Dreamscapes was an absolute pleasure to work with!
I have a brand new home and wanted to do a swimming pool and complete the front and back yard landscaping. From the initial meeting with Eric and throughout the entire design process it was done so professionally. The final design was far beyond anything we saw from any other contractors and he made suggestions for us that we hadn’t even considered. Their work was flawless and all their workers, and project manager, were friendly and extremely patient with some of my indecisiveness at times. The final project is amazing! Several of the neighbors in our new housing development went with other contractors and are regretting some of their choices and instead they envy ours!
I would ignore some of those other reviews that give one star. I noticed that some of them never even met with them nor had them do any work. I would recommend meeting with them and using them — you won’t be sorry!

Kind of a bummer. I emailed this company last Saturday with the hope of scheduling time for next week to visit my house in escrow for a project. Due to escrow I knew I would have limited availability to be able to get someone in the house for an appointment so tried to be proactive and reach out to this company in advance. Called them Monday to make sure my message was received– gal on the phone said someone will call me later. By Tuesday afternoon still no call so I called again. I was told the person calling me was doing an estimate and would call me back later. No call. Wednesday afternoon sam girl told me Eric will call you back, he answers calls in order received. Thursday, still no call. I called back again and told the girl I have spoke to all week that I still had not received a call and explained why I was trying to reach them since last Saturday. She said «well we wouldn’t have time to get out to you next week anyway». Awesome. Basically they are too busy and don’t need business nor have time for new businesses inquiries. The website contact form should say we may not be in touch at all. I thought their website was great and their work looked great. I have several properties and was looking for a go-​to company but unfortunately didn’t find it here.

Dreamscapes design construction of our backyard turned out beautiful. Joe our designer was great to work with. Several months after construction, they positively responded to a couple warranty items. I would recommend Dreamscapes to others.

Love Love love my new yard! My yard looks a tropical landscape just has I had envisioned it! They worked fast and knocked it in a couple days! Highly recommend them!

When we set out to begin our project, we were extremely skeptical because we had been through the process four years prior at our previous home. I will not mention the company by name, but everything about working with them was AWFUL. So we decided this time, we would do our homework and look into the reviews of possible companies.
Right from the start, we thought Dreamscapes were a good fit. We had Joe as our designer and he was amazing. He REALLY seemed to care that our job was thoroughly planned and cohesive across all parts, sometimes more than we did! As far as the bid went, we knew what to expect and also knew that Dreamscapes wouldn’t be the cheapest. After going through this process with the cheapest company before, we learned that you truly get what you pay for. We were pleasantly surprised that they weren’t as expensive as we thought, for their quality of work. In the end, we paid exactly what they bid, with only one change order of minor enhancements that was completely our doing.
We built a pool and spa with rock waterfall feature and rock slide dug into a hillside, an outdoor kitchen with covered roof, a fireplace, outdoor media system, terraced hillside for crops and fruit trees, and complete landscaping. We knew it would be a lengthy project. Dreamscapes did everything from the sprinklers to the lighting fixtures. We only hired outside companies for the electronics and gates, which Dreamscapes doesn’t handle. They said it would take about 5 months. It took exactly 5 months. They had a crew there 6 days a week. Sometimes only one or two guys, sometimes ten. We were so impressed by that, knowing it was not the norm. The work crews were amazing, too. Friendly, quiet, hard-​working, and CLEAN. Even our neighbors made comments to us about how impressed they were. Everything was done quickly and efficiently, sometimes with 10 – 11 hour days!
My biggest compliment would have to be their quality of work. Any time we thought that something wasn’t looking the way we imagined it, it was redone, no questions asked. That rarely happened, but throughout the process we were anxious to see how things would end up looking and we were always impressed. I would think it would be difficult to take someone’s verbal description and general taste, and make it come to fruition, but Dreamscapes outdid themselves. By the end, I was completely confident trusting whatever Joe thought would look good. He pointed out things we hadn’t thought of, and he truly took on his responsibilities as the designer as if it were his personal space he’d have to live with! I can’t say enough how amazing he was. Everyone who sees our yard comments on the quality of the rock work, or the construction of the roof and kitchen. After knowing how bad other companies can be, we couldn’t be happier that we chose Dreamscapes.
We had Gabe and Diego as our project managers and they were literally an email away. My husband and I both work full time, and we have three kids. We are always busy, so when we needed help with something or had a question or concern, we were anxious to handle it then and there. If we emailed or called anyone, we were answered almost immediately. At the very most, within the hour! Even on their days off. Any concern was handled on the spot. The communication aspect was unbelievable and that in itself sets this company apart from any others. Most reviews of other pool companies show that they are notoriously bad at keeping to a schedule and returning calls. Dreamscapes excels at both!
We will continue to praise the professionalism, work, and general experience of working with Dreamscapes to anyone interested. If you are thinking of building a pool or remodeling anything, do your homework. Read reviews and ask for references. It can be a really stressful experience with the wrong company.

I did a lot of research before selecting the company to create landscaping for our new construction home in Baker Ranch, Lake Forest. I met with a lot of landscaping companies and received quite a few bids. Dreamscapes by M.G.R was the second to highest bid but the design, as presented by Kirk, was way above the rest. He is truly talented at what he does and this unique design is what won us over. The time frame estimate given of 8 – 10 weeks was more than double the quote from any other company but I just figured he was over estimating since this was SUCH a small project. I figured 8 weeks tops. It has been brought to my attention, living in new construction that jobs like this are considered quite small and timeframes across the board seem to stretch out from what was promised. Given that this is typical in this industry I chose to adjust my score. My frustrations were at having to chase the PM for updates & why the project would have no action sometimes for days. Again, this does seem typical in the industry.
The workmanship was brilliant — the quality of the work is really impressive (custom fountain, custom firewall, tiling etc).

This has been the worst contractor experience I’ve ever had. Thankfully I finally threw in the towel and found someone else to do the work. Manny, from Dreamscapes by MGR, was referred to me by my pool guy (very reputable). I contacted Manny and after two attempts, Manny came to look at the project. The following was his formal bid sent to me in an email…
«Hello Robert
Again, I’m so sorry about getting this estimate late to you. But total cost for the work we went over is $ 9,825.00.
This includes all material and labor. But no permits. Let me know if you have any questions. Again, I am so sorry I was late on getting you this estimate.»
Zero detail on the work to be completed and when I emailed him back to ask if something was included, I got «yes. Everything we discussed» as a response.
Nearly two months has passed, I’ve emailed Manny multiple times and left multiple messages on his phone… TOTAL SILENCE.
To those people looking for concrete work, buyer beware! If you want a total flake contractor to do your work, call Manny. Otherwise move on to the next contractor.

I had my pool redone recently, and I vetted out several Southland contractors before going with Dreamscapes. I made the right choice for several reasons. Dreamscapes’ managerial staff is fantastic and was always up front with time, materials, and cost before moving ahead with various phases of the project. Manny, the owner, consistently followed up with me after every phase to make sure my desires were met, which I found to be quite refreshing knowing that the person in overall charge of the company cared enough about his business to make sure the job was done to my expectations. Every employee that came out to the house and put in work was friendly and clean. I never had trash sitting out after they left nor any materials and/​or equipment exposed unless I approved of it ahead of time. If you are in the market for a new or reconditioned pool; I personally would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Loved working with this company and Manny! Our backyard looks amazing and is great for entertaining. The end result was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. Dreamscapes installed a new pool with spa and slide in our backyard. We used their designer, Kirk, to plan a gorgeous design, including landscaping. The pool looks gorgeous; we couldn’t be happier. Workers were professional and kept the job site neat and clean. Manny, Gabe, and Rod are great to work with. We highly recommend this company.
