Quick update after recent review — I was enjoying dinner with my family at BCYC when I was stopped by a friend who complimented my haircut. He asked me where I went and said he hoped to get a similar good looking haircut.
It must be a good looking haircut because I had a few compliments over the next few days.

Quality mens haircut and a good price. Great vibe with fast Eddie and crew and your just might learn some history about CDM. Fast Eddie was the barber at the Ford Plant that used to sit where One Ford Road is between jamboree, MacArthur, bison and Bonita Canyon/​ford Road.

Fast Eddie and Angel have been my only barber for many years and I love the hair cuts and the whole feeling of the place. Yes, the hours are limited and most of the time you may have to wait a little. Fast Eddie and Angel have a life outside of the Barber Shop, they work long hard hours. Remember just because you show up at closing time that is no reason that the Barber has to work longer hours.
Show a little respect for Artisan and work with them and you will receive a Great haircut!

I have been going to this barber shop since 1990 when I first moved into the neighborhood. Eddie, Angel and Daniel provide a friendly atmosphere and give great haircuts in an old fashioned barbershop. I am still waiting for the Brazilian wax, though.

Very obnoxious barbers
I called for an appt. the barber said we only take walk ins, I show up at 10 minutes to 12 and he says I’m closed.
Saturday at 1150 I’m closed?
Totally rude and thinks incoming back?
Screw them and their lousy customer service.

Coast Barber Shop is a great three chair barber shop. They’ve been continuously open in Corona del Mar since 1967! Real barbers … like it used to be. I’ve been getting flattops at Eddie’s since the early 70s, nothing seems to change, always top-​quality work, never a bad hair day! A good barber is one of those things you never seem to appreciate until you don’t have one. Spending lots of time out of the area leaves me trying trying to find a barber that can match Eddie’s flattops, it’s always a risky ordeal being that once it’s screwed up, there’s not much to left to work with.
At Eddie’s I always know I will be levelheaded when I leave!

Cool place. Horrible hours. Their hours ‘claim’ to be open till 4pm but they close at 3pm… ON A FRIDAY! Seriously they only cater to the lifestyles of the retired and oc suit and tie wearing groups. Fail.

Angel and Eddie are two of the greatest barbers that have ever lived. The michael jordan and scottie pippen of hair cuts.
If you live in Newport/​CDM and you consider yourself a man– you should only be going to Coast Barbers.
