Update November, 2015: Went back… for the last time. Food disgusting, orders wrong, employees rude and they’re changing their menu AGAIN. We were not told this on the phone when we ordered, so the food we got this time was different from the last time, which we were not expecting. My food, in particular, was so gross looking that I pitched it before even attempting to eat it. I’m not going to go into detail, but we tried giving them another chance, since they’re under new management, but this is the last time. And to those who love green peppers? Go somewhere else, Stoney’s has taken them off the menu. I don’t know who’s running this place now, but they’re totally f***ing it up.

I use to be a fan of this place. My man, his kids and I recently visited Stoney’s. The food is good but the customer service sucks. The lady did not put double meat on our subs. She tried to cover her butt by saying the only mistake she made was over charging us. I am not stupid. That over charge covers that double meat. When I called and complained, she agreed to give us credit for them. She agreed to replace the subs. Then when it came time to pick them up she refused to do it. McDonald’s has better customer service than this. At McDonald’s they believe«the customer is always right». You will not find that at Stoney’s. Since we’re not good enough to get our food replaced, they’re not good enough to get our money.

Upon calling around, the idea of getting a $ 5.95 large 1-topping pizza in our new neighborhood seemed intriguing. Usually, the cheapest pizzas are the most tasteful and fun. Walking in, you get your ticket from the pizza counter, then have to go over to the convenience store side to pay for it. The clerk was unfriendly. Then you go back over to get your pizza from another unfriendly staff worker who barely says a word. I admit, in the truck, the pizza smelled awesome. Getting home only blocks away, the pizza was under-cooked. The cheese wasn’t melted completely, the crust was doughy, and the sausage appeared loaded onto the pizza after the pie was cooked. As a huge fan of Ohio State Pizza, I love a dive. I love a cheap, greasy pizza. But we won’t be back to Stoney’s. The pizza was as cold as the workers’ personalities. __UPDATE: Okay, shame on me. Went back. Pizza again barely cooked. My wife says the cheese is the imitation stuff. The sauce is non-existent. Horrible pizza. Will never go back. I promise.

Below average pizza, service isn’t particularly friendly.

The subs are great. The prices aren’t bad either. Also, this is the place that was on the news a few years back when someone thwarted a robbery attempt. The thief was running out the front door when a customer surprised him and hit him in the head with a sledge hammer.
