We provide pediatric services from birth to late adolescence. .Our pediatricians strive to building strong relationships with families and extend themselves to serve the community through education and mentoring.

At our office, we believe that raising a child is a rewarding, as well as a challenging experience. Our goal is to help you enjoy this experience and to ensure that your child’s full potential is reached.

Our services are: Well Baby Care, Immunizations, Sports and School Physicals, Same Day Appointments, In Hospital Newborn Care at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, Scripps Mercy Chula Vista and Paradise Valley Hospital.

We also offer free prenatal visits with pediatrician, lactation services and sign language classes for toddlers.

Our practice provides assistance to families that would like to apply for Healthy Families, AIM, or Medical.

History

Established in 2007.

Pediatrics in Paradise was born 5 years ago when Dr. Blanca Fresno and Dr. Mariles Valencia decided that private practice was their calling. Long time professional partners, Dr. Fresno and Dr. Valencia had worked together for many years at Paradise Family Health Center. In 2007 the health center ceased to exist and these two board-​certified pediatricians began their new life in private practice in National City by Paradise Valley Hospital.

In 2010, Pediatrics in Paradise opened a second office in Otay Ranch hoping to bring to this neighborhood the same spirit of healing and community that inspired the first pediatric office.

Currently Pediatrics in Paradise has 4 medical providers: 2 board-​certified pediatricians, one nurse practitioner and one physician assistant. Our team is committed to serve families with compassion and excellence. We hope to grow into a larger practice but always keeping the small town atmosphere that we have today.

Blanca F.

Business Owner

Born in Argentina, Dr. Fresno received her medical degree in Buenos Aires, did her residency training in Flint, Michigan and has been in San Diego since 1989. Dr. Fresno is a Board Certified pediatrician and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Fresno has been active in the South Bay community as an advocate for children’s health through her practice as a pediatrician and lectures and workshops for parents. She was also a contributor to the weekly publication Enlace with her column «Dra. de Guardia.»

As a mother of two young adults, Dr. Fresno is very aware of parent’s needs during the different stages of childhood and she is committed to teaching and empowering families to raise healthy and happy children.
