I love this place! Their apple fritters are big and have lots of apple pieces and they are big! I’ve had their bear claws which have lots of Apple filling with lots of Apple pieces. Their glazed twists are yummy too! Breakfast is fast and delicious. I had their egg, turkey and cheese croissant. The croissant was warm and flaky and light. It’s a great breakfast sandwich for $ 3.59. You can’t go wrong with either sandwiches or donuts. I’ll definitely go back and eat a breakfast sandwich and have a apple fritter for dessert.

It’s very weird but like a previous Unilocaler, I always try to stop by this donut shop if/when I am in the area. It might look like a random neighborhood donut shop but they sure do know how to make donuts. I always get a dozen of their regular glazed donut holes. These donut holes always tastes perfect. I can’t explain it but it’s consistent the way they make their donuts: the perfect amount of sweetness combined with perfect donut hole softness.

Good donuts, and regular run of the mill pastries. But they make a dozen mocha blended drink, kinda like a drop minus the oily greasy residue of Starbucks. Definitely must try

This place makes some pretty good doughnuts and they also make smoothies and muffins. I tried the cinnamon roll for a dollar and some change. It was of good size and came with a nice glazing of sugar on top( ). The cinnamon roll was very moist, fluffy, and with just the right amount of cinnamon flavor. Also, combined with the sugary crust, made for great eating( ). Just wish I had a tall ice cold glass of low fat milk. They carry pretty much all the typical doughnuts( ). I did not see any cronuts, but it does not mean they make them. The shop was very clean and organized. Service was a little reserved, meaning there was not much conversation nor smiles. 3.5 stars…

Great donuts and coffee! The guy working was very helpful in finding the right donut. Also, 12 donut holes for a dollar! Yes!

Love this place, great selection of donuts. Highly recommend the cinnamon and white powdered donuts. Been here twice and the donuts were always fresh and tasty. The establishment was clean and the service friendly.

I seriously don’t get how this place can get five stars. The good things about this place are 1) it’s clean and 2) there is an assortment of Torani syrups for your coffee concocting pleasure. That’s it. The negative things? The donuts are WAY undercooked. I like a bit of a crispness when I bite into a donut. This was just… gooey dough throughout. Nasty. Even the apple fritter was yuck. The coffee is mediocre at best. I normally like my coffee the way I like my men… strong. This was brown, flavorless water. I definitely was«Jacked» here.
Side note: ATM inside Jack’s is broken, but the bottle shop in the strip mall will give you cash back with a purchase for a $ 2 fee.

The donuts here are really good and tasty. Everything is nice and fresh and they make them throughout the day. They’re even open late. I like the apple fritters, they are nice and big with chunks of apple and a little crispness to them. Oh makes my mouth water just thinking about it. They could be a little bit more friendly here, other than that it’s a good place for a sweet tooth fix. Bring cash here as it’s a cash only place. They do not accept credit or debit cards, but they do have an ATM machine inside.

I had a sweet tooth this morning and thought why not I see this place all the time and I thought I would give it a shot. I came on a typical Friday morning at 6:00am to get a fresh dozen batch. Upon entering there was a group of old men having coffee and donuts so it was a tall-tell sign it was going to be at least half-decent. Which indeed it was more than half decent… everything was so fresh… and fluffy. The good kind of fluffy… so good that it makes you feel guilty that it will go straight to your butt with each bite of chocolate and cinnamon goodness. It had all the donuts prepared! except for the glazed circle ones… NOoooooooooooooo… I love the glazed circle donuts… But the glazed twists were ready for picking so i forgave them… this time.(dun dun dun) At the end all be all the lady patient enough and nice to give me a 2 freebie donuts which were fresh too. A Grand total of 14 donuts for 7 $ decent indeed in these inflated times.

Since moving to the west side of Chula Vista, we had to find a donut shop closer than Yum Yum on Telegraph Canyon Rd. These donuts are like a bad habit! We’d usually get a dozen consisting of glazed twists and chocolate bars. The donuts are so light, airy and not too sweet, which is good. This satisfies the sweet tooth craving :) And with a half dozen/dozen, you get a free donut!

For my Bön Voyage to the rollercoaster of what was 2008, I’ve opted to review one of my childhood enjoyments that I had & still share with Pop Dukes. The pleasure of chomping on some donuts. There’s nothing like my Dad reminding me of what the simple things in life are made of– memories of Pop Dukes coming home from work with a dozen donuts & us kids jumping on him like monkeys to grab our fav…*aahh* those times when there were no worries about financial crisis’ or how are we gonna make this dollar stretch. We were just worried about getting that tall glass of cold milk to partner up with our glazed twisty. Jack’s Donuts is your quintessential Mom & Pops spot that still makes stellar fried yummy, happy-fillin’ circles o’dough. I’m not sure if the owners have remained the same, what I *do* know is the flavor & quality remain consistently PHENOMENAL. When in San Dawg, you should check them out. *oh* & don’t let the Vets-on-Wheels Gang scare ya… they’ mean no harm– they’re just some Vets getting together for some good convo amongst themselves over some mighty-find tasting Apple Fritters.
