Glasshopper Mobile Glass Service

We have been using Glasshopper for all of the stores that they will cover in Southern California. Charlie and the crew have been extremely professional, efficient, and timely when taking care of any of our glass needs. I would recommend Glasshopper to anyone needing quick glass repair. They are simply they best of the 5 companies we trust with our windows.

If I could give them negative stars I would. I called for an estimate on a shower door and Mike came to the house. We decided to use them and scheduled another appointment for measuring because my husband wanted to make sure they got the angles right. The day of the appointment, my kids and I were home and suddenly Mike was in the hallway saying «HELLO!!!» He let himself in the house!
It was a bad decision, we didn’t have a shower door for a month and a half!!! It took 10 appointments to get our shower door 4 of which they never EVEN SHOWED UP for. They were very limited on their appointments and could only give us a range of times they could be here. We took many days/​hours off work and rescheduled doctor’s appointment to accommodate them. The worse part was waiting for hours FOUR TIMES with no phone call, no text and no response to our phone calls or texts.
Mike finally told us he is Charlie’s sub-​contractor. He blamed the whole scheduling thing on Charlie. He said he told Charlie he couldn’t make the appointments Charlie promised us. He even showed us some of the texts. Trying to get a hold of Charlie was a joke. He doesn’t answer the office phone, Mike refused to give us Charlie’s cell number and Charlie only responds via email. His excuses were: he has no cell phone reception and can only respond via email, he was in Florida, he was stuck in Mexico, etc.
The first install was bad because they made the door too big. Mike said it was the mfg fault… my husband looked at the spec sheet, the mfg built exactly to the measurements Mike wrote on the sheet… no door. The second install, the angle was wrong. Mike blamed it on my husband! He was the one who came and measured TWICE… no door! The third installation the door was the wrong size again. He actually blamed it on the wall this time, lol. My husband told him the wall was the same and hasn’t moved… no door! The final install, my husband pointed out that the door gets stuck on the bottom when you open and close it. Mike said that was the way it was supposed to be! Since we hadn’t paid our balance, my husband told Charlie we weren’t happy with that. Charlie told my husband he would leave a new (thinner) sweep on our front porch and we can install and try that! Thank goodness that fixed the problem. But, what kind of warranty service are we going to get if we have a defect?
During the month and a half, my husband asked Mike why it took so long for the glass to come in and why it took so long to fix minor problems. Mike said this is Charlie’s job and he is calling all the shots. He said if this was his job, it would have been done a long time ago!
I would definitely not recommend this company for their customer service, products, or sub-​contractors. We paid a lot of money ($ 1,300) for a lot of wasted time and bad customer service.
I wish I would have read their Unilocal reviews before hiring them.

The installer is nice and that is all that can be said. I called on a Wednesday and I was told I would be the first stop on the following Monday. I was told I the installer would arrive between 8−9AM. I called at 9 AM and left two messages. Finally the installer called me a said there was a scheduled mess up.
Installer shows up and ends up breaking one of the panes that was to be installed. He did have enough glass on hand to finish the job. We scheduled to have the second glass replaced the following morning first thing.
I called again Tuesday morning and the installer told me that he totally spaced and was headed out of the area. We scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. No show. We scheduled for Friday morning because the installer told me that he was wide open. No show on Friday morning. I called and he said he couldn’t get out of the shop and that he would be here for sure in the afternoon. No show again, after he texted me saying we didn’t forget about me. I ended up having to take a vacation day at work.
Avoid this service provider at all costs.

Would give them a 4 stars for good work and the guy was really nice but dont expect them to come on time. We had a couple of appointments with them, 2 times they had to reschedule, and when the guy finally came the first time he was 3 hours late and the second time he came in record time… only 28 minutes late.
