Food is very good but they’re closed on Tuesdays? Can’t understand them through the phone and sometimes they can be rude but other than that the food is really good and is very affordable, I would recommend this to friends and family

The food was good I came in about a year ago I got the lunch special. For the price it’s not bad … Only been here once maybe I give it a try again soon I tried that curry chicken but I think I’ve received a lot more vegetables than the chicken. And the vegetables are a good size the chicken was tiny bits of it I am sure you can see the pic.

We found this place a several of months ago when we moved to the east side of Chula Vista. Our first experience was take-out — it was pretty good, we made a note of it. Next time we went got into the restaurant. Not necessarily what one would expect, but good experience. Service was prompt and pleasant. Food fresh, made to order and good portions. My son especially likes the Salted Chicken Wings and I am partial to the Chow Mien This last time we called in the order(posted photos) and are pleased with the portions, taste and service at this place pretty good.

I’ve been a customer here since they opened. My family and I have always loved the place. I fondly remember the days of inhaling 1 dollar rice plates with my fellow Eastlake Titans. Goodtimes. First off, Panda Chef is consistently one of the fastest deliveries in the Eastlake area. Like I previously mentioned, I have been a customer since the 1990’s, and every time I order in they have arrived with the food CRAZYFAST. It’s super clutch when you’re hungry and too lazy to get your butt off the sofa. The food and menu is run of the mill Chinese American. However, the honey walnut shrimp, fried rice, and egg drop soup are some of my favorites from their kitchen. The Salt and Pepper wings are decent as well, but they get extra props for being the only place I’ve ever seen to have enough sense to poke holes in the container they place the wings in for delivery so they don’t get soggy on the way. Brilliant! This place gets my highest praise. It is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Eastlake, and I am extremely happy it has survived all these years. Give it a try

This place is pretty good, also it delivers. Food was pretty good and the delivery didn’t take to long. The only thing I didn’t like was the service.

This place is great. I called in for delivery and within 30 minutes our food was here. The lady that took my order was so nice and ended up being the one that delivered our food. The chow fun was amazing(I added mushrooms and bean sprouts) and the peppered beef was delicious and of course I had to order the chicken wings that everyone was raving about and the reviews were 100% accurate(bomb wings). I highly recommend this place. Enjoy:)

This place is awesome. The food is really good. Portions are very generous. The price is killer too. And if you think that’s the best part wait. Delivery is extremely fast in Eastlake. I place my order today at 11:06 and was eating at 11:28. Best cream cheese wontons in the business.

Worst costumer service, in the city! The food is awful. Won’t return, by the way what the heck are all of you 4 and 5 starts thinking, let alone eating! It surely isn’t near great more like a waste of money! Won’t ever return, ever! Yuk! All dishes were tasteless and greasy! Plus if ask for a receipt it’s my right to have one, do not argue with me and say we don’t print receipts uh it’s kind of a rule to offer them to your guests. Wonder what the IRS would think. Awful just awful!

It has been exactly 5 years since I left my last review for Panda Chef so to celebrate, today I went and got some Salt + Pepper Wings, with fried rice, an eggroll, and a cream cheese rangoon. Came to 8 dollars. Delicious. This place makes the only eggroll I have ever been able to eat without spitting out. Additionally, although not the absolute best Salt + Pepper wings I have ever had, they are still pretty good. I get why someone would not want to give this place 5 stars if they were comparing it to say, P.F. Changs or something. But when compared to Panda Express, I think Panda Chef is routinely better since, I have never had any chicken here that tasted like it was reheated and stale like I have at Panda Express. So for me, when compared to Panda Express, yeah Panda Express has better orange chicken. That is their specialty, it is what their entire business is based on. But eggrolls, cream cheese wontons, Salt + Pepper Wings which Panda Express doesn’t have… that all goes to Panda Chef. Plus, the people at Panda Chef have always been super friendly to me every time I have gone there, my order is always ready in less than five minutes, and I like supporting a local business over a mega chain corporate conglomerate. After 5 years I am happy to say I still love this place and once again give it 5 stars based on the price point, speed of service, friendliness, taste, and serving size. Good job Panda Chef, you’re still great.

First of all, «I like the food; I like the prices!» Second, I always order my favorite Chinese Chicken Wings(no MSG) with fried rice along with two egg rolls lunch especial! Third, as I write this, I’m thinking of the great and late Uncle Benny(Kim Chan) from Lethal Weapon 4 when he says«Flied Lice.» I dunno why? He also played in The Fifth Element as the proprietor of a flying Chinese boat restaurant, Mr. Kim. He was an awesome character actor! ~Deuce out!

My husband and I are not fans of this place. While we did like that it delivered, neither one of us was impressed by our meals. We have tried several local Chinese restaurants and have not been happy with any of them. I like to try places that are not associated with chains, but I have to say that, so far, a chain is my favorite.

Ordered food last night and had it delivered because the work day was just exhausting. I work in the office and this delivery guy would ask for directions to an apartment carrying bags of Chinese food. It smelled so yummy I had to order some! First off, I didn’t know we had Chinese food delivery here in the suburbs and second, I didn’t realize we had an award winning restaurant here in the city about 9 minutes away! Score big for me tonight because my family of picky eaters loved it. I’d order food again if we didn’t have left overs. Oh and order the salted pepper chicken wings… Not too salty at all and super crispy! Very lightly breaded so you’re actually eating chicken meat!

Still love Panda Chef! I haven’t ventured out much to new dishes. Still the pineapple chicken and soft noodles but I’ve added the broccoli beef(which is amazing too. Very flavorful) The ladies behind the counter are always nice but they’re extremely busy with the phone and completing orders so chit chatting is never an option. My order always comes out super quick and piping hot.

Pros: 1. Only Chinese place that delivers to my area(91915 zip) which is awesome because… 2. They have really good food! I love their house chow mien personally, my girls love the sweet and sour chicken, and my mom loves broccoli beef. All plates tastes amazing every time, unlike some places where the rice or the chow mien can get dry, here it’s always flavorful! 3. I order so often that as soon as they hear my address they remember me and start being very friendly over the phone, as well as when they drop off the food! Cons: 1. Until they recognize you they can be a bit short, which is understandable since they’re super busy, but that tends to put a lot of people off. 2. Prices are a bit higher than what I would like to pay for the amount of food. Like I said though, I order A LOT, so I guess it isn’t a deal breaker, at least for me. Overall: I love Panda Chef for all my Chinese food delivery needs! I hope you guys do too!!!

Panda Chef is by far one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in San Diego. My family has been going here for about 15 years and have never had a negative experience. When you walk in you are greeted by a staff member almost immediately. If you go in frequently all you need to do is sit down, they remember your drink order, and basically what you order. Since I am a semi-regular all I need to do is say yes when she asks if I want the same thing. Takes less then 10 minutes for the Chef to whip up your order and they bring it to you hot and fresh. WARNING: the egg rolls at this place are to die for, by far my favorite. Lunch special is cheap and delicious, and the dinner is also very inexpensive. First time? These are the things to try: 1) Spicy 3 Ingredient Taste(chicken, beef, and shrimp) 2) Broccoli Beef or Chicken 3) Chow Mein Noodles 4) Orange Chicken 5) Any one of the Chef’s specialties. So go on young grasshopper and enjoy the Chinese feast.
