SpringHill Suites Dallas NW Highway at Stemmons/I-35E

I have stayed here twice now… And while it’s a marriott that hasn’t been updated in quite a while… At least it’s clean? They also provide a complimentary breakfast… Although it’s just the standard hotel breakfast you’ve come to know and (kind of because it’s free) love.
This is also one of the close marriott properties to Dallas Love field — the drive is about 15 minutes. It is also more reasonably priced than the near by marriott rennisance and less hassle than getting to the Marriott properties downtown. Additionally, I had no problem finding parking when I pulled up around 3:30 pm.
Most Springhill’s by now have an updated large lobby with tvs, a simple menu… And a BAR! This springhill didn’t even have the grab and go beers in the «market section»
The staff here have been friendly on all my visits… A nice upgrade would do this place some good!

Overall it’s a pretty great hotel. Newly renovated. Nice rooms. Reasonably priced (prices obviously vary).
Free wifi and hot breakfast. The breakfast is pretty good. Several options to choose from.
Free beers during happy hour M-​Thursday.
Note: this location has off duty cops/​homeland security positioned there ²⁴⁄₇. One of them was a completely rude and clearly loved to throw his power around. One of the nights we stayed there (11pm), I tried to inform the front desk that 10 cars/​trucks were double parked in the parking lot which resulted in no spaces available. So I asked if he was going to tow them or where we should park? Then the cop decided to interject (behind me, not behind the desk) that the hotel was full and nothing can be done. I ignored him and waited for the response of the hotel employee… the cop continued to interject his 2 cents the entire time I spoke to the employee. I was extremely annoyed. What business did the cop have trying to shout at me while I’m trying to resolve a situation with an employee of the hotel?

Awful hotel. Can’t believe Marriott would have their name even attached to this location. Bugs in the rooms and clearly a smoking hotel. Immediately complained about the room and lack of cleanliness in order to get refunded. Our family is an avid fan of Marriotts but this has to be one of the worst experiences. Take our advice and book elsewhere!

Beds here are REALLY comfortable! Their white comforters were very cold and fluffy. Room was pretty clean too, and the complimentary breakfast was very well stocked. Sausage eggs toast waffles Cinnabon looking pastries… Very plentiful. I would definitely stay here again. Not bad for its price!

Breakfast in the lobby was great! Fresh cut fruit. Ham, cheese, Canadian Bacon, Greek yogurt and more!
Reasonably priced and the staff was super friendly and accomodating.

Our room had 2 Tv’s which was great because I hate laying in bed watching and my husband could watch something else.
Maybe it’s just Texas, because I like everything here. Last week in April and I just came from SNOW in Western NY.

While this isn’t the fanciest hotel, it’s fairly nice and clean. The staff here are friendly and they even tried looking for coupons for the aquarium we’re going to. The rooms were clean with no blanket stains, and there are plenty of towels and wash rags. Our room had a cute little living room area with the biggest hotel mini fridge I’ve ever seen. There are two tv’s in here that have good channels. The shower was amazing and the water got hot almost instantly. The indoor jacuzzi is huge and felt wonderful, and the pool wasn’t overcrowded. We haven’t had to deal with any loud noise or obnoxious people. This seems to be a very dependable hotel with good quality service. It’s a small hotel so it wasn’t crowded or crazy, which I honestly prefer.

Marriott needs to cut all ties with this property!!! If your card will not swipe a credit-​card machine, they will not put it in manually. If the same card is on your Marriott Rewards account, they still will not put in manually.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ONE. Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze or Copper mean nothing here.

The staff was super friendly and willing to assist in any way. The suite was very spacious with a door separating the sleeping area from a sitting area. There were 2 TV’s, a frigerator, small microwave and generally everything you would want in the room. Breakfast was great with everything you would want. The spa seemed nice and the fitness room is basic but adequate. Everything seemed updated and well maintained. I would give it 5 stars but the room heater/​ac unit fan is too loud, to the point where I might not stay again because if you cannot get a decent night sleep what good is everything else. I might call ahead and ensure you get a room with a quiet fan.

Pros — Spacious, clean rooms with free Wi-​Fi.
Staff and management very nice. Will try their best to accommodate you such as with the shuttle services.
Shuttles are available and staff will take you within 3– miles of the hotel.
Nice running lake a mile away.
Hot breakfast with a variety of cereals, fruit, pastries, juices, and meats. Substantial foods served at Happy Hour rotating daily nachos with chili, hotdogs, cheeses, sandwiches, pizza and drinks.
Cons –Got stuck in elevator upon check-​in for ten minutes and call button did not function properly.
Area is rough and recommend not going outside at night. Chevron mini-​mart next to hotel is patronized by customers from the street usually purchasing either a 6-​pack or a forty. But… at least you can buy water there as hotel snacks are pricy.
Be great if there were a restaurant in the hotel for guests that just want to stay in and not rely on expensive order in places.

We chose to stay here based soley on the fact that it was within our points range & it was near the airport. We rolled in pretty late but the rep at the front desk was still very friendly.
Room: We stayed in 7 other hotels aside from this one and by far it was our favorite. The suite we got was ridiculously comfortable space wise. The room had a door to separate the room from a living room. There were two beds plus a pull out couch. You probably could fit 15 people in here comfortably.
Breakfast: They had the best breakfast out of all the places we stayed at. Waffles shaped like the state of Texas!
Free parking… although we had to park in the waaaaay back. Parking may be a problem during busy seasons.

I’ve stayed here a few times over the years and I have to say, this last time was *the last time*. I won’t be returning.
Oh don’t get me wrong — it’s pretty clean and has a delicious breakfast, as well as free internet. All of these are pluses.
The neighborhood is not so good these days and this last time I was inordinately annoyed by the noise from the air conditioner, as well as the security light right outside the window that kept making me think the sun had come up already.
I got a peek at the bill too, and honestly, so much better can be had for the money that it’s not even funny. I don’t recommend this spot unless you’re doing anything but traveling through town, and even then I think you can find better.

Nice hotel. Clean exterior and interior. They have happy hour as well with beer, wine and different types of finger food. Breakfast is some hot foods as well as cereal and fruit. I’ll stay there again next time I’m in town.
