at least in appearance) be of the street thug variety. Lots of straight brimmed baseball caps and giant pants. In Chicago, that’s probable cause. I don’t think the guys who run it are up to anything — they still do a great job, and they seem somewhere between annoyed and resigned to their clientele. I do worry a little bit about taking my kid here on a Saturday. Last think I need to hear is him calling all women«beeetch» and all men«brohhhhh.»

this used to be good until some of their barbers left to start their own salons. Now they are understaffed and rush every haircut. Also, you can be in the waiting area waiting for your turn and be bumped when the barber’s acquaintances walk in. That’s pretty bad business imo.

This place does pretty decent haircuts for the fellas… They get(-) 2 stars because 1. I went in for a simple blow dry style and the owner(sam) couldn’t even do it.(ugh. Men!!!) and 2. Because he comes off as a creepy pervert. Other than that the staff is friendy and the ladies do an ok job on the eyebrows :)

I’ll never go there again. They messed up my hair and didn’t even do my lining right. DON’T GOTHERE!

I used to frequent«The Cut» on irving park and central until i decided to find a place closer to home. I heard of this place and my first time last week was a great surprise. The prices are unbeatable at 8 dollars a hair cut, as i used to pay 15 dollars per. The staff is very friendly and take their time making sure you are good to go from all angles before you get off the chair. This is my new choice for a barbershop from here on out!

Xtreme is a great barbershop. Couple things stand out here: — Prices are very reasonable(currently $ 8/cut). — Mike, Ben, and their other co-workers are the utmost professionals. — And most important, your hair will come out right! This is definitely the place if you’re looking for someone to cut your hair right.

i was going to do a review for hadis fade, but realized that their best barbers(ben and mike) went to this place and charge 2 dollars less. for $ 8 u get a good haircut and excellent customer service. mike and ben aren’t satisfied until you are. ive had different haircuts over the years and they have gotten it right every single time. this place might be smaller than hadis’ but it’s worth it and is never really packed(just make sure you don’t go during obvious peak hours). street parking is available. bar none best haircut value in the north side. tell them i sent you. i’m one of their oldest customers.

Definitely a top-notch barber shop. Mike has been cutting my hair for almost 5 years now, and I’ve never been disappointed. They only charge $ 8 per cut, while the local comp charges at least $ 10 or more. Give them a try, you won’t be let down.

Ok, so this place is hands down the best barbershop on the north side. I was a regular customer at another barbershop in the area until my barber and his buddy moved to Hair Xtreme. Go to this place and see Ben or Mike. You’ll get the best haircut at the best price. The guys are SUPER nice and give the most unbelievable haircuts. Their competition charges $ 10 for a haircut… these guys only charge $ 8. So save some money… and go get your hair cut!
