Amazing! I took my family to lunch and I must say this is the BEST Hibachi place I have ever been. The food was great, service was amazing and the portions were perfect! I highly recommend you drive the extra few miles and give this place a try. :-)

Went for the first time Thursday and I completely loved it. The kids enjoyed the show! We will be coming back again! The service was great !

Moldy chopsticks, bland food that begs for salt, sloppy servers, and inconsistent sushi. Make the drive to Ninja at Hamilton Mill, it’s much better.

Delicious. Always the best and friendliest service and freshest sushi! I love sitting at the sushi bar watching the chefs make the different rolls. Tonight we had American Dream Roll, Double Trouble special roll and salmon and tuna nigiri. Every time we come we get top notch service! Best in Dacula!!!

Very fresh sushi. Probably some of the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly goofy sushi chefs that accommodate your needs quite well.

Great sushi, great atmosphere, and great service. Vincent is our favorite server, stopped in a few weeks ago for our first time and he was very polite and attentive. Sushi chefs are awesome. My wife and I like to judge our sushi restaurants by their spicy tuna hand rolls and these guys don’t hold back on loading those up. Going to miss this place, we’re moving to Athens… if anyone has a recommendation around Athens for good sushi let us know!

Service here was top knotch. The wait staff was very friendly and prompt. Orders where delivered exactly as ordered and drinks refilled before they ever got empty. The sushi here is very good. Had several rolls including some of their specialty ones. They all exceeded our expectations. We will certainly be returning.

We always have fun at Taki. The kids love the hibachi and hubs and I typically have sushi. Our favorite is angel roll, rainbow roll and tuna sashimi.

We tried Taki for the first time about 4 months ago. It’s easily the best food in the Dacula area. We eat there on a regular basis now when we want sushi or when we can afford to spend $ 60+ on dinner. It’s not cheap, but the food is really good. You get huge portions! We usually order a couple of sushi rolls and combination dinners and eat in the dining area, not at the hibachi. They have really tasty, fresh, tight rolled sushi! I love their Spider Roll, Rainbow Roll and Volcano Rolls. The service is most always excellent! The last time we visited, they seemed understaffed and we waited a while for our food/drink refills, but hopefully that was just a fluke. It is crowded pretty much every night of the week, so get there early.

Best sushi, best customer service and best hibachi. We frequent this place several times a week and it gets better every time.

Great variety of sushi! I’ve had hibachi and the mango roll. The mango roll was very good. Hibachi was ok. They put way too much butter on the fried rice and the bacon overload is overwhelming. They have a great happy hour menu on Fri and Sat. Overall, it’s great to have a hibachi restaurant in Dacula!

Went here last night and enjoyed the evening: atmosphere, food, service, and company best of all. ;) A cute and cozy restaurant in the city of Dacula that’s about 10 minutes away from the Mall of Georgia. It’s tucked quite a good bit away among the quiet neighborhoods in the area so the drive there was serene. I ordered the Taki dynamite roll and a roll with crawfish on top(not featured on the online menu version – sorry). The dynamite roll was pretty good, and the date agreed. For something fried, it could have been more crisp, but it was good nonetheless. The salmon and crab with the asparagus was totally different and delish. I would def rec this roll. The crawfish roll was unique: wrapped in rice or soy paper(?). The crawfish atop this roll was soggy. Yeah. It was almost a paste. Strange… The roll had a tad too much sodium in our opinion. Overall, it was different and had its uniqueness. This is not a bad roll by any means if you’re getting that impression. A doable roll. Give it a go? I also had a sampling of the date’s lobster, filet mignon, and shrimp combo(?). The shrimp was decently sized and tasty. Since I am not much of a shrimp fan, this statement goes a long way. Lol. The steak was well seasoned and delish. Though I am not a steak eater as well, the date confirmed that it was indeed up to par. The lobster was good, but it was a tad over salted. Perhaps because it was cooked with the other items which had a tad more salt. Other than this, the lobster’s portion size was decently sized. A good combo value for 3 meat types. Service was attentive and friendly. Aside from them forgetting our second roll, everything was spectacular. The atmosphere was nice. You have the bar and regular seating areas, and there’s also a much larger area for the hibachi side. Even for a Tuesday evening around 8:30PM, there was a good crowd here with a few to-go orders. I can’t imagine being here on a more popular Friday or Saturday evening. Overall a great place for good food, service, and atmosphere. Prices weren’t bad either with daily specials. Tuesday happened to be 20% off sushi rolls. A good night for my sushi crave. :) Parking was plentiful since this area was pretty far out and among the residential neighborhoods. There’s a large Kroger complex that can be your point of reference. If looking at Kroger, Taki is set off to the left hand side along a mini strip. You will see AT&T on the opposite end of Taki.

Good service, went with wife and son for sushi and hibachi. 5 sushi specialty rolls all were fantastic. The I hate you roll was my favorite it is a spicy roll topped with a jalapeño slice. I dipped it in eel sauce for a sweet and spicy mix. The angel roll was my 2nd favorite. I asked the chef to do a spicy friend rice. 5 star!!! Not just sa racha aside he added a pepper sauce that kicked it up to a whole new level. Great over all experience will return in future. Wednesday kids eat free

Very, very, very awesome sushi! Best sushi I’ve had my whole life. I enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar, where several others were sitting as well. The sushi chefs were very fast, very friendly, and quite humorous. I didn’t care much for the waitress but wanted sushi. We went on a Thursday and they also had dollar sushi as well. Very tasty, very fresh. We bought several specialty rolls including dollar sushi. I frequently tell my friends and coworkers about this awesome place! Haven’t had the hibachi yet.

This is the best sushi bar around!!! I live in Atlanta and spend the weekends with my boyfriend in Dacula. This is the best sushi I have ever had! Seriously they blow Atlanta away. The sashimi is always fresh and amazing. You can’t beat the price! Also if you love hibachi it is just as great! Tell Mike the sushi chef I said hi he is awesome. And you can’t beat the service that Vincent provides. Please give this local spot a try you won’t be disappointed!

Unfortunately we were left unimpressed. We had to wait at our table for the cook for almost 30 minutes. Service was attentive and friendly. Our cook messed up our order and gave half of the meal to other people. The food was average at best. With the other choices for Japanese in the area, we will not be back.

So delicious! I was in town from Oregon on business and sat at the sushi bar. Super friendly and helpful. I asked for suggestions and went with what was recommended. Glad I did. Rock shrimp appetizer was great. Slightly sweet and cucumbers on bottom pare perfectly. Then had the Angel roll. Spicy tuna, salmon, avocado, siracha sauce and wasabi. flavorful. Given two free samples of fried white fish and then a tuna bowl with Jalapeños and carrots with sesame oil and avocado. Amazing! The name slips my mind, but by far my favorite. Guys were funny and made my night. Great experience!

Sad that this place didn’t open sooner when I went to the high school right down the street! I was visiting one of my girlfriends, and we decided to try this place out. I am so glad we did. The service and food is amazing. The interior is also beautiful! We ordered: the rock Shrimp Appetizer, 3 orders of eel nigiri, American Dream Roll, Philadelphia Roll & the Lobster Roll. The rock shrimp appetizer and the lobster roll was my favorite. I can’t wait to come back. The sushi rolls are a bit smaller than other places like niko niko and ninja though. If I am in town, I will definitely visit. PS: Check their website for daily specials.

I’ve never tried the hibachi as I can’t seem to get past the sushi and drink section as you walk in… and why would I with these options and flavors?! I have learned to trust the special, whatever it is, as it’s not the«what we are trying to get rid of» type special, it’s the ‘brilliant idea of the night’ kinda special that sushi lovers dream of. Additionally, they are gluten-free knowledgeable and accommodating which is huge when it’s not a choice. They will edit rolls to take out tempura and serve gluten-free soy sauce on request. Prices are average for quality sushi and portions are slightly better than average. Never a concern on quality or service — a great little secret tucked away in tiny Dacula!

I kissed a sushi roll and I liked it! Let me start by saying this place looks incredible. I’m so happy Dacula is starting to grow up and is attracting more upscale restaurants for excellent dining close to home. Located in the new Kroger shopping complex, this literally was a field with cows 12 years ago when we moved here. Taki is outside my normal selection of restaurants, but they just recently opened not too far from our home and we wanted to show this local business some support. We stopped by for a few appetizers, but discovered children under 10 eat free on Wednesday nights and decided to order more than we originally planned. Now, I’m no Japanese steakhouse expert, but I was pleased with everything we sampled tonight. At the end of our meal, my wife(who rarely raves about food), was so please that she immediately said«I want to come here for my birthday next month.» She even wrote a rare review once we got back home, which to me is a big deal because she has to connect strongly with a place to want to review it. — — — — — - — - — - THEDETAILS Date & Time: Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 @ 6:30pm Dining Companions: Wife and kids What to expect: Outstanding interior, eager to please staff Liquid: water only Ordered: *Seafood Spring Roll appetizers(4 stars out of 5) — $ 6.50 *Fried Calamari appetizer(3.5÷5) — $ 7.95 *Vegetable Hibachi w/white rice(5⁄5) — $ 11.95 *Kid’s Shrimp Hibachi w/fried rice(5⁄5) — $ 0.00 *Mango Roll(3.75 star out of 5) — $ 10.95 *Taki Soup(5⁄5) — complimentary *House salad w/ginger dressing(4⁄5) — complimentary TOTAL — $ 39.59 Tonight was my very first time having a sushi roll. I must admit that I didn’t fall in love at first bite, but it grew on me as I ate more. By the time we cleared the plate, I was starting to enjoy the taste! I’m still too much of a carnivore to see myself eating this regularly, but I’ll be willing to try some of the other selections. One thing for sure, one of those Hibachi stations has my name all over it on our next visit to Taki. PS. I’ve lived 4 decades now and have never had wasabi until tonight. I thought this green paste on my plate was guacamole and shoved a spoonful into my mouth. The table next to us screamed out to me «Nooooooo», but it was too late! I swear this stuff is from the Devil, because it’s hot enough to make a Christian cuss! You would have thought I just worked out for an hour as hard as I began to sweat. Note to self: Don’t do that again.
