We been coming here for over 15 years. We live in Riverside and every time we come to San Diego we have to eat here. A business that has around for that long is doing something right.

There’s nothing like this place in riverside Waba grill, flame broiler don’t compare because they’re different. This is one of the places other wing n things that I missed but now we have a wings n thing. Just missing this place wish we had one in the inland empire.

I have been coming here for several years now, my favorite place for a late night dinner, I do get tires of eating it though. But love the food.

Food is always good here. All the meals are great tasting and healthy. Not greasy. The marinated ginger gives a good taste to thier food as well.

Can’t… Stop… EATING! This place very much a tasteful surprise. Definitely qualifies as a «teriyaki joint.» REVIEW: Food — A taste sensation with flavor to spare! Price — Cheap. Pocket change. Woof Woof Meow. Personal Problem — Addicted… I live in University Heights and STILL drive down for this spot. Perhaps I’m just that lame, buuuut I doubt it :). Try it out! You’ll be impressed. For the business: I recommend revamping the atmosphere to a post-modern, minimalist look with a small hipster twist(not a dance move, however it should be). Study the people in your neighborhood and craft the place to build attraction and appreciation. Satisfied customers make that best marketing team. Best of luck!

Great overall service, good food never any complaints about anything. Me and my gf frequent this place when we want something healthy. can’t go wrong with the chicken teriyaki bowl for under $ 5.decided to go for seconds today given the fact I hadn’t eaten all after I devoured my teriyaki bowl without hesitation I quickly ordered one of there signifies gourmet wraps. i scrolled thru the menu and quickly took interest in their Baja chicken wrap for $ 5.49.I ordered and within minutes it was ready. I unwrapped the foil to find Humongous beast of a wheat flour first bite was into leaves of lettuce surrounded by rice tomatoes and chicken with a hint of sour cream and best of all… AVOCADOS…will definitely be trying out there other wraps… thanks.

I just had lunch at Mrs. Rice. Everyone was polite and very helpful in what was suggested on there menu to eat. I decided to have the spicy thai chicken wrap #17. It was a great recommendation and it was very filling and just the right amount of spice.

HORRIBLESERVICE! I WASYELLEDATBYOWNERFORRETURNINGLOWQUALITYFOOD! CASHIERINSULTEDMYMOMINFRONTOFCUSTOMERS! I have been going to this place for 20 years, but today was the last time. After receiving a poor quality wrap food today, I decided to exchange it. After letting the cashier know about what I wanted, she began to tell at my mother; she began to tell her she was tired of her bringing problems. The only other time we had complained was when he had found a hair inside one of their chicken bowls. The cashier continued insulting my mother in front of customers and explaining to them what was going on! After what happened I decided to speak to the owner who was present and heard everything that had happened. I thought he would be more understanding, but I was mistaken. After telling him that today we had received the worst customer service ever and that I wanted to return my food, he said he would gladly do it and that he never wanted to see me or my family again. He went to the register and handed me my money. He then told me «Please tell the rest of your family I never want them here again.» He told me that he doesn’t want anyone returning his food. He continued saying that he will not change anything about his business and customer service and if I don’t like it to go elsewhere. His wife is the same way and have insulted us in the past, but this was the worst.
I never thought I would get mistreated at a place I have been eating at for so long, but I did. I will definitely never come back here.

I have been coming here and always like the food. I don’t know if anything changed or what happened. I bought the chicken platter & the chicken was burned and it did not taste fresh. I was so hungry and now disappointed because I couldn’t eat this.

How sad. The sounds of food cooking in the kitchen obviously some sound track. There’s nothing fresh cooked about the teriyaki chicken bowl. Peer into the kitchen and you’ll see piles of veges and other ingredients waiting to be warmed up and dumped in a bowl. No teriyaki was harmed during the preparation of my meal. Brown colored water only and tap water at that poured over some medium tough and grisly chicken bites. The rice was one big wet blob and obviously had been improperly stored since being cooked a few days ago. Veges were ok but clearly not«fresh.» Came from a freezer bag it would seem. Nearly $ 7 for a teriyaki chicken bowl and medium soda? You can get better teriyakai across the parking lot at Jack in the box, and for much less. Mrs. Rice also needs to pay more attention to the soda machine. No gas, no flavor, trying to go cheap on the syrup or something. My last experience with Mrs. Rice was a little better, but not much. Poor quality, high prices, scary neighborhood. I wonder if these factors had anything to do with the Claremont Mesa Mrs. Rice being closed? Good riddance. Also want to be very careful eating here, lots of homeless camping out in the parking lot including at least one female high on drugs and or with severe mental problems screaming at the top of her lungs and throwing shopping carts and rocks. Not a family friendly neighborhood.

Love the teriyaki chicken bowls. The price and quality that you get is always amazing. The only negatives here is that the new asian cashier is very rude and impolite. Sometimes the consistency of the food is not always the same… meaning if you go at a slow time sometimes the food seems as it has been sitting there for awhile.

I really hate when I can’t decide what I want to eat and I have to make quick decision before I continue driving for miles and end up nowhere near a restaurant. So, I pulled in to this plaza court and I defiantly didn’t want KFC or a fruit salad so I figured I’d give this place a try. Upon entering, I didn’t like the atmosphere. The walls were to white, the A/C was too high and all the interior was outdated which made me feel like I was stuck in the past. I ordered a steak burrito which included steak meat, white rice, lettuce and salsa. It was a nice size burrito but the moment I got my food the tortilla was already cold. I was really upset. The cooks didn’t even know how to wrap the burrito because after the second bite, the burrito fell apart. Now I was really pistoff. There isn’t anything worse than for a Mexicans burrito to fall apart. The meat was good but everything else was just plain, no flavor and cold. I don’t think I will be coming here again unless by some magical reason a friend wants to come here and decides to pay for my meal.

Simple and quick. The menu is not extensive, but the staples are represented: beef, chicken, pork with sides of vegetables & rice. Various combos of the meats fill out the menu. I usually opt for a #1, the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl for under $ 4(or upsize to a Platter) and a refillable iced tea or soda. Cards accepted with a $ 5 min. then a very, very short wait. I can count on my order being ready by the time I fill my soda cup. For reals, yo! I’ve been to other«simple» menu places, but nobody comes close to the speed these guys turn your order. Steaming hot, but the flavor is pretty mild. A splash of soy usually does the trick. The meats seem to be the better cuts and pretty lean. The veggies are steamed to perfection with good firmness and color. My only gripe is the bowls are a little tight, the meat and veggies sit on top of a bed of rice. I gotta dig down to get the proper meat-to-rice ratio and it completely ruins the presentation. But, I love the challenge!

A good standby for when you’re hungry in Chula Vista. Love the teriyaki chicken bowl. A bit bland on its own, but they provide a chili sauce, pickled ginger, and all the lemon you could want. The chicken pieces are usually good, no gristle. Plenty of steamed veggies too. The price is low. At many other local rice bowl joints, the bowls are mostly rice with a little bit of veggies and meat. NOT the case at Mrs. Rice’s: You can have plenty of veggies and meat in every bite with these rice bowls.
