Epperly Tire & Auto Centers

I would love to give a higher rating than this because the staff is very courteous, and I think they do a good job, but I can’t. I have been a customer here several times, and every time the wait gets worse. On September 25^th, I came in for an oil change, new oil filter and tire rotation. Before I requested the service, I asked if they were really swamped. I was assured that they would be able to get to it soon, so I waited. I was there for almost four hours, and the maintenance lights in the car were still not reset as I had asked them to do.
The weather turned colder less than a month later, and the low air pressure warning light came on. I hated to go back to Epperly’s again, and my foreboding was justified. It took over two hours for them to check the air pressure in my tires and top them off. I really want to be a loyal customer to them, but I just can’t handle the long waits any longer. I hate to inconvenience my friends to give me a ride for services that are so minor, and I also hate to be without my car for so long.
Sorry Epperly’s. I have to find somewhere else.

I’m giving them a three, because I’m taking the average of my two visits there. The first being a five; the latter being a one. Today I came in at a prime time, so I expected that I’d have to wait a while to get my oil changed. When they gave me a time estimate of two hours, I agreed to it. Two hours is on the longer side of waiting for an oil change, but today was my day of errands, so I accepted and left to go walk around the stores nearby. I came back an hour later, thinking I’d only have to kill another hour before I could leave.
I was unfortunately very wrong. While I was gone for the first hour, I still ended up spending two and a half hours waiting in the shop for the car to be completed. If you’re following along, that means it took a total of three and a half hours to get my car in, lifted and the oil changed. In addition to that, their advertised price on their price board was twenty dollars less than what I had to pay for my oil change, but I guess at least they gave me $ 5 off (in addition to the $ 10 military discount). I really wanted to love Epperly, but I was thoroughly disappointed today.

Courteous helpful staff. I’ve had individual tires and entire sets of tires replaced here on all of my vehicles and have never had a bad experience. Sometimes the wait is a bit long but it’s in a heavily traffic area and is always busy.
