I have three homeowners policies through Lakewood Insurance, and I have always been pleased with the service and the rates. I’ve known Louis, the owner, for many years, and anytime I’ve ever had a problem with a claim or with getting my mortgage holder to communicate with my insurer, Louis was on top of it and taking care of it immediately. He also found us great rates. And I’m the sort of customer who is extremely forgetful about paperwork, so Louis frequently has to follow up with me. He never complains or even hints that he’s frustrated (even though it has to be frustrating), he just keeps reminding me. It’s really cool that in the age of massive robocall centers located in the Himalayas, Lakewood Insurance sees the value in face-​to-​face connections with customers.

I’ve been with Lakewood insurance for several years and love it. I like having a guy and a girl (Louis and Jessica) to handle stuff and not just a random person on the phone in a cubicle city somewhere.
They always take care of me, let me know if there’s a company with a lower rate for me, and paying is super easy. I just call to pay every month.

About 4 years ago State Farm more than doubled my insurance for no discernible reason. I walked into Lakewood Insurance and he took the time to shop my policy around and cut it by around $ 400 for the same exact coverage.
After a couple of years my homeowners came up and he couldn’t save me as much because he advised me to get more coverage than I previously had… which was kind of a bitter pill. BUT when the hail storm hit I was very lucky to have such a good policy. They had my property assessed before any of my neighbors and I had ample money with a minimal deductible for a new roof, windows, paint, carport along with miscellaneous damaged items.
You can go online and get a price, but being able to walk into someones’ office and get advice is worth a lot in my book.

Lakewood insurance has taken care of me since about 2006. I switched from Allstate to them. As an independent agent, they can shop multiple companies and always find the lowest rate. The owner is a great guy, and will bend over backwards to serve his customers. He’s one of the few business owners that still believes in good customer service. He saved me hundreds of dollars off my policies.

I have had car insurance from Louis at Lakewood Insurance for about 7 years. Not only is it affordable, but he will periodically check around for me to see if he can get a better price for me with another company. That’s the best part about having an independent agent, because he works with so many companies.
Last year, he suggested I switch to Progressive, which was going to be a bit cheaper, so I did.
He also specializes in motorcycle/​scooter insurance, and everyone I know with one of those uses him.
He’s a really nice guy, to boot, and I’ll often stop by and just hang out for a little bit and we laugh at LOLcats and stupid jokes.
It’s like the Lakewood version of Floyd’s Barbershop from «The Andy Griffith Show,» but he’s not creepy like Floyd. He’ll let you bring your dog in to visit, too!
