The best Korean BBQ!!! Love the soups. They serve many side dishes and they all so good. My husband and I always stop here on our way to home from San Francisco. We wish this place was near our home. Never been disappointed. Can’t wait for our next visit!!!

This place is legit. Love their tofu soup! The other beef stew was really good too. Ban chan selection is good but such tiny portions!!! Much better than Korea house.

I’m not a fan of places where the price doubles for dinner and you get literally half the portions versus lunch time.

I was stationed in Korea for 1 year in 88 – 89 I loved the culture the people and mostly the food! My first experience was great in every way! I took home a bunch of their kimchi for only $ 6.99 well worth it! And Jap Che! I have found my new spot in East Bay! And so close to home! Love you guys and the people! Cheers Deano

I’ve been going here for the past few years. Not often, just every couple of months and just for lunch. Service is always good, it’s not crowded and the food is excellent.

Been going here for over a year now. Weekend regulars. And now, will have to find a new Korean restaurant in the area. We’ve noticed this has slowly become THE place for loud old Korean men to come for drinks after work or golf. NOT a family friendly restaurant. It’s a shame too, because I really liked this place. Have noticed a steady decline in food quality and portion size over the year, but tonight’s experience sealed it for us. This restaurant re-uses food. Yes, RE-USES food. What we ate tonight, from the rice to the main dish, was cooked yesterday. It was obvious to everyone at the table(who were all Korean, and we all grew up eating, and cooking, Korean food at home). This is unacceptable. I hope CDPH pays them a visit, because this just gives Korean restaurants a bad reputation. We informed the waitress that the rice was congealed, the meat was tasteless, the jigae was nothing but soup, and it was obvious to all of us that this was last night’s leftovers reheated. She just smiled and said sorry. Wow. We were speechless. Don’t know if there’s been a change in ownership or kitchen staff or what, but we won’t be coming back. It’s a real shame. Used to really like this place.

Food was good. I was disappointed that this was not a grill your own meat restaurant. Or laced at the time the capability to cook your own meat. The wait staff was polite and catered to my children’s needs.

I wish I could agree with the past reviewers, but sad to say I cannot. We walked in to the place that smelled of dirty cleaning rags – you know what I mean. You smell that they are trying to keep the place clean, but the rag are what you smell. Service was slow; water came right away, but we waited a long time for our order to be taken. I ordered the dolsot bimbimbap, and it was so bland that I added the hot sauce three times – which did nothing. It looked pretty when it came out, but it just had no taste. My daughter ordered the Bulgogi – which had a lot of meat and onions on the plate, but there too not as tasty as at other Korean BBQ places to which we’ve been. Same could be said of the«side» dishes. I’ll stick with my current Korean places.

One if the best for Kim chi stew with pork and tofu. I’ve been coming here for years. The new ownership has made their«side dishes» a lot better. It’s much busier here than before but I’m always able to get a table. Service is good as well. Good for to go orders. Love their bbq short ribs as well.

This place is just super delicious. We came here on a random Sunday evening before a movie. I ordered fried prawns, expecting your normal boring breaded, fried prawns, but no. These were prawns inside an onion pancake, fried and served with a wonderful sauce. So good. We also ordered beef bulgogi and rice cake soup, both were incredible. The beef was somehow sweet and savory, it was absolutely delicious. The soup so flavorful, especially after customizing it with one of the many add-ins piled on the table at the beginning of our meal. I think my favorite was the slightly pickled cucumbers and the kimchee. We’re headed back there today to see if everything is as good as it was the first time. Fingers crossed!

Yummm!!! Went here with the boyfriend on a whim. The restaurant wasn’t particularly full and I can’t remember what day we went. Service was AMAZING!!! We got the bulgogi and spicy tofu soup, both were delicious and we decided we would come back in the future. Decently priced — similar to other Korean restaurants. We were the last to leave before they closed, but they didn’t rush us at all and were SUPER accommodating. I would recommend this place again!

The food is delicious! If you eat pork definitely get the spicy pork and kimchi soup. The short ribs are also amazing. Like seafood? Tofu soup is amazing! Can’t go wrong with anything you order from here and the servers make great recommendations and are very sweet.

The lady and I went for dinner on a Friday night after seeing the reviews. I figured since it was Friday we would get seated and the servers would be trying to move as quick as possible. We got there and the place smelled great, like authentic food done well. Sat quickly and our order was taken quickly. Veggies and rice in the stone bowl thing for the lady, spicy pork for me and a large beer for us to split. About ten minutes later waters and my spicy pork came out and an ‘taster’ group of plates for the lady. Then we waited. We were both kind of munching, but the spicy pork had me sipping on the water and then I started wondering if my beer would ever arrive. The pair of us tried to flag down two different waitresses for ten minutes. Then we got more water. Beer nowhere to be found. Stone bowl nowhere to be found. A whole 50(five zero) minutes later the veggie stone bowl comes out, which they must have felt bad it took so long because they chocked it full of meats. Chicken, beef and pork. Well my lady isn’t one to turn away a plate that took almost an hour to get and she isn’t a hardcore vegan or something that can’t be in the same building as meat but it could have very well ruined someone else’s meal. I eventually had to metaphorically and emotionally get on my knees and beg for my sapporo. There seems to be a communication barrier because we first got two bowls delivered and had to clear up the bowl-sapporo gap. The food was good. The service was not great. I feel bad rocking them this bad, because it looked like a family joint and they were trying their best. But our plates came out almost an hour difference! My dinner partner said empathetically«Yeah, I’d come back here.» with hope in her voice. I responded«Well it looks like you are coming by yourself, because I won’t be back here.» On the way out we paid at the counter and after spending almost two hours for dinner we had to stand at the counter and wait for one of the two servers to come and help us. Last gripe, the parking lot was a little hinkey and there were no lights, it made my neck hair stand on edge. My final thought: for the price point, flavor point and time there are better.

Just finished having dinner here earlier and I have to admit that I’m glad the place we had original planned to go eat at was closed tonight. We showed up at 9:25PM. The waiter was kind enough to seat us even though it was already five minutes before closing and thank goodness he did because I didn’t want to look for another place to dine at. After he took our orders, the food came out pretty quickly. My son ordered the kalbi tang without onions and he was very happy with his food. He said he would come back just because they remembered to leave out the onions. He’s a lot like me in that aspect. Neither of us likes onions in our food & we get pretty upset when we ask for them to leave the onions out, yet they still don’t. We also ordered the mul naeng myun, the spicy pork and dolsot bibimbap. Everything we ordered were good, even the banchans were tasty. I’d definitely come back here if we’re in the Concord area and craving Korean food, but we do have a lot of choices in the Oakland area when it comes to really good Koreans.

This place just keeps getting worse. First they raised their prices and changed their items on their specials menu. Even worse, they have become impossibly stingy with their banchans. When we asked for a refill after ordering one of their most expensive BBQ dishes, they only refilled under half of the empty banchan bowls and they put two items of each in each bowl. Two pieces of potato in a banchan bowl!!? The ladies were so busy socializing that they never bothered to check on us even though we were the only customers! I probably won’t come back after frequenting them so often.

The world of Korean food is exciting, sophisticated, nuanced and, to the uninitiated food adventurer, absolutely mesmerizing This place has the best korean BBQ I’ve ever eaten. service was nice and pretty fast, and we decide try for first time try Gal Bee«bbq ribs» flavorful and came sizzling a plus, and also we try japchie with beef«noodle dish» also they bring a plethora of banchan that is small taste plates of basically all korean food, fish, veggies, is a sort of flavors that you can just play with them, also for a Korean beer called OB and was really good mix with the meal I will back from more soon!!!

Came back with my wife and we ordered both the Kimchi Fried Rice and the Dai Ji Bulgogi(Spicy Pork) and we both absolutely loved our lunch. I’d been a little reluctant to come back after my first meal here but this food was absolutely delicious. We didn’t leave a bite of food, it was that good!!!

By looking at the place or area you wouldn’t expect it. But it’s simple has a rustic feel to it. They graciously provide with you the best Korean side dishes. The Service is friendly and attentive Lunch is def the best time to come. They’re lunch special are a combination of both great pricing but even better food. On the weekdays they also have a small happy hour menu which can come clutch. What’s not to love about this place?

Discovered this place while driving and this is the best Korean restaurant in the area. It’s a little hole in the wall and is great for big groups of people as well. My family and I always eat here for our Korean fix. The portions are perfect and affordable. The servers are nice and do pretty well for them only having 2 servers to tend to the whole restaurant.

My friend, a regular, introduced me to Korean BBQ plus. The chef went to a well known culinary school in Korea. They have some of the best pancakes here! We ordered the SEAFOODPANCAKE and it was delicious, even more so when dipped in the soy vinaigrette! Their sides were very authentic. I couldn’t get enough of the pickled bean sprouts and daikon! I was craving the SAMGYETANG all day(the very traditional Cornish hen soup with rice and ginseng). Even though it’s a dish on the menu, they don’t have it regularly/on a daily basis. Because they didn’t have it the day I went, they were very apologetic and brought me complimentary spring rolls AND steamed egg. Instead, I went with the DDUKGUKBULGOGI and it was equally amazing. How can you go wrong with bul go gi and rice cake soup? The soup was sweet and savory. The scallions added a nice touch. My favorite part would have to be the sweet potato noodles. So good with rice!
