Unless you want to be very frustrated like I was after spending $ 13,000 on drapes and carpet and getting terrible service, don’t use this company. Unless you are very important and own gobs of real estate they ignore you and your «little» job, don’t do the job right, and don’t even bother to return phone calls when they promise to. I can’t believe how unprofessional they are. They did not complete my job for months after they said they would, giving one excuse after another. When they finally finished I found that they had left tacks sticking up through the carpet all over the place which I lacerated my feet on. When I asked them to fix it Gloria suggested I get a little hammer and fix it myself. They constantly did not show up when promised or call when promised. We dissaggreed on what work was promised and I was left with no drapes in the master bedroom. «That one was not on the contract,» they said, though they charged me $ 7,000 for doing two windows and two sliding glass doors. They tackilly hot glued the bedroom drapes back together and called it a repair. Make sure you read the fine print with these people if you use them at all. The verbal contract they gave me did not match the written one. You are better off with Penney’s or Sears. Same quality and a quarter of the price. And they do what they say they will do.

I had Alden’s do my hardwood floors and carpet 10 yrs ago and was very happy. So when I wanted to take out the tile and put in hardwood I called them… I don’t know what happen to there customer service but Chris came to measure he said he would get right back to me with a quote. Never heard back from him!!! When I finialy got I touch with him he said he was waiting for me to do the work finding material. Chris was not helpful at all I called back a few times for a quote and find out if Alden’s could do the job. Nothing !! They finally I talked to Chris again and he said he would have his wood specialist call me still nothing!!! They must be doing ok since I had a big job (if need hardwood in my bedroom also all new carpet and draperies) terrible customer service!!! and a total waste of my time. Im so glad I didn’t hire him if I was treated like that before a job imagine if he was doing my job. What a run around. …

Alden’s replaced both my carpet and flooring and did a beautiful job! Gloria was fantastic to work with and went above and beyond to help me with my flooring choice, using her design expertise! Both Darrell and Jose did an incredible job installing my flooring, along with Rigo who did the follow up painting. Pricing was good as well as customer service!

We made the mistake of using this company. They installed wood flooring and new carpet for us. They broke our fireplace base while installing the wood. They left numerous tacks throughout our carpet, which we stepped on several times. Absolutely awful. The owner made excuses for everything. Save yourself the stress and stay far away from this company.

I wish I could give NEGATIVE stars. 1) you can NEVER get a hold of a live person. So you might need to leave 3 messages over 2 days (one mess. was with a live «I only take messages» person) and then wait over their day off only to NEVER hear back. Finally when you get a hold of someone right before they clock-​out, they will act like YOU are crazy cause they NEVER got any of the messages. Then they will tell you to do the JOB they promised to do when you bought the window covering — that is to call the manufacturer directly — yes YOU will call the manufacturer, and since YOU are the customer and NOT the Aldens/​DEALER, YOU will need to take down your window coverings, climb up and look for a serial number — the very # Aldens/​dealer has at their finger tips in their system! Yes, it’s all right there, but they will take more time explaining this failed process for you to fail at on your own, more time than if they JUST DID WHAT THEY PROMISED WHEN YOU HIRED AND PAID THEM.
Update, they just called me back, funny, I never told them my information when I got a hold of them, must have JUST FOUND all those messages I left. but wait… they called to say my window coverings were by a manufacturer that’s gone out of business, when I question this, I go look at the coverings only to find out they are NOT the brand they have on… file?

I’ve used Alden’s and worked with John the owner for over a decade. He has done work in my residence and in a number of my rentals. They give me great pricing and personalized service. They recently did both wood flooring and bathroom flooring in a rental property and both my tenant and I were thrilled with the result.

After my parents used Alden’s Carpets on two different projects and enjoyed their service, I hired them. I selected new carpet and coordinated the carpet installation with their sales staff. The carpet was installed when I was at work and when I returned home, I discovered that they installed the wrong color and style of carpet.
When I called to explain this to their sales staff, they tried to convince me that they had installed the correct carpet. I sent a picture of the carpet and ultimately had to visit the store on a few occasions to explain the situation. Every time I returned the original sample pattern board that I ordered from was «missing» or on «loan to another designer.» If you borrow a sample board from them, they are stringent about having you return it the next day. Therefore, I couldn’t understand how the sample was missing and never recovered. Ultimately, they agreed that they had installed the wrong type and color carpet and gave me a partial refund on my order (against a blind orders that I had also placed with them).
The blinds were supposed to be installed within 3 – 4 weeks of my order, however it took another week for the order to arrive. When the blinds were installed, one of the windows was measured incorrectly by their sales staff and it did not fit. I had to wait another week for the blind size to be corrected. The blind that was corrected is still a nudge too big and when I lower it, part of it is not straight. It’s frustrating, because these blinds cost a lot of money.
There are a lot of carpet and blind services available in the area. I think that Alden’s staff has good intentions and is friendly, however their errors and attempt to cover them up was very frustrating. At this point, I would not recommend their services to my friends and would recommend comparing their business to others in the area. The company has been in business for decades, however it is today’s customers that will impacts their future sales.

We used Alden’s Carpet & Draperies a few years ago when we bought our new home. We wanted to install hardwood floors on the ground floor, and in the upstairs bathrooms. We also chose to replace the carpet on the rounded staircase and throughout the upstairs.
The staff was very helpful in finding samples of products that met our environmentally-​friendly requirements. We ended up with wonderful recycled composite hardwood flooring installed with a low VOC glue, and still-​luxurious virgin wool carpeting on a recyclable carpet pad. John, the owner of Alden’s, went out of his way to keep us happy, and he became critical to us later, after we had to replace the hardwood when a leak occurred one week after we moved in that damaged the new flooring.
Our homeowner’s policy covered all but the deductible, and John worked with us to replace our floors a second time. We were happy once again, until the hardwood started to crack – or «split» and «check» if you know your hardwood jargon. Believe me, if you have a string of hardwood inspectors (no, I’m not making that up, they are a real thing) through your house checking for damage, you can pick it up pretty quick. We had hardwood inspectors from the insurance company, hardwood inspectors from the flooring manufacturer, and John sent out his guys too. After all of the hardwood inspectors had weighed in, the verdict was that we had gotten a faulty product from the manufacturer.
John worked with the manufacturer directly and honored his own warranty, and had all of the hardwood floor replaced a third time, this time AT NO COST TO US. They did an amazing job and I am even, maybe, a little picky.
Years later I still admire the work Alden’s has done – even though my children have made the floor a little more «distressed» than it was originally, and there may be a few more spots of color in the natural flecks of our soft wool carpet. We are happy with what we chose and what we got, and beyond happy with John for being integral to making that happen.
It is rare to find a business owner so hands-​on with his work and so involved with the customers being satisfied. Throughout the process I was able to reach John directly on his cell and he always made a minute to talk; he never made me feel like I was imposing on him. We found him to be professional, honest, hardworking, and best of all, reliable.

Well where should I start… My Step-​Mom ordered carpet and they kept giving her the run around. The owner called her and promised her that the carpet was going to be in by 10am. Well I went to go pick it up for her and I was told that they wont have it in till about 2pm. I asked if I could go pick up the item and the driver said he wouldn’t wait for me from there distributor in cypress… So I went in and the owner had a horrible attitude he kept telling me how his distributor F****ed him over and over… First off I don’t care what happened I just want my carpet… He kept using the F word in every sentence… Having a Bad Day Buddy… Way to run a business… Very Classy… Now after waiting around for 2 more hours the carpet had arrived and the second piece of carpet was already at the shop… The one I was waiting for I could of come back and got other one at a later date… So I went back into the shop and asked the owner why know one told me that one of the carpets was already here. I could of went and dropped it off and came back later for the second one… Well the owner just goes crazy on my and told me to F**K off a few times and kicks me out of his shop… I think he thought I was a worker/​installer not the costumer… Then he calls my step-​mom and starts running his mouth to her and makes her all up-​set… Never Use this shop… And for the owner well enough said (Karma will get ya)

Aldens just installed new flooring and carpet in my unit and they were amazing! The men they sent were so kind! One of them even helped my sister to the car because she couldn’t walk on her own, (Back problem). 2 different days for each installation, and 4 different men, all of whom were courteous, and professional. I will recommend Aldens to everyone I know!

We needed a short-​term solution for our family room, which we hope to renovate along with the kitchen in 3 to 4 years. We also needed to re-​carpet our staircase, which had not been done properly in the first place.
John understood our needs immediately and solved both issues. We found a lovely remnant for our family room that will work out great. As for the staircase, Alden’s had a carpenter who was able to re-​work the risers on our staircase to make them perfectly level. In fact, there are no more squeaks or groans coming from the staircase now.
Alden’s was able to have binding put on the new carpet for the staircase, so that it did not fray the way the old carpet did. The installation was fantastic. The guys were friendly, fast and helpful.
This is a family-​run business, and it shows. In my last house, I went with Lowe’s carpeting, and they got the job done, but nobody cared about me. I’ve used another big chain on another occasion, and again, they got the job done. With Alden’s, they solved my problems, they worked with me within the restraints of my time and budget, and I’m thrilled with the carpet. Even more thrilled with the installation. I highly recommend Alden’s for any carpeting.
