Specialties

Maureen is a Craniosacral Therapy specialist qualified to treat more complicated cases of headaches due to TMJ, concussion, birth trauma, or anxiety from PTSD. As a certified massage therapist, her treatment plan always incorporates myofascial work, deep trigger point therapy, and joint mobilization to smooth out even the toughest neck, back, and hip pains. Her pediatric craniosacral therapy skills focus on helping newborns, infants and toddlers resolve traumatic birth interventions (premature delivery, NICU, pitocin, vacuum, cesarean). She integrates yoga with craniosacral therapy to address developmental delays such as crawling or speech. Newborn care includes lactation coaching and tummy time tips. She also addresses fussiness and wellness issues for babies and toddlers, including colic, earaches and falls; as well as neurological complications such as plagiocephaly, ADD, and autism. Small group classes focus on Itsy Bitsy Yoga for babies and Infant Massage. Her advanced qualifications are through the Upledger Institute. She is a past instructor of Craniosacral Therapy for Massage Students at Alive and Well; as well as Healing from the Core meditation and grounding retreats

Meet the Business Owner

Maureen O.

Business Owner

I grew up swimming in Lake Winnepesaukee, New Hampshire and skiing near the White Mountains. As much as I’m drawn to nature and sports, I’m also intrigued by the human story. My interests led me to study journalism and develop a careerpath that ended in Washington, DC covering national politics. I spent most of my free time bicycling, eventually completing the Bike Virginia Challenge where I had my first massage. Frustrated with industry changes, I left journalism to attend Potomac Massage Training institute in 1995, deciding to pursue therapeutic sports massage. While I still work with athletes, my love for the human journey has led me to also provide massage for pregnancy, infancy, childhood, and seniors. My present athletic pursuits are hiking with our two Scottie dogs, snowshoeing, and Bikram Yoga.
