This is probably my favorite pizza in Denton. Fresh ingredients with some fun ones that you typically don’t see. Lots of toppings and sauces to choose from. They also offer vegan cheese, which is also nice to have. Pizzas are cooked quickly, in about 5 minutes. I always build my own pizza, and you can choose as many toppings as you want! The pizzas are the perfect size for one person who is pretty hungry, I usually have a couple slices left over. I had enjoyed everything I have ordered from there!

I did not like it as much as some of the other pizza restaurants in Denton, but it was still good. I love that it is unlimited toppings and a pretty good price. It is set up basically like a Subway sandwich shop. You go to the counter and pick your crust and then you can pick everything you want to go on your pizza. They have a very large selection of ingredients, and they even have vegan cheese for an extra cost. They were pretty generous with the toppings, and I chose a lot of toppings because they have some good ones. Then they put the pizza on a conveyor belt to go through their oven and about two minutes later it comes out the other side. The pizza was pretty good. I would definitely be happy eating it again. I think that I do prefer crooked crust or mellow mushroom. You should definitely give this place a try though.

I like your pizza. Sauce is a little sweet, so I usually go for olive oil and garlic base. Overall very good. But, your staff. I hate saying that. But goodness gracious your staff is awful. I’ve had a staff member talk to me about how high he was. While making my pizza, a gentleman scratched his crotch with gloves on and continued to make my pizza(what?!). I’ve walked in and had no one greet me, no one behind the counter, while hearing staff laughing in the back and me standing up front. I work in service industry. I’ve trained stores on customer service and hospitality. I still eat here 2 – 3 times a week because I live right next door and I like the pizza and price, but really. I’ll come manage for you and train your employees! Goodness.

I love this concept. Quiznos meets Pizza Hut and had college student prices. You step up to the counter and tell them what kind of crust you want, followed by sauce and toppings. They make each personal size pizza right in front of you and pop it into the conveyor oven. By the time you pay and get your drink the pizza pie is done and they call your name. Very affordable as well. Mom would be proud of you coming here instead of the burger and fry joint.

Delicious personalized pizza, and if you didn’t like it then you chose the wrong toppings. Been here twice, and both times received quick service with a smile. The place is clean and inviting, and the staff encouraged me to ask questions. I got the pizza bundle with side salad(important to eat healthy), for a total around $ 11. The salad is served in a pizza crust bowl, a bit weird but unique to this restaurant. The house vinaigrette tastes good, and the lettuce and carrots are fresh. The first time I got the chicken carbonara pizza, and it was heaven on earth, so creamy and flavorful, and it was thin crust so it wasn’t too heavy either. Chicken, bacon, alfredo, mushrooms, parmesan, mozzarella, provolone, what more could you want? Eye candy and mouth candy. The second time I got the pesto chicken alfredo. Unfortunately not quite as good as the carbonara, The pesto felt like an afterthought, and didn’t really stand out or contribute much to the pizza, with most of the flavor coming from the chicken, alfredo, and black olives which I added. it wasn’t bad, just not as good as the carbonara. But really, at the end of the day each pizza is the same price, so you can make your own and put whatever you want on it. So if you got something you didn’t like, then why did you order toppings that you wouldn’t want?

Loved everything about this place! It is cheap, fast and the servers are super friendly. Imagine a Subway, but instead of sandwiches, you get pizza! One price! No extra charge for extra toppings. I had the thin crust which was fabulous. Very fresh veggies for your pie. I give this place a high pie!

Customer service is amazing. Being a pizza lover I’ve witnessed many different employee persona. By far the most cheerful, and energetic employees at a pizza place in Denton. 5th time I’ve been this month. I like pizza a lot, but also like my salads!!! Super cool they serve beer too.

My son and I went to Pie Five over the weekend. We both really liked it. The two pizzas that we got were very different from each other, and both really good. My son ordered a custom pan pizza with marinara sauce, mozarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and a few other things. His pizza had the standard types of toppings, but it still came out really good. I tried to get something a little different. I got the Athenian pizza. It had olive oil, chicken, garlic, feta cheese, and some other stuff. There is no tomato sauce. It is different than most pizzas, and I thought it was great. The price was excellent, too. It was a good way to order pizza, and we had very good quick, service, too. I would definitely go back again;.

I’ve been about 4 times to this pie five and have never been dissapointed. Pie five offers a variety of crusts and toppings to choose from allowing you to create your own pizza anyway you want. The topping selection is vast and includes mushroom, olives, 3 different types of tomatoes, cheeses, meats, artichoke hearts, and peppers just to name a few. The pizza is cooked in about 3 to 5 minutes so it is a great place to stop by for lunch during a busy day. The customer service is nice and friendly and are there to assist you with anything. The lobby is always clean and we’ll kept. All in all Pie Five is a good place to grab a quick bite whether it be for lunch or dinner. It’s inexpensive and offers a lot of options for you to customize your pizza to your liking.

This was my first time going to a pie 5 and it definitely won’t be the last! I love their concept, a customized pizza in less than 5 minutes! This location is very clean and the staff is very friendly! For my spin on a white pizza I recommend a pan crust rubbed with olive oil and garlic. Add mozzarella, ricotta, and cheesed topped with grilled onions and you’re less than 5 minutes away from delicious pizza heaven. Their outdoor seating is very convenient and you can watch your car if you parked at meter parking outside :)

YUMMY! The pizza here is so dang delicious! It’s very pricey for the size that you get but it’s worth it. Not better than crooked crust but it’s still worth a visit. The staff that works here is über friendly. Almost too friendly… haha. I still don’t understand why it’s called pie 5. My pizza had 6 slices.

Best pizza on the block. Brandt was very helpful and super kind on our first visit here. All of his recommendations were top notch and I was very pleased with the service despite it being close to closing time. The service/atmosphere alone was reason to come back. Then I tried the pizza. Brandt was absolutely right about everything. Putting garlic on the sauce under the cheese was incredible. Mixed with the sharpness of the cheddar… I forgot I was eating a $ 7 pizza. This place you get every bit of bang for your buck. I would highly recommend and I will be back. Sorry jimmy johns and pita pit, you have been replaced thanks to Brandt knowing what a mans pizza should be made of. I’d give it two thumbs up but I can’t put even the last bite down. Overall great experience. Can’t wait to try something new next week — especially for the price! Do yourself a favor and give this little pizza joint a shot. You’ll thank me later. Edit: Don’t skip dessert. My girlfriend and myself were stuffed but split one of the chocolate cookie slices and it was perfect.

I ended up with a decent sized personal pizza(almost the size of a small at other locations) and it was delicious. I liked the price — cost me $ 9 for the pie and a fountain drink. Honestly, the pizza was better than some of the other pizza places in town, and the staff was friendly & helpful. No extra charges for using a credit card(I really hate that tomfoolery) and everything was ready in less than 10 minutes.

Personal pizzas. It is sufficient enough for a meal. You can put whatever you want on your pizza. Sometimes you can get coupons where you don’t pay that much money for pizzas. Also they give you opportunities to get 20 percent off your pizza. Fan of Pie Five!

Yummy yummy yummy! The prices are fair for all toppings you can get on a personal pizza. I really like it because it’s easy and everything is so flavorful. I would definitely opt for the pan style pizza, it’s definitely more filling. There also lots of special deals via e-mail that you can get so you don’t have to pay the full $ 6.50 per pie. :) I’m always looking for deals so don’t forget to sign-up for their e-mails.

I’m a skeptic when it comes to the new additions on Hickory and Fry. I’ve been in Denton for nearly six years, and while I missed the Tomato train, I’m still partial to the dusty, abandoned lot that used to fill the spot of Sterling Apartments, and I preferred the strip of oddball shops like The Corkscrew and the barbershop I never went to, now both replaced by Chipotle and a slew of other weird chains. Pie Five, however, is a different story. I work for UNT, so I’m privy to some badass deals. On this occasion, I was given free passes to their soft opening on 1÷18÷13. So of course I went to get my free pizza on. Pie Five is a chain, but a friendly one thus far. It’s been compared to the Subway of pizza, but I’d only make that comparison if I thought Subway was good. You can select their menu pizza creations or build your own, with unlimited toppings. My constant dining companion, Bobby, and I arrived around 4:30pm. The place had a decent amount of customers, but there was plenty of seating and the line wasn’t too long. I wanted to give the Chicken Carbonara a try(Italian Herb thin crust and Alfredo sauce, topped with chicken, bacon, mushrooms, Mozzarella/Provolone blend, Parmesan and crushed red pepper), and I’m happy I did. I don’t generally like chicken on my pizza, but it was pretty solid. Bobby and I split that one as well as the traditional Pie Five High Five, which is a meat-laden pizza — pretty standard fare. In the future, I’ll opt for the regular crust, as it’s much more filling and substantial. And since all the pizzas are the same price, it’s a big difference in getting more bang for your buck. Or dough for your dollar. I have a bunch of coupons, so I’ll definitely be back at some point. I’d say it’s on par with most of the decent pizza joints in town, but without the holier-than-thou attitude of J&J’s or the off-putting delivery service of TJ’s.

A brand new pizza place is just added to the Denton’s ever-growing food scene. Great price for individual-size pizza, fast service for getting a quick bite, diverse crust and top options(including gluten free crust), unlimited toppings with no additional charge, and the pizza here tasted good!!! It sure will bring foot traffic to the fry street, and add a positive note to the fry street redevelopment project. At least, I hope Pie Five Pizza Co. will stay.

Came here on grand opening day, whoohoo! I love Pie Five and was introduced to this concept a few months back and have tried different locations. I really enjoy that you can go in, pick any type of pizza you want, add as MANY toppings as you’d like, AND pay one low flat rate. The ambience is very chill and is a good place for anyone who craves pizza but doesn’t want to buy a whole one. The personal size pizzas here are large enough to get you full especially if you add lot of toppings. The food is fast, the ingredients are fresh, the food is consistent, and it’s completely made-to-order, exactly how I want it. *TIP: Sign up for their VIP List Mailing Club and get specials and a free Pizza for your birthday month– that’s actually what brought me in that day. Actually funny story, I was on my way to Denton from Ft. Worth and was planning to grab lunch here and craved pizza so looked up «Pie Five» to see if there was one in Denton, and the website said«COMINGSOON». I was sad, but figured that I could find another quick place to dine. While driving around Denton I FOUND the Pie Five and saw signage that said«NOWOPEN» and was beyond excited. Ordered my food, ate it, got a box for leftovers, then chitchatted with the manager to see how long they’ve been open. «Actually. TODAY. This is our grand opening!» Well, good job, Pie Five, I’d definitely recommend you, and wish you were around when I went to school in Denton!
