No Rest For Bridget

Seriously F this place & their stupid return policy. I bought a dress (on sale) today around 3pm, was a little bigger than I wear but i liked it so much I bought it anyway. Took it to my tailor to be taken in a little on the top but the way the dress was made, she said it wouldn’t work. Bummed, I took the dress back two hours later in hopes of EXCHANGING it for a higher priced dress I saw earlier. Didn’t want my $$ back or anything just a dress that fit. All the sales girls could do was repeat their return policy over & over to me even though I obviously had not damaged the item in any way, and had literally just bought it. I think an exception could have been made in my case due to the circumstances but they were not going to accommodate that in any way. They must have a hard time moving their cheap, overpriced shit, because once you buy it and are «out the door with it, it’s yours & NRFB can’t do anything with it.» Never shopping here again, too bad too, I’m was a loyal shopgirl to them…

Super cute boutique! It’s dangerous to go window shopping here because I know I’ll end up leaving with something.

I visited this boutique with my daughter close to closing time and we were reminded the second we stepped into the store that they were closing in ten minutes. The two girls working there were talking to each other about how they wanted to go home. Certainly not a friendly environment, and not one I felt comfortable in. I asked what time they closed during the week and one of the sale assistants replied by saying ‘What?”
Ok, so you apparently don’t need my business! One star for being open when I arrived and the other for the clothes!

Came into your store today with my super cranky 2 year old. I needed to get a present for my sister and my daughter wasn’t behaving the best (going thru terrible 2’s) I was so embarrassed and felt like everyone was judging. I was wrong. Another customer in the store was totally understanding and the girl helping me was super sweet. Even thru my daughters tantrum she asked if my daughter wanted to help her tie the bow on the gift. So sweet cause my daughter was super excited to help. Thank you so much to your staff, best customer service next time I will be back and do the shopping I wanted to do for myself, by myself lol

No rest for Bridgette is one of my favorite little boutiques in Costa Mesa but the customer service at this location is AWFUL! I went in on Saturday hoping to find something cute to wear to an event that evening. Right when I walked in I was never greeted nor did any sales rep come up and ask if I needed any help. I was walking around with a handful of things and never once was asked if I needed a dressing room. I had to approach them for a dressing room. The sales reps talked among each other the whole time. Truly disappointed and will not shop here anytime soon.

They always have a great variety of cute and inexpensive clothing. Camille is by far one of the best employees at the store! Super helpful and remembers my name even though I only go in once or twice a month!

Kimi is absolutely wonderful! I used to dread coming here because the customer service was horrid…
I would come in every now and then for last minute shopping trips. Kimi is a delight and is very customer service oriented and is always eager to help find any particular items I may need. She is an asset to the team and I truly come back because she has changed my mind about the store. Thank you Kimi!

I’m a tad disappointed in this boutique because the multiple times that I’ve been in this particular location, I have not been greeted. Not once. I don’t need to be followed around the store or anything but a simple, «Hello, how are you? Or welcome» would have been nice. I wanted to walk out but since I wanted to find a cute warm top since I had just gone through my clothes and given away a ton of stuff, I knew I wanted something cute for winter since I knew what I had in my closet and what I didn’t have. The girls were chatting amongst one another and not paying attention to customers. It was sad to see because it’s a small store. Being a past manager of a large clothing store, I know retail can be tough but when it’s small store, it’s easier to yell from the register to welcome a customer because you can see them walk in. I can’t say retail is easy but you shouldn’t do it if you can’t even say hello to your customers. I ended up buying a really pretty forest green wrap around suede sweater and it’s beautiful. It was $ 65.00 so it wasn’t cheap but I contemplated getting it just based on the lack of customer service. But I really wanted it lol I stood at the register for about 4 – 5 minutes before I was rung up and there was a girl standing there flipping through papers and didn’t even say like, «oh, someone will be right with you» she didn’t even look up at me. It was just a strange experience. Same as my other experiences there. The Newport location I have never bought anything from but I can’t remember how their customer service is. I wouldn’t say don’t shop here but just expect to not really be acknowledged. They have super cute classy clothes for all ages.

Can’t believe that I waited so long to finally stop in. I think I was most hesitant b/​c their website just doesn’t do them justice. Amazing and ample selection, super friendly staff, very reasonably priced. prob a good thing I was on a time crunch!

Unique trendy clothing in this store, but that’s just it. Sometimes trendy stuff isn’t made too well. Bought several items on sale last time and when I got home and went to wear a skirt I noticed a good sized rip in it. I just told myself that’s whys it’s on sale dummy! I should have looked more closely BEFORE I bought it not after. Nothing else I’ve ever seen was ripped, so that’s not their normal way of doing things.
I did buy a small bottle of perfume from this store and to this day it smells the best, it’s light and soft. I like their sunglasses too. Get lots of compliments on them.
The sales girls have gotten way friendlier. Very happy about that! Very cute stuff in this store, we buy a lot of gifts for friends here.

cute store. kinda like anthropologie wannabe type stuff. the store was filled with old ladies and a couple 20 somethings. they had a couple cute things but im sure its expensive. help is pretty minimum here but ya i probably wont be back. the stuff they had was pretty plain here

Very trendy but very mediocre, poor quality clothes. Seems promising at first, but once you start looking closer, you realize the markup on these pieces is ridiculous!
Salesgirls are hit-​or-​miss, mostly miss. Maybe they greet you but that’s about it, and that depends on whether you’re lucky or not.
I also want to comment on their sister store that is a few doors down called «OPT» or something like that. Another cute-​from-​the-​outside storefront that once you get inside you realize is not all that. This is a more grown-​up version of No Rest for Bridget… more streamlined pieces, a little more chic and adult, less teeny-​bopper. They also have home goods, but very limited, and overall WAY overpriced.
But in terms of customer service, this place is even worse! The times I’ve come in they don’t even greet the customer, maybe they’re profiling and figure because I’m in gym clothes they won’t make a sale? I dunno, but they’re so engrossed in their personal conversations that the customer feels totally unwelcome. The last time I was there, two of the salesgirls were chatting with a customer or co-​worker (I couldn’t tell which) and as SOON as she left they starting talking badly about her, her boyfriend and whatever else she’d been telling them. Unprofessional? Um, yeah. Rude? Completely. Why the owners of these two stores allow this kind of customer service is beyond me since clearly i’m not in the minority here… just read the reviews.

Great amazing deals such cute and high quality clothes for a good price. I come here all the time and always fine way to much. Addicting I can say for sure. Perfect for finding gifts for family or friends. Great customer service. Clothes are all up to date fashion and classy

I love No rest for Bridget. Been shopping here since day one. I love all the girls that work their. they get new stuff weekly and very cute stuff. Great place to shop at or buy gifts.

I came in here to get some last minute christmas gifts for my coworkers, first of all, I am a guy; and we all know that as men we are bad gift givers. It’s just our pre disposition.
Anyways, let’s cut to the chase — everyone was super friendly and helped me pick out stuff that would fit my coworkers style just based off of what I told them.
They even helped me box everything up. I’ll probably never come here again unless I need another last minute gift for a woman, but I give this place 5 stars! I believe Chelsea was the main girl who helped me, if that means anything.

Giving a star only because I have to. Everytime I come into this store, the girls are rude and not helpful at all. I never get assistance from any of the staff, and they are quite snobby. The store in Huntington is a little bit better, as the girls are somewhat helpful, but overall poor experience with this company. If I were the owner of this business I would want to know exactly how my customers are being treated and would make every effort to make changes because this place needs it-​badly.

One of my jobs is a retail store that thrives on customer service and making guests feel welcome. After several times shopping this location I felt the need to stress how friendly and genuine the ladies always are. You can tell when someone is doing their job or going above it. I hateeee shopping so it takes a lot to get me into a store especially on a Sunday but Kimmy Camille and Nicole were beyond sweet (asked their names so I could write a shout out) plus this store has a super cute variety of up to date things without breaking the bank.

I’m a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews. Lived in the area for 3 years and every single day that I did, I would get my morning coffee from the Starbucks next door.
They always had the cutest clothes displayed and I would go in to browse every now and then. I was still in school and didn’t have much to spend and always went towards the back for their sale items. I would only purchase items every couple of months and not once did I ever feel the employees were snotty or exercised unacceptable customer service. They were always pretty helpful.

For some reason I don’t always find a ton of clothes here although I stop in frequently and the store is always stocked with new cute items. Not sure why the stuff doesn’t always fit me right. Oh well.
Reasonable prices and I actually have found the staff quite helpful. I have bought lots of birthday presents here because they have really cute and cheap accessories. Nice selection of candles and perfumes too. And they gift wrap with cute little bows on the bags.

O. K…I’m rating two stars for one reason and one reason only: HELLACIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I’ve shopped here for years, both in this location and in the one on the Peninsula. NRFB is pretty much a Forever 21 but they also stock some higher end candles and things like Butter nail polish. My teen nieces love it here and I’ve gotten them both a few things that they have loved here. I’ve also picked up a few things for myself like maxi dresses, scarves and jewelry.
The problem in here is with the super unfriendly sales help. Here’s the thing: when a customer hands you a credit card, DO NOT hand it back to them by just putting it on the counter! Please show some common courtesy and hand it back to the customer by placing in their hands! How would YOU like it it a customer handed YOU a credit card and instead of actually placing it in your hands, the customer put it on the counter and made you pick it up off the counter???
Another thing: At the end of the transaction, please ask the customer if she would like the receipt or is it OK to put it in the bag? I always file my receipts in my wallet and I don’t want them in the bag. While we are on that subject: when handing the customer her purchase DON’T just say «Here you go»…please say something like… er I don’t know… how about something like «THANK YOU»!!! Geez… I simply cannot believe that the young woman working last night was so utterly clueless about how to treat customers. Customers are the lifeblood of any business and and ANY business lives or dies by REPEAT BUSINESS. NO business wants a customer to walk out the door thinking: «I will NEVER set foot in this store again».
Also, when you need to stop what you are doing to ring up a customer don’t act like you are being bothered or put out. I realize that you need to put stock back on the floor, but ringing up a PAYING customer is the main reason you have a job.
I realize it is the Christmas season and and the sales help in any store at this time of the year is over worked and under paid. How do I know this? Well, I have worked retail in my broke-​as-​a-​joke college student days. I worked retail year round, not just Christmas but I know Christmas is the WORST for a retail worker. They get rude customers, they work long hours and they get paid squat. For these reasons, I am always nice to the retail-​hell downtrodden. I’m not a customer from hell prima donna, I just expect a little politeness, respect and common courtesy.
To the manager at NRFB: Hold a sales meeting PRONTO! Go over the basics of customer service. Stress the the importance of smiling, being polite, how to return a credit card to a customer, and telling customers «Thank-​you, please come again»! If your employees give customers a warm fuzzy feeling, they WILL return again.
