We are the world’s only still and video portrait studio — and we love to capture «day in the life» style family videos. We have a documentary approach, and our videographer will spend the day with your family to capture what your life is like today.

We also offer first birthday cake smash photos for your baby and we love to capture creative pregnancy photography of your belly. We take all of our newborn photos when the babes are between the age of 5 and 10 days old, and we recommend calling us several months in advance to ensure our availability. Family photography is popular year round, and we love to shoot either at our Los Angeles studio or on location.

We also specialize in birthday party and event photography. Our on-​location photographer will come to your party location and document every detail for you.

One of the best experience in customer service I have ever had. Not only are the staff accommodating, sweet, caring and professional, they are, more importantly, patient and experienced. We took our 2 week old for a photo session and had an awesome experience. Our baby woke up a few times crying so we had to wait for her to go back to sleep. Everybody was very patient and gave us our space to take care of her throughout the entire afternoon. It was a long session but well worth it. I would recommend Pod Photography above all other services.

My husband and I decided to try The Pod Photography for our 2nd child because we wanted something different and unique. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! Their website and gallery is amazing but it doesn’t capture how amazing Erika and her team are as well. Before your photo shoot, Erika will sit down with you to explain the process and gather information on the types of photos you’d like to see (i.e. colors, themes, outfits). She explains everything very thoroughly and dedicates a considerable amount of time designing the shoot so that when you arrive for your appointment, everything is setup and ready-​to-​go. Anyone who has kids can definitely appreciate this because they know there’s a finite amount of time before they all turn into pumpkins. What’s also nice is they provide an elaborate wardrobe for kids. We ended up using a lot of their stuff because their clothes were way cuter!
I must say, I knew we’d end up with great photos judging from their previous work, but what I never could have imagined was the amazing, once in a lifetime photos they would capture that I absolutely can’t wait to proudly display at home. Erika, Leah, and Halley were all lovely to work with and just so amazing with our kids. We purchased the Ultimate First Year which includes a newborn, 7 month, and 1 year session. We’ve only completed one session so far but we’re already looking forward to the next 2 sessions. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is seeing my kids grow up that fast!

What a fantastic experience! I love the one year photos of our Lily. We’ve done newborn and six-​month photos with other photographers. They’ve been fine. The Pod, however, exceeded all of our expectations. Leah, Halley, and the other ladies are great to work with – always responsive and receptive to ideas.
Lily came in for her one year shoot (with cake smash). When I mentioned that Lily’s one year party theme was vintage cowgirl, Leah got inspired and came up with an amazing set for Lily’s cake smash. All of the sets are adorable, by the way. Our family and pre-​smash baby photos were perfectly executed. It was a comfortable and laid-​back environment, which got us some great photos. I would highly recommend The Pod to anyone looking to perfectly capture their little nugget!

Last week we took new born photos with Erica. We’ve done baby photos in the past with our older son, but having them taken at the pod was such a different experience. Erica and her staff really have it all figured out, right down to the baby warmer and shushing machine. The studio with fresh baked cookies was amazing. Everything was ready to go when we walked in. We are so great ful for how wonderful and how efficient they were. We can hardly wait to see the photos!

Stopped by for new baby photoshoot and Erika and her staff was wonderful and amazing X 1000!!! The way they work with your baby cannot be put into words! Our baby was so fussy this morning I would have been happy with 2 – 3 sets but somehow she pulled off every set we wanted including some extremely challenging shots!!! I was more than impressed with her patience and professionalism and skill to make any picture essentially possible. Basically if you come here, you will get your money’s worth because you will get exactly what you wish for and memory of a lifetime!

My newborn photos are absolutely gorgeous!!! Service is truly 5 stars, right from the initial consultation until the photo package meeting. The sets and photo layouts are done with absolute taste. I swore that I was never going to be «that mom» who had glam shots taken of their baby– but I am SO glad that we decided to get Erika and team to take beautiful pictures of our little girl.
The Pod Photography experience is amazing — Erika worked with us in advance of our shoot to get information about what we did/​did not like and made sure to incorporate those themes into the different shots. There was fantastic communication, and we felt like our requests and feedback were definitely listened to.
The studio is beautiful and very cozy — we had no concerns bringing our little newborn there. Erika and team were so gentle with her and made sure we were always comfortable with whatever they were doing. There is also a nice private family area where we were able to do last minute touchups/​diaper changes and feed the baby. The day of the shoot was super relaxed and not rushed, and we felt like all of the moments/​pictures we wanted were captured.

My experience at The Pod Photography Studio was ridiculous welcoming.
Erika, Halley & Natalie were all smiles and completely understanding with my newborn & my son, They knew how to get him out of his comfort zone. They had a comfy family room & variety of yummy snacks, which really comes handy when you have a newborn, and last minutes touch up. During my newborn session, she became fussy but Erika & the team comforted her and knew exactly what to do. In results came the most adorable pictures.
I would totally recommend The Pod Photography who wants wonderful pictures and experience.

The Pod Photography hands down is the best place to go! Our experience was outstanding! Leah was our photographer who along with everyone else was fantastic with our son Jacob. About a month ago we took our son elsewhere and wish that we just came to the pod photography from the beginning. We will definitely be coming back. The Pod Photography was amazing to work with. Not only is their work gorgeous, but the experience as a first time mom was so incredibly comfortable. We were given a private area to breastfeed, change any diapers, do my makeup, and drink tea! I came in feeling really anxious about how my newborn daughter would survive such a long afternoon, but we both left feeling so relaxed and happy! For a new mom, it felt like a spa day.
Erika and her team were great to work with. Everyone was warm, helpful and professional. The photographs are beautiful and will be amazing keepsakes. So glad we came here for our newborn session!

If you need maternity pictures or newborn baby pictures, Pod Photography is your answer! Erika has a tremendous passion that is infectious and it shows in her work. We used their service for maternity photos and were so happy with the results that we decided to use them again for newborn pictures with our beautiful son! They have a bunch of different stagings, different outfits and cute hats to put on your baby so when you review your pictures it feels like you had 3 different photo shoots with all the variety!
With this huge set of awesome pictures we now were able to make some nice gifts! Eriak helped us custom make a necklace with our baby son inside and most recently we just made a calendar for xmas gifts for our relatives with a beautiful picture of our son with a different background setting and «get up» (clothing) for each month!
I’d highly recommend Pod Photography for anyone who is willing for top notch quality work.

Our new born has finally arrived ! And we couldn’t have been more excited to take her pictures here at the pod :) After having a C section I was feeling horrible and under the weather but as we took our baby girl to have her newborn pictures taken Erika and staff had everything under control :) They were so kind offering beverages and telling me just to sit back and relax and not to worry :) We also had some ideas to have a Star Wars theme for our baby also a football theme and not one of them judged our ideas :) I love that I can give ideas and feel so comfortable about saying what I vision for the pictures and Erika and the girls take my ideas and make them into realities ! :D If I could go back in time I’d still chose the pod photography all over again ! Even when I didn’t feel well it was still a wonderful experience :)

We recently brought in our toddler and newborn to The Pod Photography to have their very first photo shoot and I could not be happier. Erika and her team did a phenomenal job of capturing our two little ones. The images turned out better than we ever imagined and their studio is absolutely beautiful. They did such a great job of making us comfortable and our kids comfortable right away that we were able to get all of the images we had hoped for. After an extensive search for newborn photographers (via Unilocal), I decided that The Pod Photography had the look, style, and quality that I was looking for. Plus their glowing reviews don’t hurt either!
When I called in, I spoke with Erika, who covered what they offered and what we could expect. She followed up with a more detailed e-​mail with information and pricing and we ended up booking an initial visit and a photo shoot for my 9 day old baby!
For my initial visit, I was showed around the studio and got to see the various outfits and accessories they have for the babies. We reviewed sample pictures and styled our photo shoot based off the colors, props, and outfits that I liked. I also got to meet the rest of the team and everyone was really sweet.
The day of the photo shoot, my mom came with me to provide moral (and creative) support. We got to relax a little bit in the back room to start things out, as I needed to feed and change my baby girl before we got started. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and we weren’t rushed to get started. Erika made sure that we (especially my baby) were all comfortable before we started our session. All the sets were pre-​staged for when we arrived, which was great and a huge time saver.
During my baby’s photo shoot, my mom and I got to sit on a comfy couch, were offered cookies and water, and just sat back and watched the magic happen. Erika has a special way with newborns… seriously! She positioned my baby girl with ease and little fuss… I have no idea how she does it. Halley was Erika’s partner-​in-​crime for our session and she helped keep my baby positioned and camera-​ready. Oh! and the studio has a bunch of small portable heaters that keep the little models nice and sleepy.
After the photo shoot, the team is great with follow up and communication, up until your follow up appointment to review the pictures.
Overall, our experience was great! I highly recommend Erika and The Pod team :-) Be sure to book well in advance, as newborns should be no older than 10 days old on the day of the shoot!

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Erika and her team. We first met them at their studio last fall to prepare for our maternity shoot. The studio is absolutely adorable and we were made to feel right at home with drinks and cookies. After going over various setups we decided to shoot in Temescal Canyon. On the day of the shoot we met Erika and she was game for anything. My husband can be a bit goofy and I can be a bit stiff in front of the camera, she took us both in stride and we ended up with some amazing photos.
Our little one arrived December 31st and we were back in the studio a few days later for her newborn shoot. I should also mention that in tow came our English Bulldog, Grandma and my sister. On top of that our baby decided to have her most awake day that morning and the patience that everyone had to get the perfect shot still amazes me.
I’m already thinking about what we’ll be doing for our next photo shoot and can’t wait to partner up with The Pod Photography once again.
