Concord Diplomat Taxi

Negative stars. Just called to book a cab from my house in pleasant hill tomorrow morning to take me to BART at 9am. the guy on the phone said «no thank you. I’m too busy.» And hung up.

I use a taxi service almost every night to get home from the BART station– so often that the cab drivers know me as a regular and can take me to my door without any direction at all. This company has a driver who, while friendly in conversation, doesn’t like to give change. My $ 7 cab rides cost me $ 10 with him. I don’t feel right grappling over a few dollars with him, but this last time he never even turned on the meter, took my $ 10, and told me to have a safe night. How awkward! As a regular customer I shouldn’t have to ASK for my change. I tip generously each and every time!
They get a star for quick service, and another for general friendliness. But they lose the rest for all of my change they’re hoarding.

I googled for taxis and found this one because it had a Unilocal review, and lately I live through Unilocal reccommendations. But when I called for a taxi, no one answered! BOO!

I like this taxi service in the Bay Area. Although their name is Concord Dipomat Taxi, they actually take you to any airport in the Bay Area (SFO, SJO, OAK) and they have pretty good rates too. They’re actually the only taxi service that answered the phone and showed up on time to get me to the airport at the ungodly hour of 4am! Cars are nice and well kept.

Just wanted to add that this place is also great becuase I found it they speak spanish which is really helpful because my grandma needed a ride and ended up talking the ear off the nice driver!
