John H (?) of Reliable Rooter was great in running a mainline cable to clear roots in our pipes that caused a terrible back-​up in both bathrooms. Reliable Rooter was able to come within 2 hours after I called when a previous plumbing company came out for 3 hours and could not fix the problem. I was extremely frustrated with the previous company when I was told that I would have to call another company to do the job!
I can’t tell you how happy and relieved I was to have John’s patience and experience to take care of a problem that another company couldn’t fix. I would highly recommend Reliable Rooter and John and will definitely call him again in the future.

I am super picky… I want value, good service, honesty and a simple call if you are late for the appointment due to traffic. And also… don’t leave me anything to clean up. I have enough to do! No problem. Reliable Plumbing (the one on College Street) gives me that along with a really friendly plumber named Johnny Rey (sp??). I researched a new water heater install for a month (get a Bradford White brand) and I had Johnny do the job after I interviewed three highly recommend companies. Johnny just left after a kitchen faucet install. Nice guy. Nice company.

We use them for our rental houses and have done a great job for the few jobs we have had them out for. I called less then an hour before they closed and they were able to come out in about 30 minutes and fixed the clogged washer drain pipe quickly!
Will definitely use them again!!!

We had a huge flood in our parking lot. Johnny Ray was very knowledgable and fast. Was able to pump all the water and subsequently fixed our water pump. I called Rescue Rooter first but they were sadly out of there league. Did nothing and charged me $ 400.Reliable Plumbing has the the best staff and reasonable rates. Highly recommend.

Honest and quick response. I had a backflow device stolen from my property. Reliable had me up and running with a security cage placed around the new device by the afternoon. I cannot thank them enough. John did a great job. I highly recommend Reliable Plumbing.

Like clockwork every 2 years my kitchen sink clogs up (of course right before the holiday) I had used George Brazil/​Mike Diamond for many years but found they were overcharging me and trying to add more charges once on site. So I spent some time looking for a new plumbing company and based on the reviews decided to try Reliable. Left a message Sunday afternoon and first thing Monday Sarah called to schedule an appointment for the afternoon; called again to let me know John could come earlier which he did. Cleaned out the drain, made some good suggestions about keeping out the guck that accumulates, checked laundry and bath to make sure they were o.k. when he was done — He was in and out in a minimum amount of time and I will definitely use this company again — They are professional, reliable and honest. A rare quality these days.

After 3 different plumbers ran for hills when they saw the job of fixing our shower, which wasn’t running cold water, John at Reliable Rooter and Plumbing stuck with us and fixed it. He tracked down the part needed and didn’t give up on us. Not only is John knowledgeable, but he and the other technicians and office staff are professional and personable. I highly recommend this company.

I woke up to a gnarly scene in my bathroom on the day after Christmas. Sewage was backing up into my tub and my toilet was completely clogged. I couldn’t get a hold of my landlord, so I hit Unilocal to take matters into my own hands. Based purely on the fact that these guys had great reviews and served Costa Mesa, I gave them a call. I was told the technicians would be out within an hour. About 15 minutes later, they showed up, snaked the main line and order was restored. It was actually impacting the other tenants in my building but I was the first one to notice the problem.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I choose to rent so I don’t have to normally deal with this kind of thing first hand but it is nice to know that if I ever do need such a service, these guys are close by.
I also think they charged me a very fair price for the kind of responsiveness, professionalism and service I received.

I have an old house that needs something at least once a year — I have been using this business since 2007 — they always show up on time — never gouge you and really professional and honest. They are just great! I can’t recommend them more highly! My hot water heater broke on a Saturday and they got the part early Monday and got the job done. I would never call anyone else — they are a class act.

These guys are really, really good. On Friday late afternoon I had my annual drain problem, kitchen sink and laundry room — I told Erika the problem and she gave me a quote over the phone — SIMPLE — None of this «free estimate» stuff. It’s a simple problem that has the same simple fix every year — snake the line on my roof and be done in 20 minutes. Paid what I was quoted. That’s it. No hassle. Thank you, John.

I had one plumber out who couldn’t help me and suggested I call another plumber. Really. I called these guys and had a completely different experience. Plumbing problems can be stressful and their guy (John) was really chill and knew what he was doing and fixed the problem for a fair price. Highest recommendation.

We hired Reliable Rooter to come over and inspect drain pipes with a video camera. They quoted me a fair price over the phone and the technician John came over the next day during my time slot.
He really took his time to carefully inspect everything and then showed me the video while explaining every detail about what I was looking at.
Very thorough, professional, and priced right for the job.
We will use them again in the future and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to a family member or friend.

I called them at 9am to fix a leaky faucet. The woman I spoke to gave me a window of 11 – 1 that day. The plumber got to our place at 11 on the dot. He was friendly, courteous, and most importantly, able to assess the situation quickly and efficiently. He ran out to buy the parts needed, replaced them and had our water back on and the leaky faucet fixed by 12:30pm. Great service and reasonably priced.

I live in an old house and need a plumber yearly. I’ve used them three times now and they’re great. Always on time, courteous, the technician is super nice and knowledgeable, the office staff is incredibly nice, and their prices are good — just overall great company.

My backyard drain has slowly been backing up. After spending two weekends trying to fix it myself, I threw in the towel and started searching for plumber/​rooter. I started with the usual’s Roto Rooter and Mr. Rooter. I’m sure that they both would have done a good job, with the latter being slightly cheaper per hour, but I was drawn to try Robert and his Reliable Rooters. Jude’s review here on Unilocal definitely helped along with a couple of reviews on other sites. I also liked the idea that they charged by job, and not by the hour. They were also willing to give a quote over the phone and their staff was very prompt at returning calls.
As with most service companies, they give a window of when they will arrive. My window was between 9 – 11 am. John, our plumber arrived at 11 am. Not a huge deal for me since I was a bit sluggish this morning anyway. They start with the usual disclaimer that there is no guarantee that they will unclog the drain and there is also no warranty. Ok … not much I can do there, let’s get it fixed.
John was a great guy and he gave it his all. My only fear was that he’d give up after a couple of minutes of trying leaving me at a loss with my flat rate payment scheme. He did not disappoint me though. He worked on the drain for 3 hours and only gave up once it reached an acceptable state. Final prognosis was that he did all he could, but there could be some tree roots penetrating the pipes that traditional tools can not handle.
At any rate, I’m happy. My drain is much better than it was last week which is perfect for this nice sunny Socal weather we’re having. I would definitely recommend this company and I’m extremely happy that I went with them. I’m sure that the other players out there would’ve done a similar job, but I would have easily spent twice as much.

So with the wife panicked about 4 inches of water in the shower and no operating toilets, I give 3 local plumbers a call at 3pm on a Saturday.
Robert at Reliable Rooter & Plumbing answered my call and had somebody to my house in 30 minutes. John did a great job removing the blockage from the main to the street. He cleared out some tree roots and had answers to my questions about preventative maintenance.
The cost was less than expected and I would definitely do business with them again and recommend them to a friend.
