One of my favorite bakeries. Everything is always fresh and the employees are super sweet. I’m picky about my cheese manoushi(cheese pie). I don’t like the bread so thick that I can’t taste the cheese and I definitely don’t like places that cheat and put a bit of cheese on a lot of bread and this place does it just how I like it. Bonus tip: get akawi cheese on mashrouha(very thin &crispy)bread. Yummo!

Really great service. Staff is very friendly. It’s better to order and take to go because there is few tables and limited seating… HOWEVER, we were a fairly large group and they quickly rearranged the tables to comfortably accmmodate us. We ordered a few different pies. My favorite was the simple zaatar pie. I’m a self proclaimed zaatar expert as it’s my favorite ‘food’ ever! Yum yum yum!

We were on the hunt for manoushe in Dearborn after spending the afternoon at the Arab American Musuem. Just a little background — I used to live in Beirut and the fiancé used to live in Dubai — so we know our manoushe. And after trying one out at the much spoken about New Yasmeen Bakery. we still were left unsatisfied and convinced ourselves that we had to stop off at Zaatar W Zeit for another.(The name caught our attention. it bears much similarity to a chain in the Middle East, but I won’t go there. ;)) This manoushe was just like I had remembered. all of my memories of Beirut came flooding back to me with one bite. Heaven.On.Earth. The bread was the perfect consistency. there was just the right amount of cheese, and the zaatar was pungent and flavorful, just like we love it. If we weren’t watching our weight, we would make the drive out to Dearborn weekly for this manoushe. But for now, it will have to be a once a month thing. I love you Zaatar W Zeit!

Been here many times, it’s tiny(only 4 little tables) but the people are very friendly and the food crazy delicious! Be sure to try the Veggie with Cheese pie on their special«Jeerish» in English it’s called«Groat»(a hulled or crushed grain! esp. Oats). It’s airier, slightly sweeter with way more flavor than the regular crust and don’t miss the tiny one bite, thin crust spinach pies too!
