America’s Tire Store – Concord, CA

Made an appointment to fix/​replace a flat tire. They kept the appointment time and got the work done quickly.
David (I think that was his name) informed me that the tire had to be replaced (because there was a nail too far on the sidewall, which matches everything I read online before going in). David didn’t try to oversell me. I assumed if I had to replace the tire that I would have to replace at least a matching pair, but David explained that since they had a tire from the same manufacturer with the same tread pattern, that wasn’t necessary. So I bought just one tire.
Furthermore, since I had bought the previous tire from them, and it still had a fair amount of tread left, they gave me a discount toward the new tire (of about half the price, I think).
If I had bought road hazard protection from them, the new tire would have been free. But I hadn’t. I still don’t think in the long run it makes sense to pay for that (only two or maybe three nails in tires in my perhaps 500K miles of driving in my life), but I just thought I’d mention this. So I went without the road hazard protection on the new tire…

This was by far the best experience I have ever, having to do with vehicle maintenance. Ask for Mitch, he was very helpful.

Got a quote for 3 different places to have my tire sensor replaced and America’s Tires had the best price plus they were recommended by my cousin! Appt at 945am and was out by 1020am when they quoted me an hour. Excellent customer service, friendly and great price!

Had a screw in my nail, called same day and got an appointment within 20 mins, Overall, it was a great experience. Nick was awesome, very friendly and super helpful.
There is one issue that I had that is preventing this location from being 5-​stars.
When I called, I asked if they had my specific tire, as it is pretty rare. They said yes, they had one left and they would hold it for me. Cool! So I go, get it changed (ALWAYS get the warranty people. Instead of $ 124, it costed me $ 12.25 for a brand new tire since I had a warranty on it.)
I go home, and this was partially my fault, but I didn’t check the tire. It was the same size, however, it was not the same brand. Honestly, I don’t want to drive a car that doesn’t have the same brand tires. You can tell the difference while driving, too.
So I called and complained about the situation. It shouldn’t have happened. They orderd me the right tire from Texas and called me when it came in which was one or two days later and changed it for free.
They were apologetic and sincere, so I’ll come back to this location in the future.

Got my special tires in which were not only on sale BUT theres a $ 70 rebate! Run flats are NOT cheap but every bit helps.
They got my sweet ride in and out.

Long story short, my wife took our Honda Ridgeline to Honda El Cerrito for an oil change & tire rotation, they couldn’t get the wheel locks off, other lugs were taken off. They said it was over torqued. Told them that Concord Honda did our last tire rotation. No one took accountability. Took it to the professionals (America’s Tires), and Juwan check it out and found out 3 of the 5 lugs on the passenger rear tire were damaged and not operating. It was downright unsafe! For Honda of El Cerrito to release a vehicle to my wife that was unsafe is dispicable! That explains the vibration on the steering wheel lately! Juwan was able to retread the studs and will be good to go for now. He did strongly recommend to us to get this studs replaced. They did that at no cost, even though the tires where not purchased from them. We have all our other cars with Am Tires & when our truck will need new tires, guess where we will be heading back to? David and Juwan were awesome! Great customer service, friendly and helpful. Kudos to America’s Tire, you guys save the day once again!

Ugh, tires. Why are shoes for your car so damn expensive?
Regardless, America’s Tire is where I’ll go if I need new tires. I used to frequent the location in Elk Grove (thanks to being kind of a haphazard driver when it comes to running over curbs and nails) and the guys there were so friendly and helpful. I ended up going to the Concord location to get four new tires for my Corolla. They had pretty decent prices for very good tires, and I was able to make an appointment to guarantee a quick visit and that my tires were there and available.
The guys here are dope. I ended up having to reschedule my initial appointment due to scoring a job interview, and I called and talked to Zack. He was so kind and accommodating and was able to book me an appointment a few hours later, AND also wished me luck on my interview. Super sweet guy. Nick helped us out when we got there and was really friendly and helpful. He answered all of my boyfriend’s questions (which there were a lot of since he likes to know EVERYTHING) and got us in and out of there within an hour.
I was very impressed with their service and their prices. I’ll definitely be coming back here for tires… Just hopefully not anytime soon.

Had a nail in our tire yesterday… Bummer.
Pulled into America’s Tire where they stated that due to the location they could not patch, and had to replace the tire; this would be pro-​rated… Bummer.
Within 40 minutes they had us fixed and out the door with a brand new tire… Cost = $ 0.00… Bonus! Great visit. Great care. WONDERFUL going to a business that does not try to squeeze every penny out of a customer, but actually relies on Customer Satisfaction for repeat business. Thanks!

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at America’s Tire in Concord. Last year I was searching for new tires for my car Scion XB, a 235÷35÷19 size, and I expected to pay a pretty penny. Luckily I found America’s Tire and was able to get 4 new Falken’s, new stems, install and balance, and disposal of my old tires for $ 800. America’s Tire was by far the best deal I found in the Bay Area and I did plenty of price shopping before pulling the gun. I was very nervous about the installation given that my Scion is lowered and has a body kit but the installation went without a hitch, which in all honesty was very surprising.
So far I’ve put 10,000 miles on my tires and they’re still doing great. I was told to come in for a rotation every 5,000 miles but after speaking to a young employee who had the same tires, he personally recommended coming in every 3,000 miles. Not only did America’s Tire have the best pricing but they offer free balance and rotation for the life of the purchase. You can’t beat that!
I’ve been back twice for a rotation and balance and just like the day of the install, every visit has been exceptional. I do suggest making an appointment because I overheard some walk in’s being told that the wait time was anything from 1 to 2 hours. My most recent visit last week, I was in and out within an hour. When it comes to tires, there are plenty of shops ready to take your money but America’s Tire will undoubtedly take care of you and your car for the long run.

Had a flat tire and America’s Tire in Concord was the closest to me. I got there right when they opened at 8am and they got my car in almost immediately. enginr
The tire change was free since I had a tire warranty and the whole service was completed in about 20 minutes.
By sheer coincidence, when I left my engine light came on and my car started shaking after I pulled out of the America’s Tire parking lot. I thought it was a long-​shot that a tire change would mess up the engine, but to be on the safe side I brought it back.
Maxwell was great and took the time to look over the car and take a few readings. He was able to figure out the tire change and engibe troubke, though very close together, were unrelated.
My experience with their work and customer service was fabulous, and as a customer I felt taken care of because they were willing to address a problem that they didn’t really have to.

Had to replace two tires on my van and was looking for a tire shop around the area that can help me out. Recently moved around the area and saw a bunch of tire shops and decided to go with America’s Tire.
Heard about this company in the past and gave them a call. David was very professional over the phone, told him my issue and told him which tire I needed but had to be ordered. He suggested another tire that i was familiar with and went with that one.
Came in the shop this morning, wasn’t busy at all and Juwan was the one who greeted me in a professional manner and took a look at the tires.
Saw David as well as he introduced himself and remembered me over the phone and the car.
Currently the car is in the shop and should be done quick!!!

Came back for warranty work. Again great service and Maxwell was very helpful. Make a reservation as they get just but definitely worth the drive for me.

Very disappointed, specially being a long time customer. Stepped in today because I needed a tire repaired. So the guy comes in from getting the info from my tire and says he can’t repair it because it the tire is too old (7 years old). He said he could look up the price for a new one, I quickly said no thanks and walked out. My sidewalls are in good condition, I have at least %75 tread left and cost at least $ 250 each. The vehicle sits in the garage until needed. Maybe he thought he could be smooth and sell me something I don’t need. I wasn’t going to waste my time arguing my case, as he said the same thing to the guy in front of me and I figured that was his sales pitch.
I used to do business with Les Schwab, I never had issues with them, americas tire was just more convenient as they are closer to my home and had competitive prices. So, reluctant to throw away a perfectly good $ 250 tire, I drove to les schwab in pleasant hill, they said «no problem we’ll take care of that for you right away» now I’m sitting in their waiting room writing this review. Same ol great service. I’ll just have to drive a little farther now to get my tires.

Highly recommend this place for any of your tire needs! Very professional crew! My second time visiting them for front wheels and always a great experience. Especially for being Christmas Eve! I suggest making an appointment first because lines get long here!

I have been using Americas Tires for years, but am new to the East Bay area. I read a few of the reviews and so I set up an appointment with this branch.
Unfortunately a transformer blew up the street or something… on a Saturday so my Monday appointment I arrived in the morning just to be informed that I couldn’t even have the services I was supposed to be getting because some power was back, but their compressors didn’t work. why do we not have back-​up plans… in the old days everything was done and lifted with manual pieces. The relying on electronic and powered devices has really gone too far.
Due to the companies lack of preparedness not only could the customers who were scheduled for appointments not be called from the corporate office to be informed of what had happened prior to disrupting their lives to come in and bring their business here… but it was just a straight turn away for even the simplest of issues.
Not what I was expecting from Americas Tires as a whole.
After hanging out for over an hour I finally was really acknowledged by the man I believe was the manager. Kind of a bummer that all the other workers didn’t have the courtesy or decency to check in with the customers actually in the building. I asked him to walk out with me to my car and had a few questions for him which he answered.
This is the closest location to me now so I will give them another try and see if that exemplary service and customer service pulls through on the second round. Otherwise, I guess I will be driving back to Sacramento area to let them do the job right.

Came here for two new tires. I didn’t have an appointment. They were a bit late in acknowledging that I even came in, but they were mildly busy. I picked out the tires that I wanted and an hour later the car was done.
Good job for a walk in. I got in an out in about an hour.

Came to AT after losing trust with another big name tire company I had bought tires from for well over 15 years. Being told I needed brakes when I had them replaced 6 months earlier and having my tires rotated incorrectly ended that long term relationship. My mechanic recommended America’s Tires so after deciding what tires I wanted to purchase I called America’s Tires, spoke with Travis who referred me to Mr. Maxwell who would help me the following day. Mr. Maxwell placed my order and was actually able to get a partial credit on an expired warranty from General for a set of tires. That was terrific. The tires came in a week later and Nick Herrero was the assistant manager who helped complete the transaction. Travis mounted the tires, and off I drove a very happy customer.
Kudos to the individuals in charge of hiring smart, honest, patient, and efficient employees at America’s Tires Concord.

I’ve been coming to this branch for the last 7 years. In fact I just replaced my tires for the second time, due to Nick’s advice. Love these guys for keeping me safe on the road! Great customer service, fast turnaround time (if you make an appointment).

Second set of truck tires I have purchased and had installed by the crew here at AT. Competitive prices, friendly folks and they work fast. No hard sell on the extras, which is rare these days.

They are very nice and I will return in the future if I need new tires installed. Got a nail stuck to my tire unfortunately and they repaired it for free. Lol I don’t know why but they did. And seems to be a honest car shop business place so will return.

I had a new set of tires installed here and was overall very pleased. I had previously been a loyal B.O. Tire customer, but they have just been blowing it big time for me lately so I wanted to try somewhere new. America’s Tire was recommended by the service manager at the dealer who services my car.
I pretty much knew what tire I wanted, but the tech I spoke with on the phone was really helpful in giving me feedback on the tire and confirming my choice. It was a bit of a specialty tire, so I had to wait the better part of a week for them to arrive, which was a drag but not really unexpected. Surprisingly, without even haggling, the out the door price quoted was lower than anything I found online, including TireRack.com’s price which didn’t even include installation.
The tires arrived on the 2^nd day of their estimated two day window and an appointment was made to have them installed the next day. There were a lot of people waiting when I arrived for my appointment, but after waiting briefly in line, they rushed my car on to the rack and had the tires installed in about 35 minutes, well ahead of their 60 minute estimate. I highly recommend getting an appointment, as this appears to be a busy shop with long waits for walk-​ins. The waiting area was clean and neat with plenty of seating, but nothing fancy.
So why not 5 stars? It was really hot on the day of my install and they had a water mister blowing into a large fan in the installation area. Effective at cooling down the workers? No doubt. Unfortunately, it was also effective at putting a nice haze all over my car. I am totally OCD about keeping it immaculate, so that kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
Overall though, this was by far the best tire purchase and install experience I’ve had in at least two decades. I will be using this shop again in the future for sure.

They look to be a very successful tire shop based on the number of customers they’re daily accommodating. Nice, friendly and respectful employees like the other reviews say. They proved very capable near closing time with a full-​set tire change. I had first went to RT used tires over in Pacheco looking to score a bargain, but they were unable to accommodate my (fairly common) tire size. Whipped out the smartphone and made a quick call to America’s. They had 4 or 5 different brands of the size that RT didn’t. BTW, skip used tires folks. The ones at RT all looked at least 50% used and not much cheaper than my new Goodyears from America’s. Salesman inside America’s sold me on the branded tire upgrade. He then started in with the «tire insurance» upsell, which didn’t sound that good, so I passed (sounded like a better deal for the business)
The guys did lose one of my lug locks, and were kind of first looking at me like I lost it or never provided them with it. Take one star away for that. They later found it inside one of the repair bays and called to tell me. Kudos for that. They give out free tire pressure gauges at the counter, but I was disappointed to discover that they’re pretty cheap and inaccurate-​unreliable. They are a recommended tire store overall in my opinion.

Bought their new tire insurance for $ 15, which covers the lifetime of the tire. Hopefully won’t need it, but I frequently get nails, so wanted to be safe.

My wife and I came in to ATC because of a screw in my tire. Nick helped us out and discovered that it was a small tap screw that only stuck to the tread. Nick also rwcommend getting new tires since the inner treads were worn down pretty good. I already was planning on getting new tires as well a set of new wheels. He also informed us about the wheels/​tires promo sale that was happening and showed us some awesome choices like a set of Konig Backbone and Drag 35 and mentioned that he can order other wheels that are not on the website. I have had my heart set of Enkei EV5 Hyper Black colored wheels. After a lot of consideration, I opted to go with the Konig Backbone because of cost compared to my dream set of the Enkei EV5s. He also informs us about the multiple rebates we qualified for as well as the free interest financing that also qualifies us for an additional rebate.
The transaction was quick and effortless and Nick mentioned that he will order the wheels the following Tuesday. He later called me that the Konig Backbone were on back order until the end of June ordered the Enkei EV5s so I would get them by the end of the week. As mentioned, the wheels and tires came in and installed on my car this past Friday.
My overall experience with Nick, Steve and the rest of the staff was beyond outstanding. I will definitely do more business with this location and the staff as well as highly recommend to my friends and family.

The employees here are like… REALLY nice. It’s almost scary how nice and helpful they are but I LOVE it!
I usually take my car here when I need my tires pumped or rotated/​balanced and they’re always pretty prompt and very helpful. I have to say that the location is kind of out there, hard to find and a bit narrow to drive through but getting here is pretty worth it. If I ever need to replace my tires, this will be the place to go.

On my drive to work one early Thursday morning, my good luck seemed to have run out as I heard the flapping of my suddenly flat tire.
Let me preface this by saying, I’ve been putting off getting new tires for months because I simply didn’t have the money for it! Until I could save enough, it just wasn’t a top priority, even though I drive into Oakland several days a week.
Anyway. BOOM flat tire! Luckily I could drive safely to work because at 6am, there is nobody else on the road! AND luckily, I work right next door to another tire place. After work, I rolled my awful-​condition tire on over and was met with a judgmental look and a brutal «NO, THIS TIRE IS IN AWFUL SHAPE, THERE’S NO SAVING IT.» Along with the price of a brand new tire there (I’ve never had a spare tire for my car) of $ 85… Yeesh. Just what I was afraid of. And that was WITH the discount of working right next door? Uhhh…
Needless to say, after reading about America’s Tire, I headed on over there feeling pretty nervous. Their website SAYS they have $ 55 tires — but what if tax and labor costs bring it up to over $ 100/​tire?!
But just in time, my good luck came rolling back. My salesperson (I believe his name was Nick) was funny, non-​judgmental, and offered me an amazing price on my tires. I was in and out in an hour, without an appointment.
But the best part? For $ 8.50/tire, you get LIFETIME WARRANTY! And he even added that lifetime warranty on the tire I bought at the other place! Plus, I could use that warranty at ANY store they have… Antioch, Oakland, Concord, etc. Right on!
I am so happy I came here. They really took a load off me and my car. I’ve already been boasting about it to everyone I know, and will continue recommending them to anybody who needs new tires fast.

Made an appointment because I don’t want to spend more time than needed at a service center. Show up before the appointment and there are two people ahead of me. Not sure what setting an appointment does because I might as well just walked in. Got to my car after 40 mins and I left 25 mins later. Waited an hour with my «appointment»

I recently had to replace all 4 of my tires and decided to come here after getting a ridiculously expensive quote from Costco for a whole new set. I bought my previous set of tires from the America’s tires in union city but had a bad experience recently at that location and I did not want to return. However, I found the certificates to be very beneficial for the life of the tires and decided to give Americas tires another chance, but here in concord.
Setting up an appointment was incredibly easy and when I arrived, Sean was very helpful in assisting me with my appointment and explaining all of the tire options for my car with the type of driving that I do. Once I made a decision, he was able to give me an accurate time as to when my car would be ready. Also, the certificates are $ 13 each, which is $ 3 less than what the union city location charged me previously. Within 30min, I had a new set of tires and felt confident in my new purchase!
